Cyprus hold a special place in my heart, my dad was stationed there when he was in the army, my brother was born there and It was my 1st every holiday abroad. Can’t wait to see more. Bet it so good to be back travelling😀

Yes . Stay away from pafos .it's all hills with little to do .though it's open all year round even when it's cold .but not much in the way if beaches .unless you Go to coral bay . That's it ! Go to Famagusta , paralimni area lots more to see and do . Just don't ever go in August .. It's the hottest time and all the Cypriots holiday in that month so it's over busy and the beaches are full .
I live in limassol , you should have got a cab or a number 30 bus and headed further down the main sea front , as in the opposite direction of the marina . You would have found all the 5 star hotels with nice beaches .
I was last in Limassol in the late 1980s, so this video takes me back ....way back!! Completely different city now. When I was there, the bars and nightclubs were all on one street. Great fun though.

Pls pls go to Gavernors beach ( near Limassol) and Lara beach! Don't miss Kalopanagiotis village (have a spa day), the cave Greco , Figtree , Nissi bay (on a week day), Larnaca city (to see me 😂🏝️😎, and the "Oroklini hills "), try Leon beer ...btw everything is about pricey here 😊 I know a lot CY people will hate me, but you need to go to "the other side"..is the occupied side. The island is still devided in two ..from the 1974 war..need to go to Famagusta and Kerynia..have a good time and I will be more than happy to give you more tips 😉
I was in Cyprus in June 2016, based in Nicosia but visited Limassol, Larnaca and Paphos. Towards the end of my stay it got so hot that on the last day I got to the airport four hours early just to take advantage of the air conditioning. Crazy or what? I can imagine how hot it must be in August. Have a great stay there.

Cyprus is now awful to go to with all of the covid rules. My home from home, I've been going for 30 years but can not go there now while it is like this. I have friends living there and they are like virtual prisoners. It is a beautiful island, especially the east of the island.
Wow we been there last month but it’s too hot😂😂😂 We Love there beaches… I like there haloumi it’s delicious because not too salty… Go to Paphos there marina is nice too and too many boat that more cheaper than in Limassol, you can visit blue lagoon without booking it earlier… catch the boat that they will bring you to blue Lagoon… Better you stay in the hotel like Mediterranean Beach Hotel they have very beautiful pool and nice the beach front hotel.

limassol beaches are not the best. The best beaches are the eastern part of the Island agia napa,protaras etc Limassol nowadays is not so much a holiday resort,just a city,was very popular back in the eighties with winter tourists from the UK

Why would anyone holiday in the work zone ...it's made for industry ....you need Famagusta to holiday . I only lived in Cyprus 10 years what would I know .
Cold!? When did you go there? I was there last year in end of October and the water was super nice, not cold, we went for a dip almost every day, and many days we went many times. Was there an entrance fee to the beach club?

Can I ask? I'm guessing you guys have been double jabbed? And if so what did you need at the UK airport ... just ticket, passport and Cyprus Flight Pass? Asking because a relative is coming to see me in Paphos and the web sites suggest no need for a PCR test from UK if double jabbed.
Yes we’re double jabbed! On the Cyprus gov website if you’re double jabbed you don’t need a PCR, you need proof so you the NHS certificate on the app and online! No covid test required! On the Cyprus flight pass you upload your nhs certificate, so in bars and restaurants you will show the flight pass ☺️

We live in here and we drive 120km to Protaras/Paralimni when we want to go to the beach. Limassol is beautiful for what it is, but is definitely not a blue flag beach area. Even north of Paphos would have made a better choice for beaches.

I live here by the beach. The molos area and the first beach u came to is actually man made. Land was extended outwards beyond the one lane wide previous road. There are better beaches along this beachfront towards the four seasons Hotel and ancient amathunta and the temple of Aphrodite.
Loved Cyprus. Stayed in Larnaca and eventually went to Kar Paz Marina in Turkish Cyprus to sail a catamaran up the Turkish coast. Go check out Farmagusta -very interesting history. Also Leftkari and see the lace and fillagree silver makers.
Best sandy beaches are in northern Cyprus no rocks or stones just sandy crystal clear beaches especially in Famagusta called glapsides beach 🏖️😉 don't forget to visit north side of the island next time.
Haven't been to Limassol, but went to Nicosia and Larnaca. Nicosia Turkish side was definitely the highlight for me! You're making me jealous with all this halloumi. So good. 🤤

The castle you visited is built over an ancient site and at this castle Richard the Lionheart married.
