MacBook Air A1466 Trackpad Not Clicking FIX!

Hey everybody, welcome back today I’m going to show you a super simple and quick fix for this MacBook Air A1466. The problem is that the click does not work but the tap and the trackpad works, it is just not clicking. So, we start by removing the cover with a pentalope 5 screwdriver and remove 10 screws, and what you find is a little screw in the middle right under the battery. The screw is the one that gives the trackpad a lift and does the click, with a torx 5 screwdriver you can tighten it until you start hearing the click. And that is as simple as it gets. And that’s what’s going on today at PC911.

I was told by the apple help line to fix the trackpad would cost me £320.00 pleased to have found this info. It was 5 minute work and the cost of a screw driver which costed £ 3.00. Thanks a lot

Hi. Are you still there? I fixed my trackpad click with your method 3 days ago, and now I am having problems with my battery draining too quickly. It is a new battery. Is it possible that I did something wrong? Is it possible to over tighten the screw, and that caused pressure on the battery?

What do you mean by not being able to select? Tap works by just clicking although you cannot highlight or other such things using tap.
