They had hay bales and chairs to sit on. All of the girls in their pretty dresses were hoping for opportunities of stardom. Jimmy Day and Billy Byrd were two of the the best musicians. Ernest Tubb, Ray Price and Jim Reeves were three of the greatest country music stars, but there were many more great country music stars that can be seen in other videos including Marty Robbins, Webb Pierce, Faron Young, Kitty Wells, Patsy Cline, Hawkshaw Hawkins, Tommy Collins, Wynn Stewart and others!

I like Marty Robbins because of his magnificant voice, Ray Price also but Ernest Tubbs seems to me a bit different but I have watched a number of his songs and grown to really like him. Jim Reeves was always very famous as was Marty.
When you hear this, Jim's "people" told him by the early 60's to get more cosmoplitan and his records had more horns, kinda of like what they did with Patsy Cline. Sadly, they both died w/o hitting the super greatness they could have been. Just my observation.

This was a very good part and should not have been left out; there were some interesting comments made. To me, this is the finest collection ever filmed. First ever in color, and during the hey day of country music; the '50's. I would advise every true country music lover to get this set; but if you don't care for the '50's music, you won't like it.
