- How to Make a Private Tutoring Agreement / Service Contract | Responsibilities of the Student and the Teacher
Private Tutoring can be a challenging job if the teacher was unable to set the proper expectation to the student. This can lead to a chain of concerns and conflicts that would surely affect your teacher-student relationship…worse, it can affect your salary and income potential.
It is of utmost importance to ensure that before you have your very first official private class, both parties (you and your student) have already agreed with the stipulations / conditions on the private tutoring contract.

Hello Teacher Karen. Thank you very much for your videos. They're very informative and encouraging. I have a few questions. Have you experienced power interruptions/internet problems before and/or during your private tutoring? How did you manage this? Was the class unpaid/refunded? Or what else did you do? I hope you would be able to respond. Thank you.
In times of power outages, you can just cancel you classes, you will get a reasonable penalty like 35% of your class fee. That's better than being absent which is 100% deduction of your class fee. Another option (which I also do), is to use a power generator to continue using power-operated devices.

Hey Teacher Karen 💖, have you ever had issues with being disconnected when going on standby, if so what did you do to fix it?
Yes, it sometimes happen and I believe that based on what happened to me, it's like a system glitch, so we basically can't do anything about it LOL. Just make sure your internet connection is stable and if you can always secure a screenshot or a screen recording of the issue so that you have proof just in case you want the penalty to be removed.

May green screen din sa Native Camp per depende yung linaw sa linaw ng camera mo. Naka green screen ako paminsan then ang camera ko ay yung HD camera na built in ng Macbook ko :)
Hi teacher Karen, been following your videos since I started teaching. I just wanna ask in your own perspective sa private class, what if nag absent si student or he forgot the class time and you've been waiting in the classroom and withall contacting the parent na may class but there's no reaponse, do you need to have a make up class for that class? Or that class is paid na automatically?
You should indicate on your contract that cancellations made less than 24hours before class time is considered paid class.

It's just a different teacher approach in native camp, you will still be a teacher but you will mostly cater to Japanese students using this teaching style.

You just have to sign up using your mobile number, that's it. But if it's wechat pay/wallet, that's a different story

Best to have connections via Wechat, Line and Linkdin. :) You also get to have more students over time..the more students you teach the easier it is for them to spread the word.
