I agree; You look just lovely! I am surprised that "you" are not modeling with such beautiful height, nice hands, and great "All American girl" look. I remember when I saw how statues you were and I was in a mild shock. Thank you for all those shows of fiber and the needle size descriptions. You are so distinct, just what the knit ladies need. I would imagine that I would be willing to knit for life if I had all my fibers given to me to do tutorials. But, You so knit so professional and exceptionally.
What a great stitch for beginning my projects for next Christmas (I know, I know - crazy - but I'm a Christmas-aholic). Trying the different yarns and gauges will allow me to create entirely different looking shawls. Thanks!
I want to say THANK you so much for being one of my go-to knitting teachers for the past year or so. I can always count on your precision and techniques. I'm wondering if I'm nuts w/ this one ... at 7:02 you say "slip one st purlwise" but as you're saying that, you slip it knitwise (as the pattern calls for). I get (now) why that's the classic Freudian slip of knitting, but thought I'd mention it in case it throws people for a ... loop. (sorry). thanks again + bonus points for your love of dogs.: )
Thank you!! I loved learning such a pretty and simple lace pattern. I enjoyed seeing how the different yarns looked with this pattern. I always enjoy making simple scarves with fine yarn. This will make a great one. I will have to check out Lion Brands yarns again. Your shawl is lovely and so stylish :D Have a good day ....Sharon :)
Well shame on me for thinking Lion Brand was just low-end craft store "value" yarn. These yarns are gorgeous. Gorgeous. And still value in a very positive sense. $6 a skein for 100% baby alpaca? $9 for the merino? $17 for CASHMERE? Lord have mercy on my Visa.
Oh and you nailed the colors for that shawl, my dear. That thing is killer. It's the biggest downfall of being a male knitter -- some of the coolest things I could make but never wear lol. :(
I hold my needles like you but I always have to let go of my needle to wrap the yarn!! Why can't I do it like you?? You are able to knit really fast by not letting go! 😩
What was the needle size you used on the light blue (beautiful) Superwash Merino yarn knitting in the round? (It was a denser version of the stitch.) I LOVED that you always turned your flat swatches to the back to be able to see both sides.

Such a pretty and simple stitch. Thank your showing it off in all those beautiful yarns.
I love the idea of showing a stitch or pattern in various yarns and needle sizes. Thanks for the video! Love all your tutorials!

Yay!!! I love the fancy stitch combo videos and was hoping you'd make more!
LOVE THOSE YARNS!! I have 3 skeins of blackberry superwash merino that I picked up in NYC at the Lion Brand Studio Store.
Three years later in wondering what you made with such beautiful yarn!

The Bergère de France is also a very nice tread to work with too.
Great video. And I'm loving your hair!
Great pattern! Love the yarns! Thanks
Love your videos. Thank you!
I love this stitch! Going to have to try it soon. Thank you :)
The comment I''ve made before is for canadian knitters. They had a very beatifull silky iron grey tread.
Hi Staci, But how to bind off this type of lace projects? I am beginner so dont know about binding off..

xraymdabm - the circular knitting with the superwash merino was made with size 4 US needles.
Oh that is a beautiful Staci! I love the yarns you presented too! Would look great as a mid season jacket or top, what do you think?
Poornima Jaganathan - I just used a regular, ordinary bind-off on my samples, which worked fine:

Yet another great tutorial. Can I just ask, what was the shawl called that you are wearing, I recognise it but can't seem to find it. Cheers :)
Don't see the pattern instructions on the You Tube site or on your Very Pink website. Am I missing them?
