  • In this clip from the episode " The Roy Clark Show " Oscar`s army buddy stays over and drives Felix crazy till he realizes how talented a musician he is and tries to get him a new career. This series is one of my all time favorites and i hope it will become yours as well. These clips are a tribute to Tony Randall and Jack Klugman so please enjoy and then go out and buy the entire 5 seasons on DVD you wont be able to stop laughing. Its a 70`s sitcom but the comedy is timeless

It’s a shame that most young people today will never appreciate the genius of Roy Clark. Truly a master guitarist, only rivaled by Les Paul and Eddie Van Halen for their mastery of this instrument. However, Roy Clark was a prodigy, skilled in many instruments and blessed with a wonderful singing voice as well. If I had to make a choice, I would have to say, Roy Clark was the greatest musician the world has ever known. R.I.P. Roy, there will never be another like you.

Some smokin' fretwork from Mr. Clark. I love the harmonics at the beginning. He's playing borderline metal on those runs. The final Odd Couple season gets unfairly slagged. It included some of their best episodes. Klugman and Randall were so in the zone by then it's effortless yet completely on point. Creatively I think the show was just reaching its peak, and had at least another 2-3 year run at that high level. They took some great chances with storylines too, giving Randall and Klugman a chance to show some different sides of both character and their acting prowess. The 5th season deserves more credit. The show had not peaked, it was still creatively in ascent. Though I hate the generic blue screen they used as background for closing credits.

Piano keeps playing for half a second after the hands come off... 4:04, and you can hear it being played just after Felix has walked away from it... 4:17, as I said.
