As a dog walker I was walking a husky and pit bull who both had strong prey drive. They always chased lizards (on leash). One time I thought she was trying to chase a lizard. Instead she stuck her head in the bush and came out swung the rabbit one time and it was dead. She was so proud and dropped it at my feet .(a gift). Prey drive is real. Don't be surprised. It happens.
I enjoyed your little story! Reminds me of my dogs, I’m always very amazed with my huskies prey drive, even though I’ve had one of them for 7 years. It’s crazy the lengths they will go to over BUGS. 🤣 of course they like birds, bunnies and all those things too but we see a lot more bugs outside. It can be annoying when my pup wants to stop every couple of feet to pounce on whatever bug he’s found
Awesome!!! 😂 Thank you so so much for being honest and not emotional. My husky chases squirrels every time we go out, it's like they're always new to him. I don't let him actually go for it because of diseases. But, if he ever does, I'll worry about his health only and not care about the very natural kill.
you can train your animal how and how much you want, its nature will always remain the same, and dogs have been predators for thousands of years and this will never change @@BigBrotherTheWatcher1984
Glad Hila is okay! Tough to keep other critters out of our acre, fenced yard...most of our six huskies over 25 years have been efficient killers of rabbits, raccoons, ground hogs and snakes. We never encourage or want this to happen...but they are natural born killers, we always say. Unfortunately, one stray cat also lost its life !!! So sad !
People need to realize that Huskies were bred for different reasons and natural instincts is embedded into their genes though they can be trained out of these tendencies. My only concern is for a channel that is prided around the two dogs and their top tier behaviour that this should be addressed when he knows the full story and how it happened. Seems like bits and pieces of a story but when something like this happens with your dog and it usually never happens it can take time to identify
My Huskita Boy Moose will just sit down and stare at other wild animals forever. He doesn't even try to go after them... He is very quiet. He doesn't even talk much for a husky. He has his chatty moods but he is super chill. A lover not a fighter. Lol but I have no idea how he would react if he wasn't on the leash.
My 17 month old Husky patrols the fenced in large front yard/pasture area…..a lot like yours with the front porch facing outwards to it. He prefers to be outside rather than inside. So far this summer, he has brought me 2 dead ground squirrels, 2 dead field mice, got in a fight with a Bull snake (non poisonous), sprayed twice by a skunk, and encountered a toxic yellow/black salamander at 1 am. He never barks unless he’s encountered something…..so whenever I hear him bark, I immediately head outside….. day or night. He brings his kills to me and leaves them outside my window on the porch. 😱 It breaks my heart when he kills things and grosses me out when I have to remove them. I always tell him thank you though because he thinks he is in some way providing for me or respecting me as pack leader. (at least that’s what I’ve read) He is on constant alert…..not a blade of grass moves on this hill that he doesn’t know about. 😊 I think a Husky is just in their primal element when outdoors and free.
My first husky killed many cats, a bunny and some rats/mice. One of her puppies killed many chickens. I found females are more territorial. The males are more curious and love to bite things, but both are very protective of their human, especially when hurt
After watching, also have to say our female is also a lot more territorial on our new property. She’s constantly hunting mice the second we get outdoors. Our male is uninterested in other animals.. but always looking for a way out 🙄
My husky kills anything that comes into his 2 acre fenced in yard. Snakes, squirrels, skunks , opossums, rabbits, moles ( he loves moles. Probably loves the digging em up part more. If you have a mole problem, i will rent him out for the week. Your yard will look like a ww1 battlefield but you wont have a mole problem any more.)
The breeder we got our Malamute from very proudly told us that our puppy was raised with a cat. Well, evidently someone forgot to tell Montana he loves kitties. He found a cat in the backyard and there was a very vocal argument going on. My husband had to physically drag the dog into the house so kitty didn't go to that big sandbox in the sky. We live miles out in the Styx of Tennessee and no neighbors have cats. Our closest neighbor lives at least a mile away.
Haven’t watched in awhile!! You have land now?! Congrats! Also just recently bought property (inspired by our husky/malamute mixes). We also have four cats… would also like to see a video on how you integrate your huskies with your chickens!!
You take wonderful care of your doggies. Huskies are not easy dogs. Many breeds of dogs have a strong prey drive. I have a Klee Kai, the personality is Husky. Thank you for your great videos. Your ranch is gorgeous!
Really random question but what happened to the window AC? It’s in some clips but not others. I assume they were filmed on different days. Also is it for your computer/networking room or something because I noticed you have central air. Pardon me for asking I just notice these things because I’m an HVAC and Refrigeration tech.
I actually think the opposite with my Husky. He's a complete angel inside, like yours...but the inside is MINE...I'm the alpha indoors. When he's outside, that's HIS yard, and he protects it at all costs....he's ended a few moles, a rabbit, a juvenile raccoon, and a few mice....he barks at deer, delivery drivers, people walking down the street...indoors, not a peep.
I’ve had 2 incidents with my 2 year old female husky, 1st incident she ran out my side gate chased a cat about 3 blocks down the street, fortunately the cat ran up a tree but my husky sat there waiting for it to come down. Second incident she dragged a raccoon from a tree in our backyard as it was coming down, the raccoon was a juvenile fortunately I saw this happen and was able to take the raccoon from her after she violently shook the poor guy. The raccoon survived but it’s like you said her dog personality changes, she goes from this friendly, happy husky to a killing machine that doesn’t listen.
All three of my Huskies are pretty good with my inside cats but outside they aren’t allowed off leash as they each would chase and kill cats…and anything else that moves that they could get their mouths on.
What I have learned is my Husky will not kill a member of the pack (your cat). However, they will snap the neck of anything they see as prey. Very hard to break them from the prey mode. I always keep my huskey in a secure a kennel. If she gets out, she will kill small prey of anykind. Such as ducks, chickens and cats.
I have a neighbor across the street that invites tons of stray cats (outdoors only) and he just feeds them scraps of food. Of course when I leave to walk our Husky, she wants to chase the cats and eat the scraps. She’s getting better at bypassing it from training, but reality is her natural instincts kick in. She, like other Huskies just have a high prey drive. Wishing you, Hila, and Britney Spears (George) all the best.
My husky TAZMOND is a rescue dog and when I adopted him the lady at the shelter told us he killed a cat at the rescue and when he sees a cat or smell one he gets very agitated so I keep him away from cats and dogs too he’s really a people dog other animals he could care less about
I was walking my Husky and chased a bird and took off while I was being dragged. She came out of a tree with it in her mouth. It was dead. Couldn’t get it out of her mouth and she dragged that in the house with me behind the leash. I at least feel better knowing that it happened to others with various prey. Glad to see you guys have moved to a farm.,That’s what I wanted to do. It’s beautiful for you.
My huski did the same…huski is still a wolf like dog. She was so proud to show me here price! If she already taste real chicken, better have a very good fence, mine could break thru most of them when she was still young. Good luck!
I have two beautiful huskies, I have a red male just over a year old, and a pure white female who is almost 6 months. Amazing dogs, however, about one week ago my male killed a rabbit in our back yard. We have a fairly large backyard that we just had renovated so they couldn’t go out there, we had to leash them and take them upfront for 10 weeks. He’s had never killed anything or showed any type of indication that he would do anything like this. He seems to have gotten pretty territorial when we let him into the back yard again. I know that huskies have a strong prey drive, but he runs to the same spot every time we open the door. He’s even started digging under the fence where he killed the rabbit. We are having a professional trainer come out and work with us and our dogs so we know how best to work with them inside and out side. We have three cats in the house, and I’m afraid he may kill one of them if he wants too. I will tell you though, he was proud of his kill.
A cat got into my garden with my 2 huskies. The worst happened and the cat didn’t leave. It was horrible knowing my normally gentle girls could do something like that, but it’s just their nature I guess. I know the cat put up a fight coz one of their faces was all scratched up and she stank of cat pee . I was still devastated. I felt so guilty ( and still do many years later) but it happens I guess 😞 it’s important we talk about this honestly so people getting huskies, or other high prey drive dogs, are aware this can happen.
Nothing to feel devastated or guilty about. Territorialness and protection of space is literally in their DNA. The cat was on THEIR territory, and most likely was a very sick diseased stray. You're dog did it a favor. Cats are over populated, and carry nasty death causing diseases. You don't feel sorry for squishing a spider do you? You should feel guilty for acting like your dog did anything wrong, and not immediately take it to the vet and get it checked. The rank of the cat pee shows how sick it was. Dogs can live shorter lives as cat saliva carry microbial bacteria that can cause organ failure in dogs. I'm happy your dog killed that cat, and did it's job, and protected you. I'm ashamed of you for not rewarding your dog with a check up and good health & treats for protecting you.
@@smilesandthetwistedmd7608 no I actually think it was a family pet from up the street and it just got into our garden. I suspect it peed in fright. It was a long time ago. And I treated my dog for the cuts she got so we were all good. Thanks for the concern
@@gypsydal Oh ok. Im glad you took your dog to the vet. It wasn't so much I'm concerned, I just don't want you feeling guilty for a dog being a dog, and taking it out on them. If a cat wanders on to dog territory, it is what it is.
@@smilesandthetwistedmd7608 I appreciate that. It's more about me feeling bad it was somebody's pet y'know? To a child in the family it could be devastating for them. Life is life, and nature is nature but I'm a real softy for any animal. I just hope it was quick and poor kitty didn't suffer. ☹️
Wow! Hila didn't do it!😂 Gonna be tough but knowing you, 60, you can do it. Your property is gorgeous! You chicken have really grown. Take care and I love these videos❤👋
She did, and she's a good dog for it as stray cats can make a whole yard a death bed with the bacteria and disease they spread. Plus it's doggy instinct, especially huskies. Good Hila!
I have a Malinois who is very protective of the yard. He has killed some small animals before. Reprimand him but we have resorted to ensuring that any animals in the yard is out of the yard before he is let out to run.
*What a beautiful property for the beautiful Husky babies! Er live on half acre in California, but we are looking to relocate to the Deep south in the next year to get a bigger property and house for less $$$*
Been a fan for years, I train and rescue huskies, I have 3 , two boys 5 and a 1 year old spoiled rescue princess 😆 I also have a small poultry farm, I’ve trained them to ignore them and they are trained to protect their property and the animals on it. I trained my pups by putting a chicken in a pet carrier with some straw tossed in and putting it in the house, let them investigate and paw sniff and snoot, but correct bad behavior instantly, I also put the carrier and chicken in their yard. When chickens are boring you won and no more stinky chicken in the house 🏡, I will say my pups aka little wolves love their two kittens and ancient kitty, we have a problem with some bad stays that have tried to attack the chickens and our ancient kitty the pups will defend their silly pack ,the kittens might think they are little huskies. The pups will not let another animal hurt their kitties. And are very very protective of them and their property. Keep up the good work 👍 I always recommend your channel when the wolf pack and I meet people. Thank you 😊
My first husky killed 3 birds 2 snakes and about 9 cats. But in her defense that's just the prey drive in a husky. She was the sweetest girl. It's just a shame she had gotten brain cancer at 7 years old.
I know about how hard it is. Even in my backyard, my husky loves to chase the squirrels, birds, raccoons, possums… whatever. He killed a baby bird once and I lectured him. He doesn’t really chase them any longer. But I had to tackle him when he cornered the possum. Lol
I have ducks and chickens. After losing 9 chickens and 3 ducks to a coyote attack, I had 10 chickens and two ducks left. Trying to round up the remaining hens and ducks who scattered to the front property (they usually stay in an area at the rear of the property), my 6 month old husky, Bandit, chased, caught, and killed one of the ducks. He trapped it in the woods on the other side of a barbed wire fence and I couldn’t get to him in time. Recall was out the window, not that he’s great at it yet anyway. It was horrifying. He didn’t eat the duck but took it to the back yard and lay beside it. Almost like he was so very proud of himself. I need to learn how to deal with this. I too, have a working farm.
man......... seeing that you even had chickens on the property........ idk how to feel with the move overseas. even if you keep the property, unless someone is living there, it's like you have to dismantle stuff. :/ and just after getting such a HUUUUUUGE property for the doggos to jet around on. (i mean, i'm not underselling snow and them being able to play in their natural range, but still. also, fl, ugh. heat. i had to leave because of it.) anyway............. i only just recently saw your vid about moving. hope it all works out well. but super hope you could find some land to be on. 3 huskos in a small space.... seems like a lot. and tough for them, maybe. who knows. anywho best of luck sixty!
So we adopted a 9 mos old Husky catahoula mix, her dad is a husky and her mom is husky and catahoula, so she is very much more husky and has more husky characteristics. I assume since she is more husky, I need to understand the husky breed more in order to train her. Our other dog is a 5 yr old German Shepherd, and we have had GS is the past so we are very familiar with the GS breed and training. So my question is… do husky’s dig alot??? And get into a ton of mischief?? I have never experienced this much mischief with any of our GS nor have they dug 50 billion holes in the back yard! And yes she has already got a hold of one of our hens! Luckily we caught her before she killed her.
Hey Sixty! I Have a Similar Story to yours When I let my Husky in and Someone Opens a Door She runs Out and Trys to kill Animals, She Mostly Goes for Cats. How Would I Train Her to Not run out a door? Thank You for reading this comment
My huskies will stare at cats sometimes chase them outside the house, but they've killed pigeons and rats in our garden, they are protective of their home. Your Huskies lived with a cat, probably another animal like you thought 🤔
I have two Siberian Husky’s they are brothers and they will kill. I have had them since babies. My vet explained in detail about their DNA an even told me which one would be the stronger hunter. He was not wrong. They are raised with 6 house cats but if a strange cat comes in the yard it’s game on.
I have two amazing huskies that are amazing with my 10yo boy and me. I had regular squirrel visitors that would steal fruit from my trees, and I would jokingly go out there and talk to them about their obvious excitement and desire to get that squirrel. Last week, the little guy missed a jump or a branch broke and was on the ground for 1 second. My high-intensity husky dispatched that little guy with such speed and ferocity, that even with me yelling "drop it" at the top of my lungs, 2-3 seconds in her mouth did him in quickly:(. She too is super chill & gentle in the house, but when on walks, she's always darting right/left looking for something, and now I think I know what that something is. It's hard to reconcile their gentle side with the little predator that comes out from time to time. Backpacking is going to be challenging with her because I don't want her tied to me pulling me down with my pack, but I also don't want her killing every little critter that she sees. I hope Hela's behavior is temporary or something that you can train out.
I don't have a huge yard, but my husky keeps it pretty much critter free. He has killed a few rabbits, moles, mice... If we go out and a rabbit is in the yard, I try to keep him back until the rabbit exits the scene.😊
My 3 month husky won’t stop bothering and chasing my cats. We introduced her to them when she came last month. She has known them since she was small but now that she’s bigger I’m afraid she will hurt them. I don’t know what to do. I had a husky when I was a kid and he loved our cat. I thought it would be the same. I have 2 other dogs and they don’t bother the cats. I also had an English shepherd who passed away and he also never chased the cats. My dogs all ignore and respect my cats but my husky just won’t listen 😢
Same for mine . Ours is 2 1/2 and we just got her in October. I owned an older husky a few years ago we rescued who was the calmest girl ever I even put baby chick's on her nothing . This new husky we have is a growler , bit my 7 year old twice (not bad ) tries to get my cats and bunny . She has gotten out of our fence 4 times already .
My husky took a year or two to stop but she did. Now I trust her alone at home with the cat, nothing will happen except maybe some cat poop eaten from the litter box.
I have a husky and brazilian mastiff. One time there was a cat on our land and the entire thing happened so fast like it was insane. My husky started to chase the cat and he actually chased towards the mastiff who just waited. When the cat was close, mastiff killed it with a single bite. Grabbed it and broke its spine. Now I just try to scare away any cats that do get over our fence, but there is not much you can do. Sad when it happens.
MY huskies killed a cat right in front of me and well, it was a bit horrific and I'm a farm girl. Animal death isn't a stranger. My friend told me that my boys were just not socialized enough and it made me heart sick. Clearly we can't say that about your dogs. Thank you. I can see my friend was speaking through ignorance and I was shook enough by the event to listen.
I just wanna say not to feel too bad about the kitty, homie. (Idk your name sorry lol) as morbid and cruel as this may sound, it’s a part of life. Some people will scream that you need to be watching your dogs 24/7 so stuff like this doesn’t happen but i don’t think that’s entirely possible all the time. You have that fence for a reason, and like someone else has mentioned stray cats are a problem. Not only do they carry diseases but they increase their population like crazy and kill all kinds of wildlife. I’m also fairly certain cats are considered an invasive species.
Bandit kills rabbits and possums in backyard quite often he’s a 3 year old husky I don’t think I can untrain him from it.. he won’t go after other dogs even if smaller he will want to play but cat or rabbit is lock on death
I saved this husky from abuse & neglect and he is pretty terrified of making people angry or yelling. He freaks out when I try to train him same way as I've trained pitbulls. That's why I'm here and searching for answers on husky training. Today he came very close to killing a stray kitty that my neighbor feeds.. cat barely got away. Husky won't come when I call or stop when I say no. Also he craps repeatedly every night on my floor. Lately he's been going on pads but so many piles! And some aren't on the pads. We live indoors in an apartment and only place for him to run is a dog park, where he is fairly reasonable & listens half way. I am afraid he is permanently untrainable as he cry's and struggles if I try to show him his poop & say no.. any suggestions? I'm really worried about him getting out and going after the cats.. one is elderly and can't get away as fast.
My husky killed a baby ribbit… out for a walk at night, he saw the little bunny that didn’t see him, he pounced before I saw the rabbit. Grabbed it by the back of the neck and started shaking it violently back and forth. I got him to drop it, not knowing what it was, and the rabbit laid there twitching for a little while then stopped moving
One of my Husky's killed a cat once. It wasn't a Husky versus Cat issue at first. My husky was eating from his bowl outside. A stray cat came up and decided to "share" the meal. Surprisingly the Husky kept eating away and was "sharing" with the cat. Then, well, the cat hissed at him, hit him in the face with an open clawed left hook - and the rest is history. The husky finished the meal alone.
I've been considering a raw diet for my husky (and 14-year-old chihuahua) and I also have chickens. We recently had to rehome our other husky because it was obsessively trying to get at the chickens and finally bashed through fencing to kill one along with my daughter's pet duck. We found out that the previous foster home for that husky had a neighbor with free range chickens, so the dog was constantly tormented by running chickens. (We adopted both huskies a few months ago.) The remaining husky, Kira, doesn't seem to be bothered by the chickens. But I'm wondering if feeding my dog raw chicken will encourage aggression toward the live chickens. I'd love your thoughts on this. Thanks!
When i had my Eurasier , he killed a cat once while we were on a walk in the wild :/ And once a bird. I bet he had some malamute genes as his father didn't have the "rounded tail port" that usually eurasiers have, but the one that malamutes have, despite the fact he was an eurasier in his pedigree. So outdoor, he had some of the caracteristic behavior malamutes have, high predation instinct and territorial behavior when unknown animals were encountered; once he passed through a river to stab a goat on the other side in the "wolf style " using his mouth to knock down his prey by preventing breath. ( this time i was so scared out , fortunately he stopped this and returned ^^ ) Another time he was going nuts because of a chicken who "invited himself" in my property, i needed to calm him dawn as he was completely out of control , didn't know what was going on in his head at this time , but it was scary; fortunately my voice achieved to calm him down and he behaved like he was not knowing what he was doing, just like a sudden act of crazyness ! ^^
my husky lived with a cat for years and whenever she sees a cat that she doesn't know she tries to chase it, and if she is off leash or the cat comes into our yard she will kill it if she can.
Siberian Huskies and Alaskan Malamutes have high prey drives and they should never be left alone with small animals like bunnies and smaller dogs unless they are trained well
Obviously Huge difference in breeds, but my Yorkies were outside and one disappeared. Literally just disappeared. She is only 6 lbs. she came home after an hour and seemed scared but fine. A week later I found cat bites that were scabbed over on her. Don’t know how I missed them. I think it was in my yard and snatched her. Sorry but I see that cat again…..
Theory: Heila and Brittany Spears went behind there and found a coyote eating the dead cat and they started fighting. Heila managed to scare the coyote off but was injured in the fight.
Whelp, huskies do have a predatory instinct. My husky, Leah killed some of the neighbor's chickens. I had to surrender her, I started to have the onset of spinal stenosis and spinal arthritis. Wasn't fair to keep her and not let her husky out. I also found out that there was a state law about livestock and that she could have been shot and killed by the farmer. I couldn't let that happen. I miss her, but I get visits from her every now and then. Her new handlers let me stay in touch with her.
Well my husky killed a kitten and injured another cat. Despite my best efforts at keeping them separated I found a stray on the street and brought it home....UNfortunately it escaped the room it was in while I was at the supermarket and when I came back it was dead.....SO yeah Huskys are killers
So I recently got a husky puppy and I have a dachshund. The puppy triesto nip at my family’s dachshund but they do get along. I’m not sure if my husky will be a problem to my dachshund in the future because of their high prey drive. If they get to know eachother could the husky still potentially harm the dachshund?
My female husky got a hold of a groundhog in our backyard. I heard some rustling by our shed so I investigated and found she had it in her mouth. She wouldn’t let it go, so it did end up dying. I had my fiancé bury the body, but my other husky, my male, found the body, and started playing with it and throwing it up in the air trying to catch it like a toy. I was horrified.
You said there were flies around? I feel like it's more likely she got into a fight with a different animal. Perhaps one that came around because of the dead cat or maybe the other animal was bringing around the cats carcass and dropped it on your land after fighting hela
Huskies are very popular for being in animal shelters because huskies are a lot of hard work to handle which is why if you think of getting a husky you need to expect high energy, aggression, and destruction, but that's why it's important to train a husky very good huskies are usually aggressive they're usually just relaxed and they are very friendly most of the time but it depends on the person you are, the people you live with
Why my dad HATES dogs and love cats so when he was a child he had 7 cats one he spotted a cat outside his door he thought “what if I adopted the cat” now it was a kitten and was token to the vet with my dad. When it was a few days after he lives at lvl 2 cuz he has cats and then the kitten JUMPED down and a dog killed it.
Hi I’m new memebers and an subscriber I enjoy your videos they make my day but I would ask an question how do you like make them know the place bec I use to have 2 German shepherds dogs an girl and dog
I know how hard it is to have dogs and farm animals. I have a couple of great Pyrenees 2 pigs and 2 goats. Was a bit of aggressiveness at introduction but they warmed up to them
You have the wrong type of fence for keeping animals out. The squares are big enough for cats, skunks, racoons and other animals to easily get through. I find it likely a racoon or skunk was eating on the cat and that is what she fought. I know it's not what you want to do, but you really should replace the fencing with chain link or something with smaller gaps, under 6 foot wont stop deer, and under 5 foot the huskies Can get over it. You can socialize the dogs with the chickens and they can learn to not mess with them. My huskies get all the small critters that come inside my 6' high fence -- last week it was a suicidal skunk pe-ew
My husky has caught 4 cats in the last year. All while I'm walking him on leash, he pulls them out of thin air.. it's insane.. yesterday I was getting tires put on my truck at Walmart. I had ghost with me and was walking him past some shipping containers and a cat stuck his head out from the bottom of one and boom, he snatched it and rag dolled it back and forth while it was trying to slice his face off. It's so hard to get them out of his mouth.. 4 times now.. never been off leash.. and still catches cats
I Don't Think She Killed It,Because How You Said Flies Were Already All Over It By The Time You Got There!!!And I've Seen Your Baby Live With Your Cat For Awhile,During Way Earlier Videos!!!If She Did,It Wasn't Your Or Her Fault!!!Doesn't Instinct Sometimes Take Over Training???I Like Your Move,And I Bet They Do Too!!!*oh...by the way, them hens need a rooster 🐓😜*Good Luck With Your Ranch Life💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾#HuskyLife 🐺🐺🐺
Maybe the dogs got used to the chicken after the dog killed the two chickens and now the dog is protecting the chickens from the cat and other stray animals
Na as you already said it looked as though it's been dead for hours and if that was the case your dog wouldn't of been scratched so I think she's chased something else that was probably eating the poor cat and for your fur baby she should be OK as long as she wasn't biten because then I would be concerned of rabies but scratches she should be OK 🥲
I'm only concerned about Hila. Fk that cat. Cats are over populated and gross. They carry diseases that can make a entire yard infected with parvo. Hila is a husky. She did her job. Good for her.
My 4 1/2-year-old female husky is curious about cats, has shown friendliness as she is a greeter and is non-aggressive.
Damn was subscribed to you guys since 30k haven't watched in a while but the growth you've guys have had is crazy keep up the good work 😁😁
Been super busy and haven't watched regularly. So proud of your success and I love your new ranch and property!
It's important that you talk about that stuff. It's something we don't want to talk about but of course can happen.
It happens.

It’s crazy the lengths they will go to over BUGS. 🤣 of course they like birds, bunnies and all those things too but we see a lot more bugs outside. It can be annoying when my pup wants to stop every couple of feet to pounce on whatever bug he’s found
Yeah I had to drop a stray husky for murdering my chickens, it's legal where I'm at to protect your livestock
My Huskies are murder machines. We live in the country. They run free. They bring us dead rabbits and squirrels all the time. It's natural.
Awesome!!! 😂 Thank you so so much for being honest and not emotional. My husky chases squirrels every time we go out, it's like they're always new to him.
Thanks for watching! 😊
@@SixtyFormula your profile picture is nice
You take wonderful care of your doggies. Huskies are not easy dogs. Many breeds of dogs have a strong prey drive. I have a Klee Kai, the personality is Husky. Thank you for your great videos. Your ranch is gorgeous!
Thank you kindly, Nicole! ☺️
Really random question but what happened to the window AC? It’s in some clips but not others. I assume they were filmed on different days.
Also is it for your computer/networking room or something because I noticed you have central air.
Pardon me for asking I just notice these things because I’m an HVAC and Refrigeration tech.
Great video Sixty! Hope Hila will be better🙏🏻❤️
Sasha is a 2 year old Siberian Huskeroni. I have a little red tabby cat. How do I get Sasha to NOT be hateful / aggressive to my Cinnomon kitty?
I actually think the opposite with my Husky. He's a complete angel inside, like yours...but the inside is MINE...I'm the alpha indoors. When he's outside, that's HIS yard, and he protects it at all costs....he's ended a few moles, a rabbit, a juvenile raccoon, and a few mice....he barks at deer, delivery drivers, people walking down the street...indoors, not a peep.
Time to put a go-pro on Hila.
1:12 omg you use the music clip that is the same as Trogly's Guitar Show (opening)! ha
I feel you. My Huskies have gotten a couple strays in our back yard.
How are the cats?
@@smilesandthetwistedmd7608 This is such a messed up thing to say. You’re happy a dog killed someone’s cat? Anyone would feel bad about the fact.
Wow! Hila didn't do it!😂 Gonna be tough but knowing you, 60, you can do it. Your property is gorgeous! You chicken have really grown. Take care and I love these videos❤👋
Thanks! 😊
She did, and she's a good dog for it as stray cats can make a whole yard a death bed with the bacteria and disease they spread. Plus it's doggy instinct, especially huskies. Good Hila!

" my huskys might have killed a cat" (happy music plays)
I have a Malinois who is very protective of the yard. He has killed some small animals before. Reprimand him but we have resorted to ensuring that any animals in the yard is out of the yard before he is let out to run.
*What a beautiful property for the beautiful Husky babies! Er live on half acre in California, but we are looking to relocate to the Deep south in the next year to get a bigger property and house for less $$$*
CUTE huskies ❤❤❤❤❤❤ happy momment 😀😀😀😀👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 , bye bye yorkie friend au au 🥰🥰🐶🐶🐶
Thank you 😊
I love your videos They're very helpful thank you and keep up the good work.
My first husky killed 3 birds 2 snakes and about 9 cats. But in her defense that's just the prey drive in a husky. She was the sweetest girl. It's just a shame she had gotten brain cancer at 7 years old.
W
Love your dogs and your chickie family! 🧡🧡🥰😘🐾🐾
man......... seeing that you even had chickens on the property........ idk how to feel with the move overseas. even if you keep the property, unless someone is living there, it's like you have to dismantle stuff. :/ and just after getting such a HUUUUUUGE property for the doggos to jet around on. (i mean, i'm not underselling snow and them being able to play in their natural range, but still. also, fl, ugh. heat. i had to leave because of it.)
anyway............. i only just recently saw your vid about moving. hope it all works out well. but super hope you could find some land to be on. 3 huskos in a small space.... seems like a lot. and tough for them, maybe. who knows. anywho best of luck sixty!
- 5 acres ? not enough ? u must be a hick
Mine killed a rabbit last week:( It was also my female. She is the sweetest dog but when she sees a small animal she instantly transforms.
I also happen to have a female who killed a rabbit last month. Huskey's just happen to have instincts implanted in them.
Same for my Husky I have to keep her in a kennel we aren’t home otherwise without supervision I’m sure she will kill the cats
My husky took a year or two to stop but she did. Now I trust her alone at home with the cat, nothing will happen except maybe some cat poop eaten from the litter box.
@@anneonnamouse5496was this through training?
What a beautiful block of land you have mate so jealous
I have a husky and brazilian mastiff. One time there was a cat on our land and the entire thing happened so fast like it was insane. My husky started to chase the cat and he actually chased towards the mastiff who just waited. When the cat was close, mastiff killed it with a single bite. Grabbed it and broke its spine. Now I just try to scare away any cats that do get over our fence, but there is not much you can do. Sad when it happens.
Great information! Thank you
Ohh man I miss roo 😔
Thanks!
When i had my Eurasier , he killed a cat once while we were on a walk in the wild :/
And once a bird.
( this time i was so scared out , fortunately he stopped this and returned ^^ )
Another time he was going nuts because of a chicken who "invited himself" in my property, i needed to calm him dawn as he was completely out of control , didn't know what was going on in his head at this time , but it was scary; fortunately my voice achieved to calm him down and he behaved like he was not knowing what he was doing, just like a sudden act of crazyness ! ^^
my husky lived with a cat for years and whenever she sees a cat that she doesn't know she tries to chase it, and if she is off leash or the cat comes into our yard she will kill it if she can.
Fun fact-This is 12 mins video

Interesting cat story! How do they not try to dig under your wires fence or jump it to escape?
So I recently got a husky puppy and I have a dachshund. The puppy triesto nip at my family’s dachshund but they do get along. I’m not sure if my husky will be a problem to my dachshund in the future because of their high prey drive. If they get to know eachother could the husky still potentially harm the dachshund?
If you have it from a puppy and you raise it with the dachshund, then with proper training it'll never see that dog as prey.
People forget how massive a Husky’s prey drive is. My Husky tries to hunt everything. My staffy could care less lol.
Mines killed 2 moles and a field mouse, he does like to try to play with my cats even though they want nothing to do with him
My female husky got a hold of a groundhog in our backyard.
Pour lime over the body when burying the critters. Nothing will dig it up. We used to have 8 acres growing up, and my Dad found that worked best.
My husky jumped a killed a pigeon mid flight. She wants more now
You said there were flies around? I feel like it's more likely she got into a fight with a different animal. Perhaps one that came around because of the dead cat or maybe the other animal was bringing around the cats carcass and dropped it on your land after fighting hela
Huskies have a high small-prey drive. Sad but true.
Huskies are very popular for being in animal shelters because huskies are a lot of hard work to handle which is why if you think of getting a husky you need to expect high energy, aggression, and destruction, but that's why it's important to train a husky very good huskies are usually aggressive they're usually just relaxed and they are very friendly most of the time but it depends on the person you are, the people you live with
Anything that gets I'm my back yard with my Siberian Huskies will likely get killed and even eaten .
I remember when I thought my husky killed a cat…but after a close look that cat was already dead and old looking, SO 🤮
Hi I’m new memebers and an subscriber I enjoy your videos they make my day but I would ask an question how do you like make them know the place bec I use to have 2 German shepherds dogs an girl and dog
My 2.5 year old chases down full-grown rabbit and killed it. All caught on surveillance cameras. Getting his "trophy" was the biggest problem.
I know how hard it is to have dogs and farm animals. I have a couple of great Pyrenees 2 pigs and 2 goats. Was a bit of aggressiveness at introduction but they warmed up to them
Those dogs are beautiful! My uncle has one!
@@SixtyFormula Well if I had a choice I would have a couple of Huskies like you
That's Sad.
My Kurama is a garter snake serial killer
My husky has caught 4 cats in the last year. All while I'm walking him on leash, he pulls them out of thin air.. it's insane.. yesterday I was getting tires put on my truck at Walmart. I had ghost with me and was walking him past some shipping containers and a cat stuck his head out from the bottom of one and boom, he snatched it and rag dolled it back and forth while it was trying to slice his face off. It's so hard to get them out of his mouth.. 4 times now.. never been off leash.. and still catches cats
I’m planning on getting a husky but I want a golden retriever because like they say husky is bad for parents that have kids

What music did you use in the background 5:48
I don’t think hilla killed the cat if she’s friends with roo I beliefe there was another animal maybe coyote involved 😢poor kitty
You don’t have Roo anymore? 😢
