i watched this battle and i was so touched. It was really intense at the same time it was friendly. All area and gamblerz are so modest with so much respect towards their opponents. They are so strong yet they don't act so cocky. They do a little in the middle, but there is so much peace and respect after the battle. respect to both of them
AGREED!
nah my man i def agree with you on that, and i actually respect Gamblerz alot more now than I ever did, even when i saw them lose to MZK @ Evolution 3
@hop505 Do know where I can download that song? I can't seem to find it anywhere D:
i said it before and ill say it again i just love how Takashis style because of how he hits the beats
@robertknguyen 1st song is Saizyou Hideki - love intense
yeah of course born is in rivers. He used to guest bboy for gamblerz too years ago. My last comment is about him & taisuke being in the same crew mighty zulu kings
BOTY will be very interesting this year. I hope to see some major upsets this year. What if Top9 somehow became 2x as boss as these crews? What if USA actually made it to the Top 4 this year? So many possiblities, I can't wait to see what happens!!
yea but most routines are over-rated, and how long is the flight from Korea to Singapore???
if theres more where is the other video?
by the way, do you know about team ohh? any idea who were the original members back then in BOTY 2001?
Voilà la 2éme Partie c'est déjà bcp mieux =D !
Mais bon sa reste quand même assez cool
yeah back in the day with Team Ohh which was more like... Bronx/King Ark... had Kazu from I Love Footwork
Glamblers are very good, but doesn't mean they can win all the time.
They just gotta practice more.. that's all they gotta do for next year..
Good work for the Japanese team!! Hope they win boty 2009..its been a long time since Japan won at a world bboy contest.
I like yu's style(the first guy from all area i n this vid) he's so fast and diverse with flexible legs & to the beat thats hard!
You can find clean powermoves from taisuke when he was 12, i saw a video of him a while back when he was a kid and he got clean powermoves. He bends his legs to get speed by shifting his power into strength controlled instead of momentum
hey men, have u get the name of this beat?
anyone knows the difference between the hands 'bite sign' and the arm 'bite sign'? some of the gamblerz members are doing both and im confused.. --' 7:24
this battle shows no matter how much power moves u got, style and beat riding always wins!
true, US is weak with routines, but they got something else instead. They got the strongest foundations, and they always keep it real. I've been a little disappointed these days seeing all these crews going for ABDC though, but i'm trying to think positive and support them
OmG Taisuke´s set was like KILLER
how come i dont see the end wit gamblerz much no more??
what type of shoe is taisuke wearing?
@ajbsmiley707 therefore he bends his knees for more speed... which would mean his flares are different to the normal looking flare... so essentially he is doing them for more speed so that they are different... why was my statement wrong?
@ExcaliburFortress have you never seen taisuke do flares???
he does them with bent legs to be different!
man did noodle even get 1 set to himself that battle? big ups to all area. everyone in that crew has the sickest unique flava and attitude, a huge inspiration to bboys and bgirls everywhere
whats the song when rush comes in?
hey was dat the end toward the end? i thought he was hurt
taisuke is a beast props to both crews
well, Kazuhiro, Toshiki and Taisuke are all in All Area now
Kazu is in I Love Footwork/Bronx, as Toru is also in Bronx, don't know about the girl and the other 3 cats...
I would say that with the exception of a couple of guys in Gamblerz and Jinjo, the best b-boys in Korea are all probably comin outta the FloorGangz squad
i dont get it who did all area bite off of with the airflare over the guy?
Where is THE END ? Did i missed smth ?
I dont spend a lot of time on the western side of the globe. Every now and then I will be stateside for a few months but mostly I am in the Asia area. Flying back and forth is stupidly expensive.
Lets compare, King so did air flares, flare, 1990s, and half of a elbow track then style
Taisuke did style, king flares and air chair spin. how could u think taisuke won over the set?
jesus christ both these crews group sets were sick
Some of you are saying Gamberz were having an "off day." Well that shit doesn't cut it. ONE person can have an off day, but when you're a crew, you better ALWAYS stay on top of things. An off-day is not an excuse, you either bring it or you don't. All Area rightfully won this, that's that.
which crew won?
I wanna see a battle between King So vs Taisuke.
does anyone know name of the track? 0:50
I think taisuke's bent flares help him go faster since u dont have to lift them as high when u want a clean flare... fast but it bothers me
I feel thats the way bboying should be talked about and should be viewed. It shouldnt be viewed as just a dance form. It should be viewed as a culture. I have heard a few others talk about how its a medium for expression which is cool, but there are people out there like Darkness that view it as something more. Its refreshing really to hear someone talk like that about something.
What is the song at 53 seconds? it's been haunting me for AGES!!!!!
No idea, but some of them could have been in Europe or even the U.S. Looking at a world map only, it looks like its equal from flying from Maine to Costa Rica. I have flown from Virginia to Japan and the total flight time (not counting hours in the airport) was 22 hours (that was 1 way).
I dont think routines are over rated, I think there are crappy routines though. If you have lived on both sides youll see its really more of a culture difference then a difference in dance or battle style.
nah ur right about everything there, but Yu Toshiki and Kazuhiro were members of Zulu but aren't anymore, only Katsu and Taisuke are now
Yo Can Anyone Tell Me Who Comes Out At 4 30 ?
PLEASE
0:54 whats the name of the song?
wad's the song tt start @ 0:52 ???
0.00-0.55 what's the song name?
you don't have to, thats why we have the internet, technology's greatest tool of information trade
What's the song title at 2:23?
first beat?
yeah, actually i agree with that, gamblez were heavily leaning towards routines to the crowd, specially that human pyramid routine with darkness. BUT, that was like long ago, wouldn't you say? but i think differently now. I mean, people say gamblez are losin' it just because they don't have those routines anymore, but i think in terms of bboyin, they got much stronger. Like, rush, still, king so, and noodle, they got good sense of musicality
i think they're tryina say that its a bite from the Floor Lords routine, but i mean All Area flipped it
i think that Gamblerz bit Vicious Germs harder for the routine they did in Pt. 3 of this battle @ 1:40
I have never heard any of the U.S bboys speak out on their views on what it is to be a bboy. But I have heard some of the Gamblerz talk about their take on bboying. I see foundation as what made something what it is today, the roots if you will of something. Foundation to me doesnt mean footwork nor will it ever. A lot of people rag on Gamblerz about their "foundation" but when you hear them talk about bboying youll see they have tons of foundation. Darkness especially, that guy gets it.
is tht Takashi? i never knew he was in all area.
they bit gamblerz airflare move! when someone crouches down and someone airflares over them
what?! Born is in rivers not gamblerz
the end a missing
Whats the beat at 0:52?
yeah, bad year for gamblez, didn't they also lose to MZK at FSS10 the same year? i mean, they did well, but they had a little too much routines and blowups rather than rythmical flow and flava. I would love to see Floorgangz Korea vs MZK America, that would be sick..
4:30+ Mad respect to all area crew, that killed it lol.
- Bboy JayFeva
thats why you should never leave it to routines, who care if they arrived the night before, some real crews out there don't even use routines like HaviKORO and Skill Methodz, they're straight up soldiers out there on one man army missions!
@HanFenz
You forgot Furious.
I wouldnt say strongest foundations only because foundation has different meaning to everyone. I think the U.S bboys have over most is their 1v1 ability. Its safe to say U.S bboys have a higher chance of winning 1v1 battles then most bboys in other countries.
ABDC isnt bad in a sense that it makes bboy crews really start working on routines and working as a crew on the floor. The bad thing is that they dont show what bboying is. It isnt just a dance, its more a lifestyle then anything.
yeah...look at 0:25
TOSHIKI & TEISUKE VS KEVO & KID DAVID would be dope
yea gamblerz won first crew in BOTY history to win 2 times WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
no, he's just learning how to battle, MZK knows the real way, intimidation will knock your opponents off their game, and with Taisuke, Toshiki, Katsu, Kazuhiro and Yu all being MZKs... well, look what happened to Gamblerz here, they looked nervous, not poised and just straight up completely off their game
Gamblerz seemed a bit restrained lolz. Saving the best for finals?
wen taisuke jumped in, he frikkin killed tht crap
i like 2 wear converses n vans...mostly converses doe
was that bboy differ @1:32
taisuke's a beast!!! 3:00
song at 2:23?
not really.....in interview he was asked how r ur flares so fast and when u do normal speed how come they're straight??
taisuke said he bends his knees cuz slowly bring in ur legs (bending them) increases the speed..over the years hes developed the control of the speed...when he does normal flares its super clean because he doesnt need to control the speed....n since he has so much control he can keep it clean
lol....did u no that this is taisukes 2nd vvisit to boty international....he went in 2001 as a kid part of team ohh
taisuke ripped it
Most U.S crews dont have the same international exposure then Gamblerz crew. You would care a lot if you flew an 18 hour flight and in a few hours had to go to work. No disrespect to the U.S. crews because some of them are awesome, but part of the reason its hard for them to win big international events is because their lack of routines.
maybe they're saying its a bite from morning of owl
@MukumL lol... seeing what he's been doing recently is proof enough =]
he was a powermover some time ago, but not no more.
gamblerz tried too hard...it was just a chilled battle for all area...no offense...but props to both crew....2 of my fav crews...DOPE!!!!!
song please 5:00
oh shit how many rounds was that ?
8:27
nah don't get me wrong I think All Area is beast, i mean they are from different crews tho for the most part, Katsu from Style Vale Tudo, Tomokazu from Top Nation, Toshiki and Taisuke from King Ark etc... but I'm saying like ive never felt that Gamblerz were that strong individually with the exception of 3 or 4 of em, ive always felt like they were pretty overrated, and i look at them as more of a VERY good performance crew, they do most of their routines to the crowd rather their opponents...
I agree.... haha.....
at first i thought it was bust gambler or sumtin....
there called king flares.
Im not talking about his dance style, Im talking about his passion for bboying. He talks about bboying like it should be talked about. He sees it as most people see ballet. Most people view ballet as more then a dance and art form, they view it as a part of culture. That is the way Darkness sees bboying. Most people dont see that because its so young and obscure, it gets misinterpreted a lot. The way that guy talks about bboying is like an aristocrat talking about ballet
SONG 1:01
why people crying over gamblerz loosin this battle they won the international BOTY and in the end thats what matters Gamblerz will always be the best crew in my eyes
@BBoytoshone lol are we seriously talking about the same guy here? Pop isn't a powermover? i RARELY see him incorporate footworks in his set. He does them but so does brucelee, the end, etc and they're still considered powermovers.
Unless you know him personally i couldn't have mistaken. xD
taisuke is hot as HELL !!
lol at 3:04. You could see sic pointing to born probably saying taisuke is in the same crew as born so you probably shouldn't touch him
@ajbsmiley707 thanks for the physics lesson... i don't understand why you don't feel what he's doing is different?? The majority of bboys don't do their flares like him, that makes him different.... he does them like that for speed yes, but also to stand out, his is putting his own flavour into the move! That is all i'm saying... i don't know why your saying i'm wrong :S
its bboy still
bboy at 4:30 ?
from 7:15 they bit gamblerz tricks like few times. lol gamblers crew gets all pissed about it and call it biting too lol
i think morning of owl
@MukumL lol... just go watch his recent battles xD
gamblerz didn't win this man. They both had strong individuality, but gamblez mess up their routine pretty bad. So All area took it overall with routines. But don't worry man, they still got another chance in the finals. Bboy still said it himself, he admits the defeat, but they weren't really prepared for BOTY Asia as a whole team cause members arrived in different days (some arrived the nite before) dude to other bboy events. They didn't get a chance to practice as a team.
