It has a lot of interesting gameplay mechanics that haven’t really been touched since. Like how you can switch between team mates and when they die, they die for the rest of the game.
They died for the rest of the mission, but because of cloning they would come back. You could also recover their "chips" for a bonus. I can't think of any game in modern times that uses cloning in this manner.
I know this is an old video. But my mom took me and my brother to Gamehaven which was a local game store chain my state/area. We bought this game for 8 bucks. Which for my family back then was alot. We had 20 dollars a week to feed me, my two sisters and my brother/mom/dad and a cat and a dog. We often had to share meals or skip them entirely and this game was the only new game we got for the next seven years. This brings back so many memories to me. Me and my brother spent hours grinding in this game doing vs matches and the campaign just for fun. Thank you for uploading this. You've left me with tears in my eyes and thats not a bad thing.
I never forgot about Brute Force, always was a big fan of it. But sadly, for most others, you are correct. Despite selling extremely well when it released (20 years ago as of May 2023, makes me feel so old), it for some reason slipped under the radar of nostalgia and became mostly forgotten. Weird because, again, it sold a lot of copies. I'm proud to say I own a copy of Brute Force (I repurchased it 10 or so years ago because I felt nostalgic) and even own the tie-in book (which most people definitely don't know the existence of lol). Another game that is similar in the sense that it's fantastic but forgotten is Metal Arms: Glitch in The System, but that sadly didn't sell enough copies despite being really good. Proud to say I own a copy of Metal Arms: Glitch in The System, too.
I think this game is really underrated. At the time, the graphics were pretty impressive, and the different abilities made co-op a really fun and interesting experience compared to most straightforward turkey shoots that were being pumped out. Was it mind blowing? No. But it was really solid, with some unintentionally hilarious dialogue to boot. I have great memories of playing this with my brother.
I'd say hellxyeah it was mond blowin its literally better than 98 percant of games today. We can narrow gaming down to like 5 titles today we need more games like this facts
Older games had detail over graphics that's why soldier of fortune 3 will never happen the detail in next level gore will upset woke peaple those old games are before the woke society 😂I wanna go back I have a gaming pc now launch box emulator May have to try and play through emulators now because I am bored of new games I just started to put my mind into alan wake 2 I just miss those old games they are very special nostalgia aswel
I'm here to say, this is the most underrated xbox game of all time. This is a game worthy of top 5 original xbox games. The multiplayer was great, the single player was cool. It wasn't easy. It was creative and well paced and i can't remember any glitches or bugs. It was high quality gaming. Can't believe this game did not get the recognition it deserved
I finally own this game again after having only played it as a kid two decades ago (20 years) I use to love playing only as Brutus because he's so badass and I wish to be able to play it again.
This game was so fun in the past. Always played it with my sister on the original Xbox. Wish there was a PC version so I could experience it over again.
This was the first game I ever completed. I was in elementary school and I was just starting to play games in my dad's Xbox. I remember being so proud about myself, thinking it was extremely difficult to finish a game.
I spent countless nights awake playing this is my bedroom every Monday I had a session 4 boxes of jaffa cakes couple of bottles of cream soda I was set
Old games are the best why not quake 4 loved the nail gun got to the big boss fight level never completed it why can't Microsoft just say look we just remaster all games even if we have to re emulate it I heard a max payne remake is coming why not make all these old games playable because they want players to play new woke trash now very few gppd games coming out now
Same bro. I remember subscribing to Xbox magazine and getting discs with demos and cheats on them. Such great times. I still have my old system with all the cheats on it.
Lmao yess I used to play halo along with this game back then and I always was like "dude this text looks like the same as halo" Edit: I also just noticed the sight in the minute 30:09 is the same one as Halo's AR.
Remember when this came out was one of my favorite games on the OG Xbox I remember it had the halo 2 trailer back when games had demos and trailers on the main menu
Why can't anybody deliver games like this anymore 😢😢 like we can narrow gamimg down to litterally 5 games today its sad honestly. Bring back some of these titles and make gaming great again😂😂
I dont like this gameplay very mooch. The abuse of brutus only goes to show that the owner of this channel and playthrough is unfit to look after children, pets, or the elderly. Frankly I'm appauled and disgusted with what i've just seen. If I could still do a reply video I would #JUSTICEFORBRUTUS
One of my favorite games growing up. The squad vs. squad gameplay was so fun and the campaign was enjoyable as well. Highly underrated in my opinion.
Campaign was dope bro and brutal mode was insane!!!
Super underrated. No Brute Force 2… was that a missed opportunity?
One of my favorite Xbox games on the original. When I talk about this game most people don't remember it.
I think a major part of nobody remembering it is because the original Halo came out around that same time.
This game is so underrated and not enough people know just how good this game was/ is.
The nostalgia... as soon as the intro cinematic began I was instantly taken back to Christmas day, 2003. Beautiful.
Glad you enjoyed it!
I feel like mason with the numbers right now I REMEMBER
If there was ever a game that needed a reboot, this would be the one
damn right
It never will just emulator software now tho I have a gaming pc

How did I forget about this game!!!! It suddenly came back to me just now after more than 16 years
My best childhood friend and I played this together as much as we could. Had a blast.
18:30 Hands down, the best line ever uttered in any video game ever.
“What a dump”
Anyone else that grew up playing this scream when he misses the DNA canister locations ?
Been playing this on the Xemu lately, first time in 20 years. Nostalgia hasn't done me wrong with this one, it's a blast just like I remember.
This game is like a fever dream to me😂 no one ever remembers it lol
I cant remember where I first saw this game but it was really hyped and claimed (like many others) to be a Halo killer.
We see how that turned out...
@@GameMovieVault uuiuih ihy
I do.

It makes no sense that this game was never remastered for future Xboxes
Or even PC!
The lizard dudes voice is essentially the same as the elites from halo
I'm here to say, this is the most underrated xbox game of all time.

I mean I am grateful you posted the gameplay of this legend of a game, but my God! Watching your gameplay has been nothing short of torture!!!!!
Damn, I'm not the only one. 😂
Same
Fricken child hood memory by far my favourite game as a child growing up and damn just fricken awesome to see people still play it!
I remember being around my friends house playing split screen after school, good fun that was.
Those were the days man. The Golden age
This game should have been a series with online multi-player crazy it never got a remake or remaster

i still have this game it was one of my favourites..
Sleep overs staying up all night playing this.. nostalgia
This game was pretty awesome, I am honestly surprised that it was never remastered for Xbox 360 or Xbox one series
This game was part of my childhood and I remember it very fondly, and I finally remembered the name of the game!
Shame this game never got a follow up. Had a cool, Unreal Tournament vibe to it. I played this game consistently until my xbox died.
I remember the voice acting being phenomenal in this game, something most games in this era didn't have
I spent countless nights awake playing this is my bedroom every Monday I had a session 4 boxes of jaffa cakes couple of bottles of cream soda I was set
i was playing Brutus and Flint and my brother had the other two ... souvenir souvenir
The jax IR was one of the best weapons in the game for enemies besides the sweeper V.
This was my first ever shooter game and firdt game I played on the xbox. Man I used to play this over and over and try save all the confed marines
This has to be my fav game of all time
I remember this game a lot. Wished I played it more. Now, if I can just remember the other really old game, I'll be happy 😂😂
I seriously don't understand how this wasn't made backwards compatible
Just on 360

Bro i could never play the 3rd mission at night by myself when i was young 😭 that bitch was scary 😂
Both asteroid missions were scary for me at night when i was young…..tbh any Shreik missions
Hahaha yes!
Xbox needs to reboot this masterpiece
I only had the demo so I’d play the same 2 or 3 levels thinking I was doing it wrong lol.
I really love the world of the game, wish there was more done with it! God if i could i would make a sequel to this!!!
i remember i got a demo of this from a video game magazine and wanted to play this game so bad...i never bought the game tho lol
Yeah dude! I loved those Official Xbox Magazine demo discs. I still have mine in a box somewhere around here.
At least you had the chamce to try it a bit. All I had was the trailer of that game in the demo section of mechassault 😅 Good old time
Same bro. I remember subscribing to Xbox magazine and getting discs with demos and cheats on them. Such great times. I still have my old system with all the cheats on it.
One of my favorite original Xbox games and I just played it again on my used Xbox and just finished the whole game brought back memories ❤
This guy has the way of it. Never miss a chance to reload.
I’ve been looking for this game for the longest time
The fact that they reuse the Halo font for this is hilarious.
which?
@@BLUEBOYLUGOS the menu fonts are the same as Halo

I always gave up at the Shrike missions as a kid, not clear where to go and so goddamn hard...for a 11 yr old haha
First game I remember playing, where I learned how to use a controller.
Amazing game, somehow looks just how I remembered it.
Damn, this is bringing up so many memories 😢
How can we play this game in 2022?
Sadly cannot be played on the series s or x such a shame..
Shoutout to Craig, that's my guy!

So this was a real game, and not something I made up 20 years ago lmao
57:32 bruh XD
I remember when this game was considered the Halo Killer, but it ended up being a huge pos.
It got good reviews, the narrative was just subpar compared to halo’s
Let's 1v1 on xemu
