I saw someone post a game somewhere where the runner used encore. Corp's first turn: draw, install, credit (the corp had no ice in their mulligan). Runners first turn: Run HQ, access operation. Run RnD, steal agenda. Run archives. Encore. Run HQ, steal agenda. Run RnD, steal agenda. Run archives. Notoriety.

Having just played a Sifr Whizzard deck at a store champs, I think it may actually be better in Shaper. I'm sure some of it just came down to bad luck, and perhaps not the greatest economy engine, but I found that I had difficulty finding my Parasites during a few games. It also didn't help that some of my opponents were running Ark Lockdown.
I think the ability for Shapers to use both Self-Modifying Code and Clone Chip is probably better, although it's obviously hard to say for sure based on just a few games. Shaper's good draw combined with Kate's discount will make installing Sifr less of a tempo hit.
I will say this though; when the stars align, Sifr is downright oppressive. And in the right deck, the stars will align more often than not I think.
I'm excited for some of the other cards in the pack - I'm interested in trying Tracker and Aaron in Adam.

Did you ever end up reviewing the cards released after Flash Point?

Are you sure you can still use AaronM to draw even if you have no tags to remove?

That seems to be the consensus on jenteki.net

I've seen a ton of Sifr so far, and it's as bad as it seems. The downside isn't even a downside in many decks- they don't have to overdraw to dump their paperclip into the bin, giving them some nice action efficiency. It's just so toxic, and we haven't really seen anything to convince us that the sky isn't falling.

I've had fun using Beth+ Peace in Our Time+ Encore in a Shaper deck with lots of R&D multi-access (particularly Equivocation+Maker's Eye). Maybe not the strongest combo, but still fun.

Aaron M is bonkers. It's the card I've always wanted in order to deal with Breaking News... but it may just be too good
