This episode makes no sense. Reva discovered that Leia could resist mind tricks. The conclusions: 1. She has been trained (a child?). 2. Her mind is very strong and she is likely Force-sensitive. There are no other conclusions, and if Reva knows this, then the other Inquisitors must know as well, because for some reason, Leia was being prepared for torture - which means Vader could also know. She cannot return to Alderaan, but we know what happened... 12:00 [*] Tera Sinube A valuable piece of information is that there are no visible wounds on his body (there might be one we don’t see, but he did not die from clones, as there would have been many wounds). He was most likely captured in a duel with Inquisitors while defending younglings. (Everyone else here seems to be Jedi, maybe there are some Knights of Ren, and other organizations.) 15:33 That’s a Purge Trooper. As the name suggests, it specializes in fighting Jedi. Initially, they were clones, but now they are likely regular soldiers. 17:00 It would have made more sense if he was just leading Leia by the hand. It would have been far less suspicious than this. Plus, the reaction of everyone, including the Inquisitors... Why did only Reva notice? Oh, because she is the main antagonist, and the story is also about her. 17:45 The fortress has a lot of defenses because, logically, it's not just for killing Jedi; there are also prisoners there who could be recruited. Yet, for some magical reason, nothing was working, including the radars, patrols, anti-aircraft defenses; there might have been shields, but okay, they might not have been activated. If needed, the entire fortress could be even flooded. (So logically, seeing two unknown objects in the air in an attack formation, I wouldn't wait - I’d respond with fire.) 18:40 This scene is funny. Vader is ready to kill because Reva allowed Kenobi to escape. Reva mentions the tracker. Vader calms down. And then the line: "Kenobi is all that matters." I'd like to point out that Kenobi was right here in the fortress, and Reva let him escape. By saying that only Kenobi matters and that she used a tracker, she contradicted herself in two sentences. For Vader, only Kenobi mattered, and this should have been the moment of her death, because she failed and let him escape, but for some reason, Vader enjoys watching Reva’s incompetence. Additionally, without going into details, I will say that a large part of this episode is a copy of something else. Unfortunately, this isn't the only episode like that (you'll understand later). The director mentioned that her knowledge of the lore is limited, and she didn’t add anything original, just copied something poorly. And here’s a funny fact: If you look at the map, our group is flying from Nur to Jabiim. They literally pass by Alderaan in a straight line. They could have stopped to drop off Leia, and Kenobi’s mission would have been over. I can forgive this, as I didn't know about it until I saw it on YT, but it is funny. We could explain it by saying Kenobi had trouble with maps (remember how he tried to find Kamino). And since you’re close to Rebels, I recommend watching Old Republic before that. That’s what I’m thinking, it’s certainly impressive that she’s able to resist this type of thing but then it becomes obvious she’s Force Sensitive, Reva’s already made it clear she doesn’t care that she’s a senator’s daughter so Leia would at the very least be put on the Empire’s Jedi Watchlist. I thought I couldn’t see any injuries to him. Honestly, I’d love it if he died defending the younglings as that seems perfect for his final moments and kind of makes up for how horrifying this fate is. Wish we got more on these guys, would have loved to see a fight scene between Kenobi, the Inquisitors and Troopers specially trained to fight Jedi. That’s a really good point 😂😂 They should have seen these ships coming from a mile away, yet they arrived with no trouble at all. That’s such a good point! It’s a complete contradiction in the writing, if Kenobi was all that mattered, Vader would have still killed Reva for letting him get away as he doesn’t care about all the others the tracker would lead him to. It’s a shame that the creator didn’t add original things in but so far for me it still feels pretty solid, still want to know what this is a copy of though 😂 The maps are quite an interesting detail but do seem easy to miss and considering the director wasn’t well versed with the Lore that’s easily forgivable but still a funny mistake. I may have already recorded the first stuff for Rebels… but I will definitely get to this even though they’ll be out of order, thank you again for the links too.
Ah yes, the episode where Disney NERFED lightsabers, where suddenly there is a safety mode? Cause Kenobi's saber didn't cut the troopers guarding Leia lol. Just bounced off and it took like 3 hits to beat a trooper....
In regards to Reva being unable to read Leia's mind. There's two parts to that, one is it's possible that she "failed" cause there was nothing to read lol. Leia knew nothing about the Path. Secondly she might not be trained, but she is a Skywalker. Meaning she has natural talent, and Leia was always a strong willed person, remember even Vader in Episode 4 couldn't get anything out of her, like where the Rebel base was.
It's honestly really impressive if she was able to resist something like that at such a young age but surely that would have put her on a watchlist of Force Sensitives or something.
Although this episode was poorly received at the time, there was a lot to enjoy and I’m glad you found it fun. The problem lies with the editing; this installment actually ran much longer but fell victim to heavy cuts. Why it was felt the episode needed trimming is beyond me. This is being shown on a streaming service, not broadcast television. Time constraints should not be an issue. Just a very strange decision. Mind tricks only work on the weak-minded and Leia is anything but. Even for a 10-year-old, she’s strong as Reva points out. Plus, Leia’s birth parents were both strong-minded individuals and it’s a trait she inherited. The Jedi tomb/trophy room was chilling. Obi-Wan's horror is played very well. Leia freaking out when she’s about to be tortured is the first time we actually see her frightened. And it’s a disturbing notion the Empire has handcuffs that fit children as well as a torture chamber that can be adapted for someone little. Intentional or not, there’s one shot of Leia illuminated by red lighting that mirrors a similar one in The Empire Strikes Back. Leia hiding beneath Obi-Wan’s coat is silly, but Star Wars has its silly moments, and you just have to go along for the ride. I absolutely love that you can tell it’s Hayden Christensen in Darth Vader’s suit. That walk is unmistakable!
This actually explains a lot, feels like this episode was missing a lot and it's such a shame as its faults could easily be fixed with more context. It's honestly so impressive that she was able to resist that since she's so young and not trained, makes me wish she got trained with Luke in the OT since she has this much potential. I keep thinking the Empire can't get worse and they keep finding new and horrifying ways to prove me wrong 😂 Looking back that scene was super dark, it makes it so clear that this isn't a new thing and the Empire is not only prepared to do this to children but has probably done it before since everyone involved acts so casually. The coat was an odd choice but I can definitely get passed it 😂 It's so cool that Hayden got to wear the suit for this!! It's so impressive how he's able to capture both Anakin and Vader so flawlessly!
Why 😭 😭 😂 😂 Can’t these guys just rest in peace? Honestly, I thought the Empire had reached its limit of Evil until I saw this but now I know there is no limit, they will just keep finding new ways to horrify me.
It's probably most hated episode, but i personally like it. I enjoy force/saber action and estetics of this one. OFC there are some logic issues like Tala stormtrooper helmet smack or "hidden" Leia, but i can live with it.
The cinematography for this one was great with how they showed off the Inquisitorius, but yeah overall this is probably the weakest with these faults but those can be overlooked.
It still makes me sad seeing Obi-Wan still haunted by Anakin. 😭 It's not immediately obviously if one tried to remember what happened in the OT, but looking into it, Leia, in ANH, completely resisted the mind probe, showing how strong she is, and she may be an adult then, but she still definitely does not have training. Reva's strong, but she's reckless and not as smart as the other inquisitors. I'd bet money on the G.I. or other inquisitors to be able to look into her mind. It did still sow that Leia has that natural force sensitivity like Anakin had as a child.
I love that Kenobi's going on this journey now, it's so sad but it feels right with how strong their connection was in the Prequels and now this is what's come of it. It's honestly really impressive that she was able to withstand it when she was this young with no training, now I just wish she got to train with Luke in the OT given she has so much potential.
@@benspiller just realized my typo. Meant to type "show" instead of "sow". That aside, it is very unusual how she was able to resist it being so young, but knowing the bloodline she's a part of, I 100% can believe it.
It's honestly so impressive that she's this strong when she's so young 😂 only wish she got to train with Luke in the original trilogy given she has this much potential
It's definitely an interesting choice 😂 having ship lasers that are designed to go against other ships be deflected exactly like regular blasters would suggest that stormtroopers carry around the same type of weapon the Star Destroyers use 😂😂
You can suspend your disbelief enough to "grasp" unbelievable things like the Force or whatnot, but you can't bring yourself to get over how a little girl can hide beneath someone's skirts?
I can't think of a logical answer as to why that place would have a room in the basement with nothing but a circular hole that is a free pass into the ocean.....storm troopers doing some fishing?
What's really funny is that even Leia's actress made fun of the coat scene into a hot mic at Star Wars Celebration. I guess we can only assume it was a Jedi mind trick: "You will all pay no attention to the humongous tumor in my hip." I love this show more than most, but come on.
I love that even she realises how silly it is 😂 This has got to be what Kenobi was thinking during it 😂😂 no way he walked out actually thinking that would work!
Honestly, a temporary setback with the con, but it doesn’t matter, especially since it’s just a minor one. And my friend, you probably know that James Earl Jones is gone It was honestly emotional but I had a feeling it was going to be inevitable. He was a truly great man and my request when you make the next episodes I like you to do your best to honour him thank you.
Absolutley, Kenobi's development with the Force in this episode is enough for me to look past the faults this one had. Heard about his passing this morning, it's such a shame he's no longer with us but he led such a great life. Not sure how possible that would be, I record quite a bit in advance so it'd be like two weeks before that video gets released, I might do a post about him though so it can come out at a better time.
Escape too easy? I agree that this was stupidly easy... Leia under the coat: One could excuse this because there was a lot of chaos, so that obvious things stay unnoticed for longer, but it still feels like a bad decision for me and I cannot understand why they were doing this. It would have been extremely easy to just take a cargo crate on a cart to hide Leia in. I cannot understand how the witers decided against this obvious better choice... What bothers me even more is that the "rebel" ships managed to get so close to the base without being detected and without having the empire fight them. We even saw that there were Tie fighters stationed on the base, and they didn't even try to send them after the escaping ships. The Empire just admitted defeat, since I don't think that all the people except for Vader knew about the tracker. I wouldn't even ask for a fight, but at least let some fighters chase after them and let the "rebels" make the jump before taking critical damage... The show was tight on budget, because of the expensive actors and such, but still.... I can accept some plot convenient writing if there is no other way to move the plot forward, but for this episode, these conveniences could have been avoided easily with just little changes, which leaves me a little disappointed... Especially after even the animated shows manage to portray the Empire as more competent compared to this show. Just how hard was it for the Bad Batch to find Tantis and even though the empire wouldn't expect anyone to find this base, they still had turrets and starfighters to effectively defend against any threat....
Yeah, thinking about this episode more it really makes the Inquisitors look quite incompetent, the heroes got in and out so easily which completely undermines the fear factor of this place, and the entire setting just triggers more faults with how many ships were around and why no one went after them. The coat was definitely the worst part, and it boggles my mind how they could think of any other way to do this scene, but that said, the episode's good parts were good enough to distract me from all of this 😂 I think this show definitely wasn’t focused on showing the Empire as an imposing threat and rather focused on developing Kenobi, it’s a shame this was overlooked as they did do a great job with Kenobi and now, I can only imagine what this episode could have been like if they treated the Empire as the Bad Batch did.
As silly as under the coat is, in facilities like that with a lot of bored personnel just meandering around doing their thing, it's possible no one would notice. Unlikely but not impossible.
It's pretty much the same case as in A New Hope with Luke, Leia, Han and Chewie walking to the observation window in the Death Star. There's a photograph from the full sequence in which our heroes casually move past Imperial officers. A fragment of this scene is still present in the film. Han can be seen holding a blaster behind his back while glancing over his shoulder in case the officers took notice of them.
I guess 😂 But it did take me right out of the episode and surely there had to be a better solution, they could have stuck her in a crate or something and wheeled it to a ship.
@@benspiller maybe they were going for silly, as star wars is known for sneaking in slapstick here and there. Anyway, hey I appreciate how much you respond directly. Many TH-camrs don't. Keep up the good work

A valuable piece of information is that there are no visible wounds on his body (there might be one we don’t see, but he did not die from clones, as there would have been many wounds).
He was most likely captured in a duel with Inquisitors while defending younglings.
(Everyone else here seems to be Jedi, maybe there are some Knights of Ren, and other organizations.)
15:33
That’s a Purge Trooper. As the name suggests, it specializes in fighting Jedi. Initially, they were clones, but now they are likely regular soldiers.
17:00
It would have made more sense if he was just leading Leia by the hand. It would have been far less suspicious than this.
Plus, the reaction of everyone, including the Inquisitors... Why did only Reva notice? Oh, because she is the main antagonist, and the story is also about her.
17:45
The fortress has a lot of defenses because, logically, it's not just for killing Jedi; there are also prisoners there who could be recruited. Yet, for some magical reason, nothing was working, including the radars, patrols, anti-aircraft defenses; there might have been shields, but okay, they might not have been activated.
If needed, the entire fortress could be even flooded.
(So logically, seeing two unknown objects in the air in an attack formation, I wouldn't wait - I’d respond with fire.)
18:40
This scene is funny.
Vader is ready to kill because Reva allowed Kenobi to escape.
Reva mentions the tracker.
Vader calms down.
And then the line: "Kenobi is all that matters."
I'd like to point out that Kenobi was right here in the fortress, and Reva let him escape.
And here’s a funny fact:
If you look at the map, our group is flying from Nur to Jabiim.
After that, there won't be an option to go back because everything is connected.
Previously I gave it to you a bit chaotically this is the best option to watch:

It’s a shame that the creator didn’t add original things in but so far for me it still feels pretty solid, still want to know what this is a copy of though 😂
The maps are quite an interesting detail but do seem easy to miss and considering the director wasn’t well versed with the Lore that’s easily forgivable but still a funny mistake.
I keep thinking the Empire can't get worse and they keep finding new and horrifying ways to prove me wrong 😂
Looking back that scene was super dark, it makes it so clear that this isn't a new thing and the Empire is not only prepared to do this to children but has probably done it before since everyone involved acts so casually.
The coat was an odd choice but I can definitely get passed it 😂
It's so cool that Hayden got to wear the suit for this!! It's so impressive how he's able to capture both Anakin and Vader so flawlessly!
Force Sensitive people and their allies going missing, being added to the collection.
😬😬 I didn't think I could hate the Empire more but it keeps giving me reasons!!
About the frozen dead Jedi: there is a dark story about what the empire needs them for and I'm excited for you to find out
Why 😭 😭 😂 😂 Can’t these guys just rest in peace? Honestly, I thought the Empire had reached its limit of Evil until I saw this but now I know there is no limit, they will just keep finding new ways to horrify me.
The next two episodes make up for everything! As Indiana Jones says, trust me. With a 😊
It's probably most hated episode, but i personally like it.
Yes you have seen the bacta tank before, Luke was in one in Episode 5 after Han saved him.
I really need these things to be used more as they seem super powerful with their healing abilities but barely ever get used 😂
It still makes me sad seeing Obi-Wan still haunted by Anakin. 😭
It's not immediately obviously if one tried to remember what happened in the OT, but looking into it, Leia, in ANH, completely resisted the mind probe, showing how strong she is, and she may be an adult then, but she still definitely does not have training.
They can only get into the minds of the weak. Nobody breaks Leia. No one.
It's honestly so impressive that she's this strong when she's so young 😂 only wish she got to train with Luke in the original trilogy given she has this much potential
I don't complain a lot but deflecting laser fire from ships with light sabers is just past crazy to me.
Weird, when I clicked the video it STARTED the video like 5minutes into the video lol.
I can't think of a logical answer as to why that place would have a room in the basement with nothing but a circular hole that is a free pass into the ocean.....storm troopers doing some fishing?
It was an entrance port for underwater Imperial vessels.
What's really funny is that even Leia's actress made fun of the coat scene into a hot mic at Star Wars Celebration.
I guess we can only assume it was a Jedi mind trick: "You will all pay no attention to the humongous tumor in my hip." I love this show more than most, but come on.
I love that even she realises how silly it is 😂
This has got to be what Kenobi was thinking during it 😂😂 no way he walked out actually thinking that would work!
The coat was definitely the worst part, and it boggles my mind how they could think of any other way to do this scene, but that said, the episode's good parts were good enough to distract me from all of this 😂
I think this show definitely wasn’t focused on showing the Empire as an imposing threat and rather focused on developing Kenobi, it’s a shame this was overlooked as they did do a great job with Kenobi and now, I can only imagine what this episode could have been like if they treated the Empire as the Bad Batch did.
Keep up the good work
It’ll have to do.
Guy: I'm sorry I can't help.
(Two seconds later after telling his story)
Guy: Okay, if you want my help...you got got it!
Me: What the hell is even going on with this writing? There's mood swings and then there's just bad writing.
This wasn't a case of bad writing; it was editing. The scene was originally much longer but cut down.
That scene was super weird, went from adamantly not helping, sharing his one story and then agreeing to help. Somehow they guy managed to change his own mind 😂
This is probably the worst episode....the next two are awesome though 💖
Yeah.. 😂 I can at least look past its faults with how it built up Kenobi's connection to the Force but yes the next episodes really were amazing!!
