    I've been battling the stubborn honda surge issue at 1500rpm and its officially fixed! I took off my tps sensor in an attempt to calibrate it when it fell apart into peices. I installed the new tps with out even calibrating it I just clocked it until the surge went away.
    :Update:
    My walbro 450 fuel pump should be here today. Hopefully I can slap that sucker in and get it turned up. 15 psi on a stock d16 is around the corner.

    Did it go away when the car was warm mate?? Im having this problem, ordered new sensor as had it fixed, but soon as it was turned off and restarted warm it came back

      @@ArchangelMicheal-vk6jm think it has to be a problem with the p28 ecu , my tuner said this... told me to get the s300 hondata or the new hondata standalone ecu .. at 500 quid i will live with it lol

    Been driving my car like this for the last 3 months after I deleted my iacv and got my car tuned. I only had to readjust mine as opposed to replacing it, but it worked. Thanks a million bro!

    Hell yeah brother I hope that helps me out too because I was on my way back home and the car just cut out on me upon acceleration and then I had to keep barely giving it gas so I could drive home and it still won't let me go past like 3000 god of love Hondas 🤝🥳

    I have a similar problem: when the car comes to a stop, it reves to 1500 and back to +-800. Also when I turn around my steering wheel, it goes all the way to 1500 and back to stationary. Any ideas ?

    Idle surge means the tps is at the correct position but you have to fix the vacuum leak if you advance the tps to fix the idle surge the car will drink gas more than usual

    I have a gsr integra and sometimes it will buck so stupid. Like on first gear it’ll look like idk how to drive stick. And sometimes even while cruisin it’ll be cutting off power. I’ll give it gas and you can just hear the intake suckin and when I give it more gas it’ll go but sometimes keeps doing it. Then sometimes it drives super smooth. Wtf is my issue it’s so annoying. I checked the code today and it blinks 7 times Thts tps… do you guys think I need to adjust it or get a new one… I replaced that not too long ago but my guy probably put it on wrong idk. My buddy said it could be a bad temp sensor as well. It’s sooo annoying when it bucks like that tho

    Quick question man, i did that and i does not fluctuate when im reving it freeley, but when i drive it and when its under load the car starts bumping and gets stuck at 1500 rmp why is that? Also it starts rought, does not cold idle and wants to shut down( BTW IAT SENSOR IS NEW AND TPS SENSOR)

    I think I’m having this issue it mostly happens for me partial throttle around 2k -4K. B18c1 it started throwing a p0170 code at me and a evap code also. I’ve changed the grounding wires cleaned the contact points. Changes plugs and wires. Changed the o2 sensor. Going to buy the tps ASAP and fingers crossed it works. Also put a new IAC on it

    Use a dremel. I'm sure most know but that's what we've always done for years make a notch and use a flat head screw driver

    In my case sometimes when I let go the gas to change gears (mostly from fisrt to second) the rpms drop super fast to idle, so I have to tap the gas a little before engaging second gear. Changed the TPS already (because of other issue). Steel can't figure out what that is

      Check your high tension wires/coil harness. Try to replace them all with new one. And update me if there's a difference on it.

      Check your iacv or fitv, i had the same issue, i found that my iacv was disconnected, once connected the rpms didnt drop so fast and i was able to cruise in a lower gear without the car bucking

    I replaced the damn iacv so annoying 200$ part this is exactly my problem, I said to my mechanic it could be that sensor and I’d rather go w the cheap fix first smh

    What is the name of that sensor? Im having a similar issue after my timing belt broke going 10 mphs. Replaced all my belts, set timing, have taken apart the intake manifold cleaned it. Replaced the idle air control valve and map sensor all within a month. My car dies out going from park to drive.

    My 2000 civic, doesnt happen all the time but if i slowly accelerated it drops once i hit 2500rpm, like theres a gap there.. But if i gas it hard enough it goes right passed.

      Sounds similar to what this was doing. I remember it having the dead spot at 2500rpms that I was have to "gas through" or accelerate a little harder just to get past that bad spot

    I have a tps on my honda accord and when I'm driving at 35 or 40 mph (1500-1700 rpm) it starts to buck badly, I replaced the tps sensor and it still does it, does it just need some adjustment to the tps? or..........

      Recalibrate the tps to 7% , in my expierence it happens only on 5% throttle

    So I changed my IACV sensor , my TPS sensor, map sensor and IAT sensor even got a replacement oem Throttle body gasket !
    It fixed all my idle issues besides one thing. when I'm coming to a complete stop, my rpms will go down. but as its dropping down towards 1200-1300 rpm, it will stays there for like a second or two then it will drop back down like normal until I accelerate again and come to a complete stop again.

      @@blue_sprinkles1487 i removed the little breather intake filter i had on the motor added a vacuum hose that goes to the rail the connects to the idle air control valve into the intake and added a iat sensor but the light still on for the iat sensor but i adjusted the idle screw abit and my tps i made sure it was at the right voltage shes been running good so far

    Your supposed to set the TPS to 0.5v at fully closed(no cable resistance) and 5v at fully open. If you cant get those values or theres dead spots as you open the tps then you have a faulty tps and should be replaced. And 450lph is waaaaaaaaaaaaay too much for a stock d series lol your stock pump is fine, install a fuel pressure regulator, fuel pressure gauge and bump it up a little and it well fuel more but honestly without a tune( chipped/socketed ecu) all the mods are pointless as the ecu always tries to keep stock values.

    I know this post is old but i got a civic ex d16a and im having the exact same issue change the tps and and calibrated to the specs honda gives u still get it did u get a check engine code p0505 idle air control disconnect the battery goes away but comes back later any Knowledge of this will be grateful thanks

      Yes i fix it already i just replace the fuel filter and the fuel pump now it works fine

      John Anana having a similar issue, but between 1500-2500 rpms it hesitates. When I give it more gas it accelerates but it’s only between those measures. Was your issue the same?

      @@joea6326 yes when i press the pedal to 1500rpm up? it sputter and hesitate to reach 2000 to 3000rpm their are different issues you have to check the HTW, sparkplug,and fuel filter the last thing that i had suspected is the fuel pump thats why when i replace it runs fine..

    I have the most bizarre 94 Civic Si hatchback. It has a B20Z. Sometimes while driving, it’ll hesitate to respond to the throttle and then buck/sputter for just a few seconds, then the Check Engine light will come on. Once the engine goes back to idle, it’ll bounce between 500 and 1000 rpm over and over. I can shut the engine off, turn it back on and it goes back to running normal again. No light, no surging, no revving at idle. Just very odd. One time I actually turned the key all the way off and the engine kept running. Figure that one out. Sometimes the ignition won’t turn like it’s locked in place. I can pull the E brake up one click and the ignition turns again. Talk about wtf. I love my car but she’s a psycho. Lol

    I don't know if my problem is the same but as I am accelerating under 2k it surges in and out but as soon as I reach 2k it's fine. I'll have to look into your fix.

      Yes! I’ve had the same annoying issue! Bucks and surges at ONLY partial throttle... but completely fine when floored. WOT is the only way to drive the car when it’s warm. Once car warms up to temp.. the problem gets bad.

      caslone88 holy crap.. the Honda problem NO ONE can find! SUCKS! It’s been a year for me. When on long trips it’s awesome cause I’m full throttle lol. Wish I could take it to Eric the car guy for real. I know it’s just one small plastic part or a ground causing this. Gonna change my fuel pump and my iacv .. to oem Honda. then probably ecu. Cause she still has great compression and just did timing belt year ago

    when u were having this problem, would it get stuck at a certain rpm and not got past?

      He wont reply but aye, it will be ignition cutting at 1500 rpm at 5-15% throttle
      Hts tuning suite is meant to fiz this probably as it has a better command to the tps supposingly
