The BEST $35.20 I ever spent on a concert nothing has come close in a energetic performance like Skyscraper concert. What a performance. Only get 1 DLR in this lifetime.
Ozzy Thomas Gillday indeed. My first ever concert was summer 1980, San Juan Puerto Rico. Van Halen came with the Women and Children First your. I can still feel my ears ring and remember every song they played. The most ironic part is what my dad paid for it $12.50... Where have all the good times gone???....🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
The song was great but seemed like a "bait and switch" for the Skyscraper album --- most of the songs on that record are not very good and Dave's career declined
He was such a great performer!!! And gorgeous when he was young. This one of the best songs he did solo, nobody can top his showmanship & that’s what you want when u go to a concert.. I miss the 80’s & 90’s we had the best music!!
Thank you I needed this today! I remember like yesterday looking up Dave on the boxing ring and just stunned for his performance. I actually followed him all over Japan on that tour. It was great time. All the good memories. Still have the tour bandana :-)
Has to be one of the most uplifting songs ever written, by one of the greatest frontmen 😎👍 One of the greatest rock showmen of all time. Dude this song is so catchy, i love it Loved this.
Lovely! Dave, you are looking so comfortable in your own skin here and the climbing views are fantastic! One of my favorite songs 🎵 and congrats on the climb!!
80’s clips like this are like a DeLorean time machine to me. A decade full of excess and free of the choking political correctness and restrictions we have to suffer nowadays.

Total respect brother, glad you fought through the battle with Cancer!!💪🏼💪🏼. DLR is a total inspiration on and off the stage, but as are you for keeping your mind to push forward! Thank you for watching
Dave supposedly wasn’t happy with the more keyboard heavy direction of Van Halen’s music...and his biggest solo hit ends up being a keyboard heavy song. It’s also worth noting that Steve Vai despised Just Like Paradise but as always he did a great job of crafting unique guitar parts that added a more rocking feel to the track.
/Best Freggin performance on any rock artist. This should be digitalized and streamed forever as of the honor of our greatest rock artist in history Van Halen

This tour was the only time I saw DLR so I cant speak about his typical show quality. I can say that this show to date is the only one I ever walked out of. I was there mostly to see Steve Vai but, Dave's vocals were terrible that night. We got the usual high kicking, mic stand twirling show he was famous for but it was a big disappointment otherwise. I really wanted to like it.
Hola que tal! Desafortunadamente no tengo más de este concierto. Estos clips son del especial de TOSHIBA. Si encuentro más yo te digo y lo subo vale?👍🏼
Everyone gets old. He's still a black belt in Karate. I still wouldn't mess with him. As far as his singing goes, like I said, everyone gets old. When you go see someone who is old keep that in mind and just enjoy them in their golden years. Sure they may not be as good as they once were. Who cares? Just being in the same place as them watching them do their magic is well worth the admission price.
@@anthonyfazio503 Sorry,, he may be this and he may be that....but he lost his mojo years ago. The band is playing Van Halen tunes but he's singing show tunes, or country twang. In typical David Lee Roth fashion, turns a great studio song into an absolute turd live. He has always sucked live. Just sing the damn song instead of talking through half the lyrics.
Not gonna sugarcoat it, my grandmother could sing better, he’s not even trying, the original radio version is like night and day, he should have retired at 28
This tour sucked compared to “Eat Em & Smile - 1986”, I saw both tours at Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto Canada. It was better with Billy Sheehan there and a lot less glam and keyboards.

If there's any one song that catches the spirit of the 80's as a whole, this very well could be that one song.
If there's one song Roth got right after VH it's this one. Listen to those back up vocals. Playing with All stars!!!!!!!

He sings the way Vince Neil sings when he sings live.
