@@garrington120 you say I know nothing... then go right on to say and confirm exactly what I just said... And i don't know what magical version you have but the stated MPG of a cx-3 (that aren't made anymore) is 25 city and 31 highway... the mazda 3 SEDAN, which is not a cx, can see a 40mpg. But that's like the 2015 version. The newest model gets 26 and 35 ,
your math is also not very good. 16.3km is 10.12 miles and 1 liter equals about 3.8 gallons so that equals about 38.5 miles per gallon, not 45... and again even that is no where close to the listed spec mpg for that car. Again maybe the sedan is closer, but that's a Mazda 3 not a cx 3

You're right about most having CVTs and I'm not saying you're wrong about CVTs reliability entirely but CVTs have progressed and aren't nearly as problematic as they were early in their lives. Don't forget, there's been plenty of standard transmissions that have been a nightmare too.

And what about Mazda? This video sounded like an infomercial for Toyota products and, as far as the Forrester, my direct experience was the sudden death of that engine in the one of a close friend of mine at only 70,000 miles and the total disinterest of Subaru's customer service in that issue. That car was regularly serviced with oil changes and so on. No US made cars???
