1. It takes anywhere between 8 to 15 seconds for switchover. 2. When one WAN goes down, there is a lag (as stated above) while connection re-establishes. During that people requests may get fail. Its better to get connected in Active-Active state as opposed to Active-Passive.

I am not sure how you will connect dongles with the LAN cable. If you can, then yes you can use it to bundle 2 connections. However, this is not a portable device and needs to be kept at home or office.

When we say SLOW, we need to understand if it is because of latency or the network speed. If it is latency, then any packet going via that WAN will still be delayed and the overall performance may still be impacted. Also, It will depends on how you have configured your load balancer. If you have indeed enabled Load Balancing and not just Link Backup.

But when we go ISP B everything going to that server is ok. Then sometimes viseversa. so Load Balancing + Link backup is only possible is there are 3 ISP then? 1 and 2 load balances then 3 is link backup? or no need link backup since load balancing will continue to ISP 2 even if ISP 1 is down? Yes, it will allow to combine bandwidths. I have also shown the combined speed in my videos. I had 2 ISP's with 50Mbps and 40Mbps speeds and I was getting 90Mbps as download speed when both are connected via Load Balancer.

I am using the same config. Airtel --> Load Balancer --> Archer C6. The only thing is that since this Load Balancer has max speed of 100Mbps, if you have Airtel plan of >100Mbps, speed will peak at 100.

Like I have two ISP, both are 20Mbps, So after load balancing, my download speed is 40Mbps, but the upload speed that I am getting is 20Mbps. Sir, instead replicating network failure by plugging out input from primary modem can u please explain/demonstrate how the fail over function works and how much time it takes to switch to secondary wan , when the internet goes down on primary wan under practical conditions e.g by plugging out rj11 from ur modem (repliciating if the signal to primary modem fails). Does it take same amount of time( around 24 sec as per this video @9.22) to shift to secondary wan or it keeps on searching on primary for 2-3 min. and than shifts to secondary.

Hello, I have 2 connections - Airtel and ACT. I've set both WAN's to dynamic IP. The load balancer picked up Airtel but it doesnt seem to recognise ACT. Then I figured from the system log that both ACT router and load balancer have the same ip. I then changed the IP of load balancer and set the ACT WAN port to static ip with ACT router address. Now, on the status page it shows both links connected but on the load balance tab (online detection) ACT WAN still shows as not connected. Am I missing something?
@@rajn2956 This is the reason. Sinxe your primary is active, hence online detection is showing Airtel. Unplug WAN1 wire and you will switchover happening and then ACT will show active in Online Detection
What about double NAT issue when wan is configured in dynamic ip mode. Also can the router have IP add as below 192.168.1.1 (1st isp router) 192.168.1.2 (2nd isp router) 192.168.1.3 (tplink load balancer)

Hello, I have recently purchased this exact Router and have been struggling for the past 1 week to get it to work. I have faced difficulties such as request timed out in all the sites but the Link is UP and pinging to google is also stable. I am not able to find out the problem where the ping to google is stable, video calls on zoom or skype is working but all the sites in the browser doesn't work. This happens frequently through out the day. I have tried every type of configuration and still didn't managed to figure out the solution. I have 2 WAN's both are routers and are connected to this load balancer via Dynamic IP. Please if you have any information regarding this problem let me know.

Simply put the LAN output to one of the LAN ports of switch and from others, connect your devices.

It will show randomly depending on how it is routing first few packets.

This is surprising and may have something to do with Switch config. I am using this for last 2 years and have alsso connexted other routers (working as switch) and no issues faced.

Hello, I have recently purchased this exact Router and have been struggling for the past 1 week to get it to work. I have faced difficulties such as request timed out in all the sites but the Link is UP and pinging to google is also stable. I am not able to find out the problem where the ping to google is stable, video calls on zoom or skype is working but all the sites in the browser doesn't work. This happens frequently through out the day. I have tried every type of configuration and still didn't managed to figure out the solution. I have 2 WAN's both are routers and are connected to this load balancer via Dynamic IP. Please if you have any information regarding this problem let me know.

I have a airtel fiber connection (lan to 480t+ wan via dynamic ip)
my 480t+ handles connections and dhcp
1. airtel direct connection works fine
2. but when connected via 480t+ internet drops contionously between few minutes and reconnects
have a win in ping with this solution load balancer ???

मुझे ये बताने की कृपा करें कि WAN1 जब फेल ही तभी WAN2 से चले WAN2 जब फेल ही तभी WAN3 ऐसी कोई सेटिंग हो तो बताये।
अगर ऐसा कोई उपाय नही है तो 4 WAN पोर्ट देने का कोई लाभ नही ।

*Can you tell what is policy routing
*If I connect two isp's internet cable to the load balancer then is it possible for me to set routing rules through which I can make some device use the first isp and other the second isp
*If I use the the load balancer in load balancing mode then when it combines more then one connection together and I speed test it which isp will it show while speed testing
You can put multiple rules and configure it the way you want.
