I remember when I was younger in Ibadan and I was working on Lodge street. Wale Thompson will just live his life like a normal person. Very humble and respectful to elderly people. I remember him greeting one mama and doing the normal half prostrating (bowing down to the point where one hand would touch the ground). Whenever he was going in front of our house in Agbeja street and we the children called his name, he would look back and wave his hand at us and we would all start arguing it was ‘me’ he waved at. I love him so much. I didn’t see him again until 2013 when I was invited to Ayedun Ekiti for a burial and he came to play. I couldn’t get up to go to the dancing area because I was wearing cassock as a Methodist priest. God bless you Agbaletu for this interview. I am writing this from the United States.

Agba Baba, I was laughing so hard when you said “Sincerely tẹ nsọ ti nlọ si bi mẹfa meje,” 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. You made him nervous (in a good way) and you were sure to ask your questions even if he attempted to dismiss your apt questions. Great job Bro 💯💯💯

Wale Thompson was the replica of Sir Shina Peters in the early 90s. He was like the second band of Shina Peters. Intact, if you could not afford SSP, the next band that will perform like Shina Peters was Wale Thompson. The ACE was the reign of the moment then, how time flies. Great to see him again hale and hearty. Kudos to Agbaletu and crew.

Wale Thompson kind of juju is supple juju, not Afro at all. Although it's a species from an afro background. Kudos sir. Maximum Respect uncle wale Thompson.

Agbaleetu is an amazing journalist. The gentleman guest was boring.
