I remember the old days of grinding in Ketra Orc barracks with 6 other clan members for about 5-6 hours for maybe 8% of a level. I kinda wish Lineage 2 would remove levels from the game or do a level squish. Level 1-85 took me close to 5 years to achieve. I was one of the first lvl 80s on my server Kain when it was announced.
It's definitely not the same when i started playing back in prelude. The grind of today compared to years ago is like telling stories. Mass pvp, 100+ ppl non siege days long gone

I honestly watched 30 min of this video, but couldn't finish the rest. I was introduced to Lineage 2 by my dad at the age of 5. I didn't know back then what "grind" is and couldn't compare it to any other game (the only games I played before l2 were Barbie ones and GTA Vice City lol). But I just had fun. I grew up with l2 since C1. It was the game where community built itself. Fanmade events, pvp at the gates of Gludio, then Dion and then Giran. Now that old l2 seems boring af for me, but, tbh, the fun of this game was not in gameplay, but in ppl that played with you. I miss that atmosphere, tho I don't miss all the grind xd This video made me sad :(
Yes the people. When I was able to Play again 2012 ( no game play from 2008-2012) very little. after my final tour of duty in NAVY< the game was extremely different, changes they tried to prevent sales of accounts, sharing etc.. almost made me loose all mine, i literally had weeks to figure this all about change them over to Individual Emails, then the "Spammers" truly ruined it, which the dumbest fix they made was to have no chat till 85 so you had no way to talk, make friends ask question. So stupid. So Yes Meeting People was the best thing in the game is what I liked. Still miss. Too many idiots think there better because of there Pocket Book $$$.
Most players of L2 are adults now haha so this works out well as most don’t have the luxury of time unlike a decade ago. Real grind starts at 106 to 110
Great to see you back to L2. They dont really have a choice. Chronos/Naia is dying for some time now and they are trying to simplify it for new players and skip the 'boring stuff' for them ( leveling & class change quests ) as there is so much more content compared to C4 for example. They also probably want to appeal to the old players who are in private servers. Speaking for myself, I might join back for some nostalgia with a new character. The auto-target is fine as well since almost everyone bots now-a-days
The boring stuff!?! Oh man that’s not correct. I love the beginner areas and lore. That’s the best part of the game. The first time you are introduced to these characters and areas.

What percentage of us would spend 3 months leveling up, me personally, spent 2 weeks at L2 Classic and got frustrated at the leveling up process due to being able to only dedicate 1 hour per day
Right. I understand the need to make money but at the expense or diluting the game. Its a fine line to walk. I honestly think NCSoft should stop updates on the game and move all development into a new title. Lineage 3 perhaps. Move onto the next big thing or project.
The good old days when you had to struggle so much in the starting area to lvl up to 20 and then spend hours doing the class transfer quest. The days when you were so happy getting some higher NG weapon drop or when you gathered your mates and went killing small lvl raid bosses. The lvl progression, the areas to choose from, the pvp battlers, crafting, economy etc. Nah, NCsoft just decided to fucking delete all of the real fun out of the game.

It kills me too... what's the points of playing a game? Why not just start at lvl 85 and do a quest to lvl 100 and then pay cash for your gear to PVP with? I don't enjoy PVP unless it's like clan battles and other than that L2 has nothing more to offer anymore...
As someone who has played the game when it first lauched, and played almost every chronicle since then, it is so sad to see what this game has become, it is just a mindless, meaningless thing now, and ncsoft keeps kicking a dead horse by adding more pointless stuff in the game..Sad..

Well there's a reason why most people preffered private servers.The biggest ones still can pull ten of thousands of players on the opening day and keep 5-10k after months.Without pay to win and on c6-h5 servers.The only minus that all of those have that they wil be viped in a year or two..
They want you to think it’s thousands of players. It’s not. It’s all botting. Not botting in the server but in the numbers to show they are doing better. At most they pull in 1-2 thousand on open and a week or two layers it’s under 1000. Don’t let them fool you.
No im not.And 5-10k for those servers are not a lot.Im talking about eastern european/russian servers.People in there are hardcore players and prefer to play private servers not global ones.We had full aliances with 95% onlines.All zones were fully packed and sieges had players in the thousands.Also mostly biggest servers are active for about 3months,after that main clans leave and you have only of 5-10k for about 6months or more depending on circumstances if other big server is opening or not.Maybe in other regions it's not usual to have that much players but where i played i seen those numbers from c2 to now.
The classic NA server is pretty decent 6 days in and i'm just 36 lvl hardcore grinding crafting exping etc it's pretty darn close to the old feel of the game, definetly recommending it compared to the P2W mess that is L2 GoD.
P.S i started with 4 characters to have some buffs and went for PHP BD EE & Destroyer for some deeps, it's pretty refreshing after the years of nothingness with the GoD bs.
NA classic is prolly worse then GoD. U got NCstore exclusive "event" items that are much stronger then lvl 3 epics. Unless u can drop 2-3k USD each month to HAVE A CHANCE* to get the good stuff there is no point imo. Even if u run 24/7 full bot group u will be worthless if u dont drop tons of $$ in the store. Its prolly the same story as their GoD servers if not worse :D also after last update i think Crafters are 100% worthless. Atleast thats what ppl say , i left looong ago tnx god :D
To be onest l2 is a super cool game, but how ncsoft make it is incredible. Is next step after p2w is pay to survive. After farming weeks and weeks on the last area on 105 lvl the adena is incredible low. Like 50 milions. And the items cost bilions. And some items are only on l2 store. So this bring me to a little story. When 1 man on a siege almoust take a castel vs 7 partys( all 105+ with decent gear +12) So when that person hit with mass kill 1 party. Maybe for some ppl this is a fantasy and is not posible but is tru. So many items on l2 store and you need to spend so many dolars (5000+) to make a incredible character. Why ppl play this game? Because who still play this game spend to much money to stop. And become so addicted to this game and still spend money.Is just incredible on what stage of addiction can some ppl be.

Enchanting items hasn’t really changed. You can use scrolls to enchant but always has a chance to break. Also you can upgrade items through the head blacksmith. I’ll do more videos for these yes.

What server are you on? No there are quests. You should speak with Tarti in Gludio. If she is not there you are on a classic server not retail. Pick the Chronos server.
1 to lvl 99 is it possible to reach in 5 days if I leave it on auto 24 hours all day. 1 to 85 so easy quick 1 to 106 in 1 month can it be reached if macro non stop 24 7 days

Yes. People are up in arms man. It’s crazy however then you go actually find a leveling spot and they are all taken so people are still in it. Even if they have turned their characters to bots.

Level 1-85 has not changed I do not believe. I certainly can redo this video though. B gear? Not sure what you are referring to since the game gives you R grade Paulina gear. You do need to run 24/7 for grinding yeah. And yeah it need to spend money if you want to pick up initial gear. I can revisit this video and see what I talked about.

If you’re not a L2 player or never have been it’s a hard game to get knot by today’s standards. If you’re an old school player it’s possible to get back into it. Other games just don’t do it for my like Lineage 2 does.

This game is and plays like a mobile game (auto farm, zero drops, limited farming places for sad lvl) for a PC game it's as boring as hell. Oh and it's PTW only way to get ANYTHING is loot boxes and Tarror cards with luck.

Main version has many many differences from GOD or prev versions. So, not, NCSOFT made easiest EXP from 1-85 .

I don't know what was the point of removing the 1st, 2nd and 3rd class skills.

Yes. People are up in arms man. It’s crazy however then you go actually find a leveling spot and they are all taken so people are still in it. Even if they have turned their characters to bots.

@@Clobberstomped you have to do an update video on this. I was watching some and a lot of ppl quit over what is "B gear" they say you have to run this game 24/7 or spend money to buy what you need to get the gear.
Level 1-85 has not changed I do not believe. I certainly can redo this video though. B gear? Not sure what you are referring to since the game gives you R grade Paulina gear. You do need to run 24/7 for grinding yeah. And yeah it need to spend money if you want to pick up initial gear. I can revisit this video and see what I talked about.
@@Clobberstomped Maybe it was R gear. I was super close to downloading this game just based on your video till i watched a few more videos and came across some "why i quit" videos and it was off putting.
If you’re not a L2 player or never have been it’s a hard game to get knot by today’s standards. If you’re an old school player it’s possible to get back into it. Other games just don’t do it for my like Lineage 2 does.

You cant even have a chat in game as they are mostly bots lineage have turned this game into a money maker for themselves and don't tell me lineage are not selling adena online for real money and that's what makes this game suck now mobs don't even drop any gear so sad .Been playing this game since beta on the korean server when it first came out days have gone when you had to graft for a week just to get one lvl up any one remember Zotics elf archer lol think he was most hated player in the day .

This game is and plays like a mobile game (auto farm, zero drops, limited farming places for sad lvl) for a PC game it's as boring as hell. Oh and it's PTW only way to get ANYTHING is loot boxes and Tarror cards with luck.
I think that was the idea for them to make updates easier perhaps.
This game is and looks like a piece of shit. Long gone the great times of l2.
