Thanks. Cannot afford one now, and wanted to know what this truck was about - without all the bias one way or the other. Excellent review! That was fast startup for a truck!
It tows great, which means it pulls and handles a large trailer behind it fantastically, but the mirrors suck for towing. They’re separate from each other and one doesn’t affect the other. In totality the CT is an amazing tow vehicle
Great honest review of your Cybertruck experience. Hopefully the negative reactions are short-lived once more start hitting the road! Thanks for sharing.
I'm very skeptical of getting this truck due to it being a first gen vehicle. I'll wait happily for a huge refinement in the biggest issues. Still cool but trucks are suppose to be all round utility vehicles so the fact the cubertruck is missing small things with issues is just stuff they got to work out over time.
Great points! Hope Tesla will include these updates/changes. As for the powered tailgate. They could use the same electric actuators from the fronk in the rear.
Thank you for watching and commenting. I don’t understand why some simple features are missing. Most will get fixed via OTA updates but some hardware misses will have to wait for 3rd parties or 2nd gen CT 😞
Maybe the whole point of missing features is to have a 2nd and 3d gen. Why no garage openers on a $100,000 truck when Homelink worked great and not everyone wants myQ. Then where’s the built in trunk ramp? Why is the bed so narrow. Why only 5 seats when it’s so easy to make the front seats a bench?
so basically, designed well physically but software problems. Needs spare tire under rear, not sure why frunk isnt bigger but otherwise besides the price, not bad.
Haven't heard if it has camp mode 🤔 That would be something i would love in a vehicle like this. Even better if it allowed space to open into the front of it from the back bed.
Dont really get the mirror thing. I drive a van, which is just as big and I cant even see out of rear back windows, just use side mirrors with no issues. Dont even have a camera.
I get your point but when you’re spending $100k for a vehicle you’d expect certain things. Especially when you see cars with a lower price tag have these features
I keep air compressors in all my vehicles so I don't see not having a built in one a problem. It's probably better because it's one less thing to break down.
Totally I always have an air compressor with me but when buying a $100k truck I don't see why they didn't add one. Especially when your competition has it
@@Butter_EV there seems to be a compressor onboard for the suspension system. Is the answer money? Ate they being cheap about it? It's definitely not outside of their scope of innovation. It's simply bothersome they didn't add it or make it an option.
How did you get Disney + on your screen? Mine doesn’t have it. Mine says software is up to date but I don’t have the auto wiper yet so a bit confused as I thought that was available.
I agree about the price, it’s up there alright however the early adopters pay the premium for being first to own and drive. If it were me, I’d use the truck for promotions and events and claw back some of the price premium before the novelty wears off. In time Cybertruck will be as common as an iPhone, back in 2007 when the iPhone was launched the only people I knew who could afford to own one were Dr’s & businessmen. That’s why I haven’t pulled the trigger yet, I wonder if yellow would look good. In my mind it does but I’m hesitant. I think I might just need to do it 🤷🏻♂️ Thanks for the kind words 🙏🏼
Thanks. Cannot afford one now, and wanted to know what this truck was about - without all the bias one way or the other. Excellent review! That was fast startup for a truck!
Glad you enjoyed the video 🙏🏼
I wonder what features they are going to remove from the 2025 model. The price is set at 61k and that’s the one I preordered
Great question, I think less range is a given. Probably less payload and towing capacity. Maybe no air suspension?
There are 2 scratches on the right side door, who did that??
👀
I'm taking delivery of Foundation Series Cyberbeast in a few weeks. Cant wait!
That's awesome. Congratulations and enjoy!!
@@Butter_EV Thank you. Looking forward to making some content with it, so maybe see you out on the road.
Are you in SoCal? If so I’d love to do some videos with you
@@Butter_EV Yep I'm in SoCal. Sounds good!
Awesome, let’s stay in touch
You think FSD is ever going to be fully deployed?
At some point yes. When is the real question.
Yeah... I so hate to have turn the steering wheel...
You need to try steer by wire. It’s a game changer
I Guarantee you that Sideswipe was Intentional. Jealousy will make people do strange things.
I wouldn't be surprised
Towing is an A+......side view mirrors are a no go for towing. Which one is it bro? :)
It tows great, which means it pulls and handles a large trailer behind it fantastically, but the mirrors suck for towing. They’re separate from each other and one doesn’t affect the other. In totality the CT is an amazing tow vehicle
Thanks for the honest take on the z CyberTruck 😊
Glad you enjoyed the video 🙏🏼
Great honest review of your Cybertruck experience. Hopefully the negative reactions are short-lived once more start hitting the road! Thanks for sharing.
I am sure it won't last forever but if it does oh well. I am enjoying my truck
Just test drove today. Best review. Thanks so much.
Glad you liked it! 🙏🏻
How much are you paying per month on insurance?
$217
Damn! That's not bad at all! @@Butter_EV
State Farm want triple that 😬
@@Butter_EV would the Rivian R1t be the same or lower? Also what insurance company do you have
Not sure about the R1T. My insurance is Tesla Insurance
Fantastic video! Very information, thanks Tony!
Who’s Tony? 🤣
@@Butter_EV , Eric!
You confused me when you said "no for Tony" in the video, WHO IS TONY!?
When did I say that? 😂🤣
@@Butter_EV now you're going to make me watch the whole video again... one moment :P
Waiting is not the worst idea tbh. The truck is great already but it will get much better in time
Great points!
Why only 5 seats when it’s so easy to make the front seats a bench?
how about no gas required
True
so basically, designed well physically but software problems. Needs spare tire under rear, not sure why frunk isnt bigger but otherwise besides the price, not bad.
Hardware is great and software needs fine tuning but luckily that’s mostly an easy fix via OTA updates
Haven't heard if it has camp mode 🤔 That would be something i would love in a vehicle like this. Even better if it allowed space to open into the front of it from the back bed.
They have released Tent Mode since I filmed this video but I do wish that the back window would lower 🤷🏻♂️
@Butter_EV yeah that would be fantastic. It's a no brainer , camp mode was one of the big draw cards for me when buying the model 3 😁
Appreciate the honesty. You are right should be about $70k.
Don’t get me wrong I love the truck but I do think that $70k would be the sweet spot
Or 50k only has an IPad inside
@Butter_EV the profit margin is huge like I say is 40k to 50
Dont really get the mirror thing. I drive a van, which is just as big and I cant even see out of rear back windows, just use side mirrors with no issues. Dont even have a camera.
I get your point but when you’re spending $100k for a vehicle you’d expect certain things. Especially when you see cars with a lower price tag have these features
I see one driving around Reno Nevada in recent months. I didn't know what it was until now.
I need to come to Tahoe/Reno soon
You took the bait and switch, still no fsd , light bar , compressor.
I I’m not worried because eventually I’ll get a cybertrunk around 3 years and will most likely be improved from now.
There will definitely be improvements in 3yrs
I haven't heard anyone say they dislike the fact that it doesn't come with a spare tire.
Yeah I think I should've mentioned that but I think because I don't do much off-roading it just slipped my mind
Dont pop tires on a steep shoulder by accident, spares are for more than rock crawling.
…because Kim Kardasian has my CT!
You haven't watched enough CT review videos then.
Will you consider selling the Cybertruck after a year?
I don't think so but you can never say never
3:40 ???? we can all see the visibility sucks. Those pillars are MASSIVE
I haven’t had any issues with them after approximately 5,000 miles 🤷🏻♂️
@@Butter_EV you say that as if it's a contradiction but it's not.
They should give you a parascope like they did for the early Lamborghini 's
Is it 4x4
Yes it is. Also they just released a new update yesterday which gives it many more off road features
Great list. Congrats. Ticks a lot of SUV and truck things. Great wrap.
Thank you. When in the cab it really feels like an SUV but obviously has a bed
I’m just waiting for the foundation series to end so I can purchase the cyber truck at a lower price
I think a lot of people are in the same boat as you
What would make this awesome is if the roof were solar panels. I just ordered my Cyber Beast…..Hoping it can handle Chicago winters 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
I think they should’ve put solar on the tonneau
How did you get Disney + on your screen? Mine doesn’t have it. Mine says software is up to date but I don’t have the auto wiper yet so a bit confused as I thought that was available.
So there’s a trick. Go to your browser in the front screen and go to disneyplus.com, login and it should appear in your apps 😉
Just saw the best name EVER for a cybertruck.... Behold the Wankpanzer.
🤣😂🤣
That tiny little rearview screen would drive me nuts. Not safe at all.
I really dislike that they didn’t just put a screen in place of the rear view mirror like other cars
Fast forward til now and kids in elementary school all have iPhones.
You are 💯 correct. The pricing on the CT will come down and I wouldn’t be surprised if they made a Tacoma sized version as well
@@Butter_EV A smaller CT would be really good for South America, Africa and Europe. Areas where full sized pickups are rare.
Great video. Bulletproof and indestructible body should be in the plus list. Hail proof body and glass. Better noise reduction. So many more should be mentioned
Thank you! I definitely could’ve mentioned those details
Homelink auto open/close is one of my favorite things about the Tesla; I wonder why they no longer offer this ??? Cost saving ?? Is Elon going backward?
I truly have no idea. It cannot cost that much for it to be a cost savings move. I’m really confused about they’re decision to leave it out
Expect a big class action suite against Tesla on the eventual non-deployment/cancelation of FSD. It has been many years of waiting for Tesla to figure out their FSD once and for all, but it does not look like they are making any progress on it......
They actually recently released the "supervised" version of FSD. I actually did a video on it
I like your style of content! Straight to the point.
I am happy that you enjoyed the video 🙏🏼
Need lumber rack for 16' long wood and rebars. Really like the truck but don't need all the attention.
That would be a nice accessory. I agree with your attention comment but I will say it is calming down
The FSD is only $8000 now on a regular cybertruck order
Yes it is 🤦🏻♂️
Direct. Straight to the point. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it 🙏🏼
Thanks for over paying and getting all the quirks worked out before we purchased the same vehicle for 70,000.
That’s what I’m here for 🤣
