Pro Tools is up to date. If you're good you can use any DAW. I think every DAW has it's own workflow. Logic is the closest to Pro Tools workflow that you can get.

Idk if this has changed in recent years or not, but in the past, only Pro Tools was capable of mixing “in the box” in combination with external EQ’s, compressors, and effects.
I’m a sound engineer, of course I still use Audacity but I never let anybody know that. I’m a sound engineer, of course I use at least 2 daws but I’m not gonna tell you so.😂

In the early 1980s, in a studio with a huge console, I put up a sign that said: "No, it doesn't look like the flight deck of Concorde and yes, I know what every button does!" We've been saying it for that long....
If you ever wonder: these button's are not doing anything. They work like layers, where the first layer is on the left and every single one to the right is next layer that you can put over.
Everything was fine except the pt part… so many better avenues now. I’ve used pt since 888s and I also started with Nuendo 1.5… I’m only on Nuendo 13 now
My only issue is that if Pro Tools was definitively the superior recording DAW ever. They would of never had to switch to a Subscription based model to fix their profit margins heh
This is right on it with the exception of Protools.
all daws are the best
We had a feeling that one would strike a “chord” with a few audio engineers out there lol.
Let me guess....studio one or logic???
