    This is one of the best videos of it's kind that I've ever seen. The blending of the photos, old and new, is flawless. It's an absolutely brilliant job, And even the music was masterfully chosen. Well done.

    Awesome job with these videos! The now->then comparisons are some of the best I have seen. I know this is very difficult to do- finding the exact photo angles and even the type of camera/lens can distort the perspective and make it look wrong. This was impressive.

    Very dramatic presentation - brilliantly merged old and new film stock. I used to live in Germany and I will always miss my time there. A beautiful country gradually being dismantled by one woman's pursuit of a socialist-utopian Europe! Haven't we seen this kind of madness before? Bring back the D Mark and listen to Viktor Orbán before it is too late.

      Did you really have to add that modern political commentary ? Its a video made for historical reasons and youre on here blathering on about God knows what. Isnt there a forum or website you could find to vent in that way instead of youtube comments on a history video ??

    OZYMANDIAS
    BY PERCY BYSSHE SHELLEY
    I met a traveller from an antique land,
    Who said-“Two vast and trunkless legs of stone
    Stand in the desert. . . . Near them, on the sand,
    Half sunk a shattered visage lies, whose frown,
    And wrinkled lip, and sneer of cold command,
    Tell that its sculptor well those passions read
    Which yet survive, stamped on these lifeless things,
    The hand that mocked them, and the heart that fed;
    And on the pedestal, these words appear:
    My name is Ozymandias, King of Kings;
    Look on my Works, ye Mighty, and despair!
    Nothing beside remains. Round the decay
    Of that colossal Wreck, boundless and bare
    The lone and level sands stretch far away.”

    This could have happened to France too, and I'm talking about Napoleonic France back then the Russians also push the French army all way to Paris and Napoleon just like Hitler refused to surrender but at that time there was no advanced military technology to reduce entire cities to ashes.

    Hahaha, "only an eagle can get to it!" he says.
    (As they show a giant turkey vulture flying around.)😂
    "Where Turkey Vultures Dare!"
    The Bald Eagle is Native to North America exclusively, (from central Alaska, all throughout Canada and the mainland United States and as far South as Northern Mexico.) so, unless one escaped from captivity somehow, you'll never see a Bald Eagle flying around in the Bavarian Alps.
    Clearly the name, "Eagle's Nest," doesn't specify any particular species of Eagle, but showing a Turkey Vulture flying around lol is just WAY off the mark.
    (I'd still absolutely LOVE to go there someday it's a beautiful place.)

      Not sure of your point. I have never seen bald eagle mentioned in any of German history (or any of European history really) and there was no insinuation of bald eagles. Bald Eagles are just one of many types of eagles around the world and Germans and other European nations have used the eagle as a symbol long before the continent of America was "discovered".

    I understand Hitler was evil, and that he needed to be stopped, but why take that out on Eva Braun? She was his long time girlfriend, and eventually his wife. Why is she always referred to as his "mistress?" She had no part in Nazi planning or policies. It seems like an extra and unnecessary insult. As for this video...
    ... I was expecting some sort of post world war two videos from immediately after the conflict. Whoever put this film together did some EXCELLENT camera work. Some of these scenes are absolutely stunning! Good job.
