He said up front that he was soooooo tired..... Mustii is such a nice intelligent guy, so humble, very sensitive but full of humor, a down to earth real artist with a stunning voice. In fact, he does not need the Eurovision stage: we are looking forward to his 3rd album, to his planned concerts, the first 1 to come is sold out, he has great acting skills too, so looking forward to his next movie in progress. Huge respect for him, he's a free spirit, we love him, he has a bright future in front of him, he is our winner and he stole our hearts!
I’m from Belgium and I also felt the same way. His past performances were a bit better but here his vocals felt really shaking to me and indeed flat. He wasn’t pitch perfect in a song where vocals are everything, I also didn’t like the staging, a prop where you are standing still the entire time is not a good choice. Has proven to not work in the past. Wasn’t a real performance to me and I think that’s why it also didn’t qualify. Sad but it wasn’t the best, goodluck to all other countries!🙂
Finally, someone is calling it for what it was: FLAT AF. I had exactly the same facial expressions when I was watching the show, and was even yelling at the screen: "You were flat throughout all the pre-parties and you're STILL flat on the live show?!" He is either too arrogant and didn't realize he was flat, and/or had nobody on his team giving him feedback. I loved the studio version of the song and that's why I was so pissed with the live performance, and also now seeing all the fans writing "robbed" when he clearly robbed himself of a place in the final, because I could barely look at the screen while he was performing and had to cringe away.
I was so dissapointed with the staging, it didnt fit the song at all. Real shame cause the song was one of my top favorites before the live performances. And I agree on the singing, Idk what went wrong there
As a performing musician where the performance is just as important as the vocal ability, it’s really upsetting to see barely any compliments to Mustii even pulling it off a little. Yes I do agree his pitch was off in places however the performance and energy Mustii gives is unmatched in my personal opinion and even with the mistakes he made it was still a top tier song and performance that I really feel deserves more recognition. Music is more then vocal capability, and any musician that has performed can understand that it is honestly difficult to keep a pitch. He did great for what it was, and shouldn’t be disregarded as “bad”
Right, for what i see most people love this one so you (an vocal coach) saying its too flat is very interesting to me. I am loving most songs this year, and now one month later still really loving one song for days, just to move on to really loving another song
I’m glad I’m not going insane, thank god I saw your video! So many comments online seeming genuinely surprised he didn’t qualify. As sad as I am that he didn’t, his singing in the chorus was sharp and off key throughout - undoubtedly that’s the reason for the NQ. And yes he was better in the outro, I agree. And people in the comments critiquing a pro’s in depth, detailed analysis here of what was great and what *objectively* wasn’t - please stop. It does you no favours. Not providing critique to artists at all just enables limiting habits for them that holds them back from being even better at what they do. 🤷🏻♀️
Indeed! I love the song and Mustii. But he was off pitch, too flat… also slightly too fast in the beginning and too nasal… the choir being fans and the orchestra is so amazing, I wanted him to do better, but I was fearful from the PreParties…
I was so sad about this. It was rhythmically and vocally a bit off (too nasal) and off key. I love the studio version and I wish him all the best for his concert and films.
Alright then, if you can give a professional analysis to this level, I welcome you sharing a link to your video? This vocal coach is on the money, and being kind about it but ultimately fair. Negative feedback sometimes is needed for people to get better, otherwise we’re just enabling people’s things holding them back from greatness!

i agree, belgium, poland, and netherlands are the most overrated entries of this year i can’t stress that enough
This song was way over his abilities

Great and amazing song. I like Musti. But, his vocals were not good enough to handle the song. On the other hand, he was not up to the task.

I love the song and I love mustii, but sadly he just didn’t deserve to qualify with his vocals
He was great , ... maybe you should listen again ...

You couldn't do 1 gram of what he did.
