Went to drive home last night ( Christmas eve of all days) and went to clear my passenger window and my door ate my window. Thanks to this video I at least have it up now and hopefully in a couple days I'll have a new regulator put in, thank you!
Just had a window regulator ( wire rope ) fail today on my sons 66 plt corsa Sri and came across this video 👌👍 great help I managed to get window out and wedged in for now and I’ll look at replacing regulator later now I’ve seen this video great stuff 💪
Thanks for very informative vid. I need to access the door lock mechanism and was wondering how to remove the door card , you've shown me how it's done, cheers mate
hi mate iv had to have a new window as mine shattered and i’m trying to connect it up with a new regulator but my new window doesn’t have anything attached to the bottom of it to attach to the regulator
Great tutorial - I'm hoping that this saves me a few quid! One question though, the rivets that you had to drill out - what did you actually replace those with?
Thanks, it makes sense now. Any ideas of approximate length and diameter of the bolts from memory? I'm sourcing a second hand unit off eBay that will likely not include any fixings.
First I was wondering why u had 2 window switches on the passenger side of the car but then I see the steering wheel is on the wrong side!? Weird man. I just like seeing all these different types of cars. Kinda looks like the crap GM's I work on. Pretty similar. Did I hear you call it a door card?
South Main Auto Repair 😂 The steering is on the right cause it's the'Right' way to have it.. as you've taken it there, it's 'Petrol' not 'Gas' 😊 You're right though, GM is the same over here wether it's Vauxhall or Opel. The only thing we don't have the pleasure of over here is Dorman! Yes I did say door card..
Great video. If the window won’t come down, do you just drill out the rivets and lower it manually to access the torx screws to separate the glass from the channel?
Great Video but Vauxhall don't make thing easy. The latch cable hook end is straightforward enough but the end that fits the latch on the outside edge is a pig, How do you get it off so as to replace the cable with good ends?
Fantastic demonstration. I've been waiting for something like this for ages now! I have a 3-door Corsa d and every time I go over a hump, something in my doors rattles. Could this be the window regulator? I have a feeling a cable might just be hitting the inside of the door, because the windows work perfectly fine, but I can't find anyone else to give me an idea!
Someone drilled 2 of the 3 rivets out and left the 3rd one when removing the motor. How do i re revit? If i drill 3rd one off do i have to drill the 3 holes in the motor to clear them for new rivits??
Hello, dunno if you can help me but I have a Vauxhall Corsa 2012 and my window clucks when I open it but only once then when it starts from the bottom as well, I thought it might be off the runner because it was nothing like the sound to this video, any ideas?
I have a issue where my window keeps wanting to travel upwards when its closed, only seems to do it when heater is over 2 on blower settings ? Any ideas? Great vids your doing.
One Auto, Thankyou for the reply, ill let you know what the fault is when i find it! I also have a problem where my fuel cap lock (central locking) stopped working, had to pull the cable from inside the boot, any idea if this is a easy fix?
Krillekris Yes the very best of luck with that sir. I hope you've got plenty of patience. I tried a cable kit on a Megane Cabrio rear glass once.. Never again it took about 2 hours to get the cable in.. never again :)

Thank you from France !
It goes with a Corsa D - 3 doors.
The guide rail is in two parts but the operation is nearly the same.

THANK YOU Rob for this video - extremely helpful. Due to your very easy to follow guide, I did it with my 10 year old son!
Thanx again
mines gone the same as this one , now i can do my corsa d window thanks for your video
Awesome video now i know how to take the door panel off
Thanks for very informative vid. I need to access the door lock mechanism and was wondering how to remove the door card , you've shown me how it's done, cheers mate
luckyeddie Glad to be of assistance
Great job, you are very good at explaining/showing things :-)

The new regulator comes with captive nuts (attached) and bolts. The bolts go through the holes where the rivets were.
Thanks, it makes sense now. Any ideas of approximate length and diameter of the bolts from memory? I'm sourcing a second hand unit off eBay that will likely not include any fixings.
They came with the kit so I can’t remember.
No probs, thanks for your help.
Thank you, great from Nederland
thank you very informative great video 👍

One Auto, no but we have many other craptastic components from Eurocarparts instead haha. most of it is cheese grade pure chinesium.
Hi I have a vauxhall corsa 2010 and my wing mirrors need to be tighten , could you show me how to do it
The old unit was riveted in but I didn't see you rivet the new one back in, did I miss something ?
The new one came with studs and nuts 20:07
hi great video
do have a video for the back side window?
Thanks
Great video. If the window won’t come down, do you just drill out the rivets and lower it manually to access the torx screws to separate the glass from the channel?
Never had to do it but that could work
Are you able to tel me where you got the new part from please? I found a website with the part but there was no option to buy it🤔
Think it was GSF car parts or Euro car parts

nice job keep them videos coming cheers
Thanks, will do!
hi, i need that silver plate that fixes onto the motor so i can get bolts on rather than riveting. cant find one anywhere??
I only need to replace the interior door handle, do I still have to remove the door card ?
Cheers for the video.
+Twisted Stone I think yes, so that you can unclip and disconnect the cable from the handle easier. Thanks for watching.

TeenAviator It could be the regulator loose. Now you can get that door card off and take a look inside. Thanks for watching.
Hey buddy I know this is an old video but do you still do these? Mine's the same cable just snapped

Where did you get the AutoLift part from? I've found it on their website but there's no option to purchase and I can't find them anywhere on google
GSFcarparts.com
Cool fix nice one
Hello, it was a good video. Thanks for Shareing
Thanks for the great video! I'm just wondering, did you remember to pick up all the bits and pieces that fell in the door from the old regulator?
Err yep 👍
Hello, dunno if you can help me but I have a Vauxhall Corsa 2012 and my window clucks when I open it but only once then when it starts from the bottom as well, I thought it might be off the runner because it was nothing like the sound to this video, any ideas?
George Hatswell Maybe one of the fixings is loose. You’ll have to remove the door card and try it when you can see things
I have a issue where my window keeps wanting to travel upwards when its closed, only seems to do it when heater is over 2 on blower settings ? Any ideas? Great vids your doing.
Bobby-NoMates Wow that’s an interesting one. Never came across that one. Would need checking through with wiring diagrams etc.
One Auto, Thankyou for the reply, ill let you know what the fault is when i find it! I also have a problem where my fuel cap lock (central locking) stopped working, had to pull the cable from inside the boot, any idea if this is a easy fix?
Maybe.. Think you have to remove the inner wheel arch liner to get to the lock solenoid (or remove the solenoid so it doesn't lock)
Alright mate I've gotta change a Corsa E one, will a Corsda D one be the same, seen a used 1 for 45quid
I don’t know but I doubt it
Window got smashed gonna replace window wondering do you have to take out regulator
No
My corsa has a broken inner door handle should i remove the door cover to replace it?
4damage Yes sir
Ive done it thanks for your help
You're welcome
thanks was a grate help
I gonna do the same thing on my Peugeot 407. Only I bought a cable kit, so I gonna change the cable :-) Wish me luck.
Krillekris Yes the very best of luck with that sir. I hope you've got plenty of patience. I tried a cable kit on a Megane Cabrio rear glass once.. Never again it took about 2 hours to get the cable in.. never again :)
7:20 There's your problem lady!!
looks like fun...also get to buy a rivet gun
looked like a pig of a job to get out.
They're not too bad to do really
