    Thank you!!! You are the best!! I took my whole steering panel apart because I found a bolt on the floor by the gas pedal.. I still had to take it in because it was to my shifter and I couldn't reach it BUT the a$$ho wouldn't put it back together because I had taken it apart.. That was 2 years ago
    I just found your video and it took me all of 2 hours and it looks good as new ❤

    Thanks for the video, it helped me quickly do my speedometer swap. Extra special thanks for mentioning the size of the wrench to use, that's a nice touch.

    It takes minutes for a Silverado 1999-2006. This is unbelievable.

      Well, not really. BTW, the odometer wasn't working. I sprayed CRC electrical connector cleaner and reattached the cluster. It now works. I have saved $800 on two clusters because they just needed the connectors cleaned.

    Yikes, my 2004 XLT doesn't have the cluster surround attached to that next part to the right, so pulling the cluster is way quicker. Just pull the two screws in the top of the surround, drop the wheel all the way down, shift to 1st to give yourself room to slide the surround out, then pull the four screws that actually mount the cluster.

    Sure does make the old Mercedes and Audi cars look easy. Wedge fit where they just pull right out without removing anything. With the 2002 model the stock stereo head unit doesn't have enough room to get your fingers in there but a wide plastic pry tool gets it off no problem

    Would it be the same way for the 2004 explorer sport Trac xlt???

    Odd question here: If you remove this, and send it out for repair, is the truck driveable? Thanks in advance

    so if your gas gauge dont work and your Windows dont go down and the radio dont work could that b a cluster problem

    • @Coolvo113
      @Coolvo113  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Michelle Smith No I wouldn't think so because you could unhook the cluster and still have use of the windows. I would start checking your fuses and relays. Hope that helps bud

    Hey buddy I know it’s a bit old video. But is there a internal speaker( door ajar )behind it ?

    • @Coolvo113
      @Coolvo113  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Behind what exactly? The dash cluster?

    • @luisgregoryhinojosa
      @luisgregoryhinojosa 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Coolvo113 yes because I’m experiencing a buzzing ring similar to a door opening or pressing the buttons on the mid console. It goes on steadily at about 2000 rpm’s about 60 mph. Tried a new cluster to see if that helps. Still getting that beeping behind the cluster. Have no idea it is , maybe something electrical. It’s driving me crazy.

    Will a dash out of an 06 explorer fit an 2003

    • @Coolvo113
      @Coolvo113  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don’t believe so, I think the production line stopped in 2005, so 2003-2005 would work but I’m not 100% sure so I would check just to make sure.

    Does the vehicle need to be reprogrammed? A mechanic told me without the reprogramming the car won't start because of the anti theft system.

    • @Coolvo113
      @Coolvo113  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      The 4th Horseman It depends on what part you replace. If you just change out the instrument cluster you should be fine.

  • @jamisonfoster1873
    @jamisonfoster1873 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    So you did put a new cluster in and the key didn't need re programed or anything

    I search for how to remove the cluster for a 2002 thunderbird and a fucking explorer pops up! Totally worthless!
