“I rolled my ankle the play before on offense. I was going for a rebound, and I stepped on Herro. Rolled my ankle. Came back, maybe started to compensate with the other side a little bit too much or something. I don’t know. Maybe it just happened, I don’t know. And then yeah, as soon as I pushed off, I felt something, [and] I was like, ‘Aghh.’ You saw my reaction on the court, you know? But then, once we kind of got the diagnosis, I calmed down and realized it looks like it’s not as bad as I initially thought. It is what it is. Of course, nobody wants to get hurt. But at least it’s not as bad as it could have been.”

5 keys to this series:
1. there will be matchup advantages across the floor (except Al vs. mobley). the key for the Js is to balance attacking these mismatches and getting their teammates engaged. The celtics blow out most teams when everyone eats and it's not the Js show. Better to have multiple threats with 5-6+ players in double figures over just 2 players pushing 25-30+.
2. attack donovan on defense. making him work on defense will make his offense less efficient (will settle for 3s which hes mediocre at over driving to the rim). Might want to consider running drop over switch too.
3. no overhelping on donovan. put a good defender on him like jrue/jb and live with the results. he'll get his. the key, just like the miami series, is shutting down everyone else and baiting donovan into being a pure scorer. let him freeze out his teammates. dont let the strus, merrill, niangs, etc gain confidence.
4. not as bad as the heat but the cavs wont have as much offense to keep up with the celtics in a shootout. So side with the MATH and prevent 3s. only way they keep up with the celtics offensively if the guys i mentioned in #3 catch fire from 3. take away the 3 and we will win a shootout. They arent beating the celtics on donovan drives/middies alone, especially if jarrett allen remains out for a while.
5. speaking of jarrett allen, if he does return, the celtics would be at a rebounding disadvantage. it would be imperative that the Cs win the rebounding battle. boxing out and crashing the boards will go a long way in ensuring we dont allow cleveland multiple attempts to score and catch up.
bonus: evan mobley is a deterrent and may force the celtics to shoot jumpers. If i was Joe, i'd run alot of early actions to get our shooters (white, jrue, pp, sam) some looks. if someone like Sam or white is on a heater, mobley's vaunted shotblocking doesnt matter.

The Celtics need to keep their foot on the pedal. Rotation is necessary because you don’t want Horford to play king extended minutes rotate Horford, with Kornet, and Neemas Queetas.

I am not worried about the Cleveland Cavaliers they score most of their FG% from their front court from Donovan Mitchell and Jarrett Garland, as long as the Celtics play excellent defense and don’t play foolish and turn the ball over and minimize their fouls they can beat the Cavaliers.
