I'm a manger at McDonalds and I have to say its quite refreshing to see the other side of the delivery service. props to you and al the other driver/riders!
Happy new year mate, hope it goes well for you! 🙂I do think what made the difference is people just weren't travelling this year, because of quite a lot of people returning to work & school on the 2nd Jan and don't want to cook, or hungover from NYE parties, their whole thought process is just relax instead and enjoy a takeaway. Like, I travel and get back together with family for another large xmas dinner on NYD .. the motorways really were not busy, atleast not as busy as I remember. Great video as always, always do love your more lengthy delivering videos. 💙
It was my birthday 🎉on new years so forgive me for definitely not working haha. Good shift mate really chuffed for you 😃 some lovely boosts and bonuses
The government has introduced a law compelling GiG companies to disclose drivers & riders earnings to HMRC. The government wants their tax paid. I wonder if this will affect the number of delivery workers if they are being chased for tax? Will the practice of loaning or selling accounts decrease with this new liability?
The first report is due by the end of January 2025 so they’ll have a full years earnings from all registered accounts. I think it will definitely cut down on the number of rented/sold accounts as the main holder will be responsible for the tax etc
Hey bud, love the videos. Love seeing the camera view, enjoy your thoughts and communication as a whole and very interesting to see the money output of doing deliveries full-time. One question I had was when do Uber and deliveroo payout your earnings?
They both pay once per week, but with those apps you can also cash out whenever you like for a 50p charge - better to just wait for the weekly payout though (Tuesday for Deliveroo, Uber process on Monday and you receive it Wednesday)
Happy New Year! Thanks for another great video. How is the money you receive worked out? I make regularly orders on food delivery sites as I'm disabled and always wondered how much the delivery driver earns from my orders? So is it depending on the value of the order/distance etc? Sorry if that's confidential information. Hope 2024 is a great year for you. Looking forward to more uploads.
Pretty much down to distance and how long the order has been sat in the system - if no rider accepts it for a while the pay gets boosted. Thanks for the support 🥰
Hello mate, enjoying the videos, would like to start part time but the insurance thing at the moment just seems like a nightmare, would you mind if I ask whom you use please? Thanks, David
I just started UberEats 3 days ago and McDonald's have been the best, they're nearly always ready when I get there 😍 although they do take a while to hand them over sometimes. Thank you I am enjoying your videos 🥰 hope they have some quests soon 🤞
Hi may i ask how long is the video verification process ? I have sumbited my video passport but its been 4 days now. :( Curious how long it usually take before i contact uber. Appreciate if you could reply back
Weekly with Deliveroo, Uber and Amazon - but with the food delivery apps you can cash out your earnings at any time instantly for a 50p fee. Best to wait for weekly payment but if you’re really in a financial pinch, the instant cash outs can be a lifesaver.
I would hate going to maccies or gregs or pizza huts bc I would just want to get meals from them straight away😂😂 id prob crash my car from keep looking at the bags of food 😂😂
I saw I had a rider who then cancelled, but he was just sat in McDonalds, so he cancelled and it went to another rider in KFC as a doubke as I ordered it, and was the first rider
I’m gonna do a whole video on it soon - but you pay tax once per year. It can be reduced a lot by claiming mileage allowance. Last year my tax was 9% of my profit, compared to 20% that someone would pay in employment on the same wage.

Cheers mate - appreciate the work you guys do, you get so many delivery orders in restaurants that weren’t built for it, it must be hard to manage 🙌🏻
I like the deliveries but I’m really here to watch what England looks like.

Watching how excited he gets over 10.00 tip (even if it is pounds and not dollars) just highlights the cultural differences of the US and UK
who are you insured with? zego?
For now - they've just put my monthly insurance up by like 25% so I could be switching real soon.
What car do you use? Sounds like its great on fuel
Nissan Micra 2011 - small car so it is pretty economical!
happy new year
Hi there, how often do you get paid? Daily, weekly or monthly ?
Weekly with Deliveroo, Uber and Amazon - but with the food delivery apps you can cash out your earnings at any time instantly for a 50p fee. Best to wait for weekly payment but if you’re really in a financial pinch, the instant cash outs can be a lifesaver.
I would hate going to maccies or gregs or pizza huts bc I would just want to get meals from them straight away😂😂 id prob crash my car from keep looking at the bags of food 😂😂
I notice in expenses you don't mention tax are those earnings tax free ?
Not tax free - but tax isn’t a work expense, everyone’s tax obligations are unique and wages are given pre-tax, so that’s what I list in my videos.
Is that nissan micra you're driving,my father also drives one
Indeed - great car for delivery work!
Was that liver sandwiches
£10 tip 🤑 Happy New Year 🥳
you dont pay tax?
Not after each shift, no. I pay it annually. Profit is before tax.
I saw I had a rider who then cancelled, but he was just sat in McDonalds, so he cancelled and it went to another rider in KFC as a doubke as I ordered it, and was the first rider
Ps am glad other drivers cancel when made to wait , so annoying.
Who’s your insurance with mate?
Zego pay monthly mate 🙌🏻
can I please ask you how much do you pay for your Hire and Reward Insurance? thanks@@autohustles
What about tax & national insurance in deductions
They aren’t job expenses - everyone pays those. I’m working out pre-tax profits, like any wage.
First! Damnit 2nd! 🤣
please tell me about self employment tax on income.
I’m gonna do a whole video on it soon - but you pay tax once per year. It can be reduced a lot by claiming mileage allowance. Last year my tax was 9% of my profit, compared to 20% that someone would pay in employment on the same wage.
@@autohustles please also cover this in your video that what expenses can be claimed under tax.
thank you
