    Thanks for sharing.
We have a bunch of accounts as well that should probably be cleaned up one day.
When we both worked full time we each got payed into our own accounts and then payed into a joint account every month to split expenses and joint savings 50-50.
We also had Separate checking accounts and savings accounts for each rental property that we had. Rent was directly deposited into the checking and autopay was setup cover mortgage, taxes and insurance The cash flow rolled over into the savings accounts . We never touched any income from the properties until we sold them. This set up made it really easy for us to track how each property was doing and make sure each property was holding its own.

Oooohhh! That is a great setup for the rental properties, and I like how you had your own system for managing money together. I don't think we have the mental capacity to have separate accounts. I'm a lazy budgeter and he doesn't like to budget, so one big money pile does the trick for us.

I'm trying to convince my boyfriend to just have a joint account and credit card for our joined spending but he doesn't want to lol. It'd be so much easier. Love this setup.

Yes! That would be very easy, but sometimes we’re just set in our ways. 😂

I finally started collapsing down my accounts. I got it down to 2 banks - local credit union and capitalOne. I keep my grocery and blow money separate from my main bill paying credit union account. I started using YNAB this year and I love it. I would evaluate it a couple of times from the past decade, but my many accounts made it mental gymnastics to use. 🥴 Finally I figured it out. 🙌🏽
I have some categories a month ahead, but not all. I am going to work on that next year. I see how easy it makes budgeting from your video. I’m in my budget every day looking over my nickels. 😂 I’m also realizing that I may need to change some of my focus. I shouldn’t be saving for house painting in 7 years when I have my cat and car needing money within the next 3 months. I’ll figure it out. 🤷🏽‍♀️ I’m a single mom with a single income.

I love this comment! YNAB is definitely more complicated to use with 1,000 accounts. I love how you’re shifting your priorities for the things that you have going on right now. Once those are taken care of, you can pick back up with the long term goals. You got this!
