Hope you made it somewhere after this. After 6 years I had to seek out this video, it was that memorable.
You need to WIN my friend...I've basically watched most of them and your the only one for me that captured the sound of the bands direction. This to me was amazing. That kind of voice you can close your eyes to and drift off into something else :D
The instrumentals alone were so melodic and beautiful without a singer, if you get chosen on top of that this band has me sold

Only listened to a few auditions, mainly from pretty established guys like Brian Storm and Mikey Sawyer, and you easily have the best lyrics and best sound for this band. Hope you win man.

Hope this wins!! I think this rendition captures the feel of the song the most. Among my top three (you, Matt Turkington, and Katie Thompson), this is the canon version in my head already. It's fucking awesome!

Greg! also I can see this guy and Matt being in a band together (Matt not only sings, he's a multi-instrumentalist as well, with an emphasis on bass. I'm friends with the dude. The guy is also an amazing bassist)

This is beautiful Austin. The ethereal atmosphere you were able to portray with your voice and vocal composition is incredible. Some parts reminded me of Dan from Tesseract with a mix of Anthony Green. If you don't win this, I honestly don't know what they're looking for because this is sincere flawless perfection.

I've only listened to a few entries thus far, but right now yours is my favorite.
Only reason why this audition wasn't flawless to me was because some spots weren't as smooth as others, or they were a bit shaky. Perhaps drawing in more air before melting women (or men😉)with your incredible man-breath would help. Keep in mind, this is my own personal opinion. The last thing I want is for someone thinking I'm being an asshole.😎
Other than some iffy spots, it was fan-fucking-tastic! The vocals toward the end were spectacular! You seemed very emotionally invested, which is ALWAYS the most important part in vocal performaces.
Anyways, great job, man! Whether this gig works out for you or not, please keep doing what you're doing!
Hey Cameron, thanks for the sincere feedback! I am always examining myself and trying to find ways to improve my abilities. I think every time you go back to something you've done, you can always make it better. It will (almost) always come out as something closer to what you can proud of. Having been able to sit on the way this audition came out for a bit now, there's absolutely things I would do differently, or build on, (or perhaps even rehearse a bit more haha!) but I do also accept that though as imperfect as this audition is, that it was a 100% natural reaction to the song based on my own experience with music, life, all of it! I am very, very emotionally involved with this, even though we just met. The connection with people I've been able to make through this project has already changed my life. I simply cannot wait to see where else this road may take me.

Loved the last chorus when you were hitting the higher notes
After listening to some others for almost three weeks (including the nice Devin Barrus version), I just can't help having yours as my favorite one. I believe that the lines you wrote match up just perfectly with the harmony of the song - they flow so naturally you can feel them instantly - and with your lyrics which, even being deep and suitable for different interpretations, one can tell they are very intelligible and not as artificial as the genre seems to demand nowadays. I really believe your version is the most refined but still the most natural on here. I hope you'll be the one to take part in the project.

You sound so amazing, you found they key and tone of the song in the best way possible I love it, the only recommendation I have is having taller vowels when you sing. It really helps the notes sound more full and resonates the voice in a more powerful way.
