    I didn't think the baking soda test would work on black bakelite? Meaning the q-tip won't turn yellow even if it is? I think 409 will give a false negative on black bakelite too.

      True, but it depends! I have a black bake light phone and a dress clip and it worked perfectly! In addition, the other cream works for that as well! The burn test isn’t worth it bc it devalues the piece! For me, this is an easy safe non toxic way to test.

      It sure looks like it doesn’t it . But it is resin in relief. Or faux cinnabar. It does not have the layers. Or the texture. Good eye though 👍🏼👍🏼⭐️⭐️

    How would you tell difference of faturan from Bakelite?

      That is a great question! From my research Faturan does not come back as Bakelite with the backing soda test. However, it will glow under black light like amber does. I own some later made. This is a great topic for a video! Because there is so much confusion about dates and the chemical make up of Faturan !
