Fun Fact: I have ZERO clue to why my last video got a load of views, WHO ARE YOU PEOPLE?! - เกม
The funny thing about this is that I'm the guy that asked dinnerbone on twitter all those years ago about the red dragon😂 people still to this day screenshot it & put it in their videos
Well, that's surely something to be known for, and a neat something at that :D
Want a cookie little boy?
LOL NICE
That's awesome!
The fly removal option was the dumbest thing when we have parrots are allergic to chocolate
I still hope that they reconsider the 2017 mob vote mobs.
The barnacle could be a good alternative for sharks.
the red dragon is needed even if its just for april fools retexturing of blocks and mobs or smth
no
dont make a waste it must be in main game
@@yarik_superpro I think even an official mc addon on bedrock for free would do it justice but i dont think we should have it in the main game, it would bassically just be retextured ender dragon. the only way it should be in game is if it was a boss added to the nether for a nether boss and have that op blaze from the mob vote as a boss in the nether too, just so theres more bosses and the nether is hard.
"they didnt add sharks because they were too realisic." so they added suicide bombers!
different time frame. Creepers were added by notch, the shark decision was made after it was sold.

I think the dragon egg should be hatchable, but the baby dragon won't grow up bc it would be op. It would kinda be like a flying wolf in a way, just a cool pet. It would be cool if it would fly off your shoulder and hunt any phantoms that are flying above and swoop down and attack hostile mobs! For ppl who want to keep the dragon egg, when the baby hatches, it drops some egg fragments that can be crafted into a hatched dragon egg. Lastly, I think the Ender Dragon should drop scales, or you can find a sort of ancient debris in the end that can be used to make an armour better than netherite, bc I think the strongest armour should be in the end. But after adding this dragon armour all new armours should be specialized like one could give you slowness in exchange give you better armour than dragon armour, ect. Now adding this all to a potential End update would be my perfect update!
Red Dragon is never coming, it pretty clear it got turned into the Elytra
It's just suck that modders have to carry Minecraft most of the weight while Mojang and Microsoft doing unnecessary updates that doesn't really add things up
I like to treat the red dragon like an asymptote. We're always approaching but never quite there.
JUST MAKE FROGS NOT EAT FIREFLIES IT'S THAT SIMPLE YOU DON'T NEED TO CANCEL A FEATURE OVER THIS JUST REMOVE ONE LINE OF CODE!!!!!!
your narratives are always so compelling and well-crafted!
I love this content. I subscribed! I love the short and easy, straight to the point interesting videos.
Good work man!
I can't remember the last time I experienced a major bug in a Minecraft update. And I don't know why anyone would want a dragon in the game. It's a sheer novelty, players can already fly with the elytra and anything else would be too gimmicky.
i just want to fight another dragon :P
@@CoolCreeper5322 That's fair, but it's really not something I see being necessary to the game.
dragons are cool, wings, not as much
I don’t know why you *wouldn’t* want dragons, in anything really
@@matheuscabral9618 I just don't see a non-boss dragon fitting into Minecraft.
@@PhonyLyzardwho said it's a non boss? Maybe it could be hostile until you somehow gain trust.
The modders have done what minecraft wouldn't do, even optimizing their games.
Can you PLEASE make a video about the doggy treats mod?

Ohhhhh, no red dragon?!?! Well, cool video Kodak!
i know Mojang doesn't listen because of their "we don't care of what the audience thinks" mentality, but this is my idea of adding the Red Dragon to Minecraft:
it'd just be called the "DRAGON"; a *Boss mob* found in caves in the Overworld of specific biomes (i'll explain if asked), summonable by luring it with a Block of Gold.
its physical description is as follows: basically the Ender Dragon, but red, and its wings are white with black membrane; and breathes fire.
it drops Dragon Scales, Fire Sac, Wing Membrane, and Dragon Heart.
the Dragon Scales (dropped by one other monster) are for crafting a new armour type - chestplate and helmet - called Scalemail; the Wing Membrane replace the Phantom Membrane, meaning it has the same functions as it (dropped another monster other than the Phantom); the Fire Sac and Dragon Heart are used for brewing a new potion: Breath Potion (Fire), which lets you breathe fire.
there's an ice variant: white, and light grey wings with blue membrane. also found in caves, it shares 2 biomes with the normal variant, and it's found in caves of cold biomes. drops the same materials, save for the Ice Sac, for the Breath Potion (Ice).
i know, i'm just giving the Ender Dragon a paint job, but see how i managed to create something new - and arguably good - just by taking what's already there and tweaking it? there's a lot of things i've come up with that use that method.
the Fire and Ice mod did it? f@c# the mods! this is based on my philosophy, which is based on the question i asked myself: "how would Mojang do it?"
Mojang did not forget about the past. During anniversary updates they update decade old things and add new things in tribute to the old.
1.13 was developed and 1.14 announced a year before 10th anniversary, 1.14 and 1.15 were developed and 1.16 announced during 10th anniversary, 1.16 was developed and 1.17 announced a year after 10th anniversary. They all changed drastically the game on various fronts even tho 1.17 was little too much for them to handle in one update.
1.20 was developed and 1.21 announced a year before 15th anniversary, 1.21 developed and 1.22 will be announced during 15th anniversary, 1.22 will be developed and 1.23 announced a year after 15th anniversary. 1.20 added chiseled bookshelf, hanging signs, bamboo wood, cherry biome, armor trims, netherite smithing template upgrade, piglin head, monster head sounds, things players wanted for very long time and drastically change the gameplay. 1.21 added Trial Chambers which are tribute to the old classic box of spawner with loot chests named Dungeon while also adding new fighting style with new weapon Mace and Wind Charge, new monster Breeze (tribute to Blaze ngl), new method to obtain rare Tridents, Vaults to solve the decades old problem of multiplayer, Crafter. All things players wanted and needed. And think what 1.22 of 15th anniversary gonna do, oh boy.

Alright video with chill editing but I have some thoughts™: Not too sure about why Minecraft needs a red dragon to be honest.
If you mean as a boss fight, don't we already have an ender dragon? You would also need to design new context for the game for the red dragon to exist in (new realm, biome, items, ecosystem of mobs, etc) to make it fit into the game, increasing the game's feature creep.
If you mean as a passive mob that you can tame, it would be out of place with the game's other passive mobs and the environment of Minecraft itself, since the overworld is mundane-fantasy rather than high fantasy. Keeping the overworld like this is what makes the Nether and The End special because of the vast contrast between a somewhat ordinary world to purely supernatural ones. If we made the overworld more fantastical by adding dragons, the Nether and The End's appeals would be diminished. I don't judge Mojang for trying to balance the appeals of Minecraft's many features at this point.
Speaking of balance, a potential tameable red dragon could also diminish the appeal of other transport options (especially the elytra) and could even be too overpowered for the game. Again, I don't judge Mojang for choosing balance and temperance over spectacle and abundance of features.
I'm also not sure what you mean by "back to the past" at 1:14. Some more specific definitions of what this means would clarify your point a lot.
About the design decisions of passive vs hostile mobs as a whole, it's slightly annoying that you faded out Notch as he was about to explain that he was also trying to keep animals friendly and hostile mobs unnatural, and thus painting Mojang's decisions (such as recent mentions of the sharks and fireflies) as something that happened to modern Minecraft rather than a design decision that was there when Notch was there as well. I know this because I searched up the video you've used to find out what Notch was saying as the video faded him out (Notch Answers Minecraft 1.8 Questions - Community Questions for Markus (Notch) Persson by OmniTechNews. The question is asked at 3:17).
As someone who's also interested in video essays, I recommend putting a source list in the description of your video so that your audience can view where you're getting your research from and read/watch it for themselves. It's a professional quality of life choice that allows your audience to read up further on your video's topic and keeps you accountable on how you're presenting your research by providing the original sources as well as your video, which is more likely to be subjective and opinionated. Depending on how you write it, it could also give you SEO benefits (though algorithm-appeal shouldn't be the primary reason why you include sources in my opinion, only a secondary one).
Again, alright video, but could of been a bit better with the script. 👍
Good constructive criticism, and yeah I’m not entirely sure that longer Minecraft mini-documentary styled videos are my thing, I’m definitely trying to find the balance between my own style and that style of videos
Mojang doesn't have the idea for moving forward, it's more like Microsoft is making them move forward. Microsoft knew that Notch and Jeb had created lightning in a bottle. They're so afraid of cracking said bottle, which is the reason why Minecraft updates for the past few years have felt lack luster. Mojang probably wants to add stuff like dragons. But Microsoft unfortunately probably sees features like these as a possible way to crack the bottle. I wouldn't be shocked if sooner or later someone who's a developer at Mojang comes out about stuff like the mob vote being not the idea of Mojang but Microsoft's idea.
the developers have already said that mob votes aren't something they have control over and that they are done to get people talking about the game and create engagement

i'm ok with them not adding the red dragon, they have a good reason for it. We already have a dragon boss and adding another one would just be uncreative, especially when the game doesn't have many bosses in the first place. i don't know why people want the "red dragon" specifically, does it do anything special that other mobs can't do??
because people want to ride the red dragon, obviously. don't pretend you don't understand something so obvious...
@@cralo2569 but why? What's so special about a "red dragon"? Why can't it be green or yellow? Why can't it be something else?
@@hhff8534because people have been thinking about the Red Dragon specifically for a long time. It's not about the color.
@@cakecheese2895 why? mojang haven't said anything about what it would do or how it would work.
@@hhff8534 Correct, they haven't. Some people want another dragon in Minecraft. Mojang originally planned to add another dragon mob-- The Red Dragon. Those people who hoped for another dragon mob were pleased to hear about the plans for the Red Dragon to be added some day, and some still hope today that the Red Dragon might be added some day.
