The Equinox is a carryover model for 2020 however receives several changes to packaging including new standard safety tech features. These changes keep the Equinox competitive in the compact SUV market but is it enough?

Great job thoroughly and concisely reviewing the vehicle's layout, options, and features. My wife is getting a fleet version of this for work, the exact same LT also with only the Comfort and Convenience package, plus all-weather rubber floor mats and plus AWD, but different colors (black on black). This was very helpful in selecting between this vehicle and two other options -- she chose the Equinox LT AWD. I think she will love being able to access and store her work materials in the cargo area featuring power lift gate and hidden cubby (she often needs both hands to carry materials, and they tend to sit semi-permanently in the trunk area, so the additional space below is of particular use to her). Thanks for your efforts and thorough walk-through.

Bought in 2017 Chevy Colorado hate this car now give a Chevy another opportunity bought th equinox 2020 lt and let me say this car is awesome I am a man but I love this SUV my wife too. Recommend car for any families and price is so good.

I feel they could have done a better job with the exterior! It looks very Bland and not unlike any other SUV out there. Other than that it's probably a capable SUV. Good video man.

My wife and I test drived a 2020 Equinox and it rode like a dream. We also test drived 2 2018 Equinox and they rode hard. What made the difference between the two?
The wheels and tires make a big difference. If one had the 19" and others had the 17" or 18" then that alone would be a huge difference.
Is this equinox still burns oil?! Like the other models
I agree the exterior is a bit bland. However
I have no complaints about mine. I didn't want a shut off engine but I really don't notice it too much.. My husband didn't know about it and betted me money it didn't exist after he drove it.
I recently purchased a 2020 Equinox. I noticed today that under both of my front seats toward the back have a slit in the carpet. Does anybody know if this was normal??? Thanks

Navigate Android Auto? You can use the steering wheels controls to change favorite radio stations which should be able to be done while using android auto.
I've had a 2012 terrain and a 2016 equinox and now we are looking at a 2020 to trade the 2016 would that be good or not waste money on a 2020
I believe the newest generation Equinox is much better than the previous generations. There is a refresh coming out for 2021 so it may be worth waiting if you want the newest one.

You didn’t let us know if it had auto start and how it works
You said there was a lot of legroom in the rear. How far forward did you have the front seat? You didn't say. Put the front seat back as far as it will go then see how much leg room there is in the rear. Not all of us are as short as you. I'm 6' 6" tall. The front seat would be back as far as it can go.
Even with the seat all the way back there is plenty of room for most people. Only if someone who was nearly as tall as you sitting behind your seat might have issues. Most people are closer to my height than your height so I am sorry I cant help everyone.
I'm 6 4. And there is surprisingly a lot of room in the back seat. And that is me setting the seat in front then going to the back seat.
I bought one yesterday, granted I’m only 6’1” but I tried all seats and there is plenty of room

Above the on star button is a button on the left that looks like a door open and is lit on our vehicle. What is it for
That button allows you to turn on/off the interior lighting when a door is opened.
HOW DO WE USE NAVIGATION IN OUR 2020 EQUINOX LT?
If it was equipped with the onboard NAV then you click the icon. If not you can use it through Android Auto or Apple Carplay by plugging your phone in through the USB port.
1.5 l turbo you can get the fuck out with that v6 is lit I have a 06 Chevy equinox and has a v6 engine I love it
Why would you never fold the back seats down and show the full cargo space? The way the back seats lay down is important no?

I was thinking on getting a equinox later on in about 1 to 2 years i was wondering Does the equinox consume alot of oil and how much does a oil change cost on a equinox
We're getting ready to buy a 2020 Equinox, but we also have a 2012 (with 102k miles) that we're keeping because it's such an awesome vehicle!!! My hubby checks fluid levels between our synthetic oil changes (about $70) and he has never had to add oil. We finally decided to sell our 2000 Ford Taurus (160k miles and our service garage has a few people that want it)~ it was a no brainer what vehicle we'd buy next!!!
I am over 4k miles on the original factory oil and the oil life sensor estimates another 3k before needing a change. I have checked the oil levels periodically and have experienced no oil loss. The first oil change is free with a new purchase.
The only thing they sit so low. I have and old one. Mines sit higher than this
Odd this video has been out four years for a 2020 that isn't available until 9-12 months the year before.
Calendar year and model year typically do not correspond to when a vehicle may become available. I.e 2020MY can be available in the early 2019 calendar year.

Yes, but you have to turn it off every time you start the car.
Amazon has several low cost snap in units that work very well and easy install. Works great on our 2020.

The Equinox can be optioned in both FWD and AWD.

There is no option to turn that off.
@@miniskunk I watched the TH-cam video that the disabled auto start feature was located underneath the hood
Honestly, it has been a fairly inobtrusive feature when it engages because there is very little lag between startup and acceleration. It only seems to do it around traffic signals.

Get the leather seats 💺 if you plan on driving for long trips or if you drive for a living.
Kids will love you as well for the back seats if they are leather because those cloth seats only look good but are terrible and extremely uncomfortable.
All my life I always bought or leased a car with leather seats, one time I decided to go against my judgement and I definitely regret it because by going cheap and saving money it will cost more money in the long run and health issues like Hemorrhoid.
I tried everything from a seat cover to seat cushions and still extremely bad seats.
I’m a big guy at 260lb and 6’3” tall and sides were chocking my kidneys as well.
Do yourself a favor and get the leather heated seats 💺 as I did in my 2020 Chevy Equinox 2.0 LT and you will be extremely happy especially if you are a big person. 🥳👌👍😁😎
My kids love the back seats as well as the middle seat is actually comfortable now and it was non bearable in my 2019 cloth seat model which was the 1.5 LT version.
I would definitely go for the 2.0T version if you like Power at your command.
1.5T is still a good car and it will
Do everything you need to do, but the 2.0T is much more refined and quiet 🤫 engine compared to the 1.5 and has a sweet 9 speed smooth automated transmission compared to the 6 speed auto in the 1.5 which was okay 👌
If you are planning on getting one ☝️ I hope I helped to make a easier decision on your pick and I only got the 2.0T because you can Tow over 3000 pounds Vs 1500 pounds in the 1.5T.

But the 1.5T did me well with my small 14’ aluminum boat, and it gives me 3 MPG average better mileage, so I get 20 or 21 MPG in my 2.0T with my hot foot 🦶 Vs 23 - 25 MPG in my 1.5T.
Verdict:
I have both of them and I like the 2019 1.5T but I love the 2020 2.0T Chevy Equinox LT 🇺🇸💪😜🥳👌😁👍👍👍

@@Chevyboiz I had both and I was extremely satisfied with the 1.5T as well.
I had a small Lowe aluminum 14 foot boat roughly 1000 pounds with motor and electric trolling motor set up, and it did the job well.
But now I own a boat which is 3200 pounds not including all my fishing gear including someone else that may be with me, also weigh of two big ice chest full of ice, food and water, 3 batteries group 31 for a 112lb Minn kota terrova.
My 2.0 turbo able to tow max 3500 pounds and in most likely at that if not above.
Unfortunately I have the front wheel drive version only but since only my rear tires get into the water while I back the boat in to a ramp, I do just fine unless I accidentally flooded the boat full of water.
Luckily the boat had a automated as well as a manual pump so in case I do forget to put the plug before I drop the boat into the water, it just spits out the water from the drains.
I even got my car tuned for towing, gained some horsepower and torque which definitely made it much easier for the engine and transmission to handle such weight.
I drove 1580 miles from Texas to Woodland Hills California and didn’t have any issues pulling a single axle trailer with all that weight.
I believe my cars curb weight is approximately 3700 pounds and with the 9 speed automatic and now with more then 100 horsepower and torque it’s definitely much more capable then my 1.5T version.
However if someone is using it for Uber and doesn’t have the need to tow anything over 1500 pounds, definitely I would buy the 1.5T or the diesel 1.6T.🍻😎👍
The seat cloth looks pretty cheap.
Its not terrible but not the best. The seats overall seem comfortable.
