Dude the owner clearly didn’t get his requirements straight before purchasing this motorcycle. If he needed a back rest n better pillion comfort he should’ve have gone with super meteor or interceptor. Shotgun is mainly for solo rides and pillion seat is just for riding a small distance. I was confused between super meteor and shotgun. Enjoyed the shotgun more. Meteor is very relaxing but in shotgun you’ve to lean forward a bit n it feels more fun. Fitness matters for short gun. The dude picked the wrong bike he’s fat and unfit can’t handle shotgun. I picked shotgun because it’s more fun n I lift weights five times a week. Love it’s riding posture. Super meteor is for uncles my opinion. But yeah fitness matters for shotgun. He’s not fit should’ve picked super meteor or intercepter. N I’ve installed bar end mirrors they are very good

I’m from west delhi. Got my shotgun 2 days back n I’m loving it. I’m a Sikh already bought most of the protective gear jackets knee guards boots but I’ll be buying a helmet this weekend also to take it on highways.

Have almost everything 2 when it comes to protective gears, except for the riding pants.
Shotgun definitely needs fitness. 240 kgs weight mazaak nahi hai. While riding it won’t feel heavy. But when you move it in parking lot and try to put it on Center stand, dum aa jaati hai. Take it as a motivation to be fit!💪

I along with my wife go together on this bike. I am 5-9 n she is 5-7. We never had problem whatsoever.

Bro, don’t listen to this clown. I own this bike, there are a couple of shortcomings but nothing major:
1. Handlebar is a bit forward set which put strain on your shoulders and back - solution - get super meteor 650 handlebar installed.

2. Seat is not comfortable - get it fixed by khajanchi.

Went to buy this motorcycle. Actually spotted all these issues and came back with out buying this motorcycle... My point was no point in buying a motorcycle worth 5lakhs where I have to really work on to customize a lot of the stuff... Yes the handling is good.. But the rear seat is really not great..

Bhai, shotgun is a bobber. Bobbers are not supposed to have pillion seat
Bhai iss owner ki demand kuch or hi expectations ki hai… he need to understand the bike and thr segment first. This is bobber segment bike, bhai ko understanding kuch b nahi hai bikes ki. I am using this bike from last 3/4 years… agr aap bike lene se pehle bike ko jan lo uske segment ko jan lo toh sayad u can experience gud bike.

The review is not great. The bike doesn’t deserve this owner. Keeping the bike so dirty and not maintaining at all. Moreover he said that bike is small for him, shouldn’t he look for this before buying? There are negatives for sure but this bike deserves an owner who appreciates it.

Most of the RE enthusiasts (old RE fans) doesn't even know what a bobber is, they be like "Bullet se badiya koi gadi nhi hai, yeh Bullet meri jaan" because all they think is RE = Bullet, they dont consider RE as a retro British motorcycling brand but "Bullet mard ki sawari" instead.
I'm not saying Bullet is bad I ride the Classic 350 and I love my machine, a couple of months ago she completed 8 years with me.
I read a comment where someone said fitness is important for riding SG650 I feel it's true, because the bike needs to suit your style as well and it isn't made for the lazy fat fu**s who criticize a machine if they don't get the attention lol.
If you want attention then go for aftermarket exhausts you'll be noticed but without it you will be hidden in a crowd of other bikes I'm sorry to say because that's what has happened with me earlier when the rules and ticketing system was lenient and we didn't get a ticket for aftermarket exhaust then I used ceramic wool Dolphin exhaust and my goodness that rumble made my Phoenix (my bike's name) stand out everywhere I go.

I ll be honest, I own the green drill color in shotgun and it sure is attention grabbing but even if it is not, I don’t give a fuck. I bought it because I liked it, not because everyone is going gaga about it.
Bobber style is not meant for Indians. Everyone is trying to a put rear seat on the Java bobbers and criticizing the RE for shotgun.
We simply cant conceive or believe in a single seat product. Bobbers are meant to be clean aesthetic custom bikes!
It is a big thing that we are getting these bikes for under 5 lakh, the triumph bobber costs 12-14Lakh. These will sell well in Europe.
