Well played. One of my favourite solos is on Octopuses Garden. But this shows how great the Beatles really were and how they deserve their status of the best. Individually they were great but as a group they were out of everyone's leugue

Hi! If you search the web you’ll find different speculations around it. Some people believe it’s a George solo, due to some melodic bits, some people argue it’s John’s, cause lots of John’s solos contain double-steps, and in the Beatle Bible forum there’s even people saying that it sounds like a Paul Solo, cathartic such as Taxman and others. There is a video of them recording it and in it, you see both John and George playing the Gibson Sg, which is known to have been the guitar used in the solo. But if you ask me, I believe it sounds to me like a solo George played but since it’s been overdubbed, possibly John overdubbed it!

Hello Rodrigo, I suggest reading the description before commenting: “Before anything else, I should point out, that I was sure to put "The End" as one of the 10 solos, but I realized it deserved a separate video. It goes without saying but I could've chosen from a myriad of different solos from different eras, from "Till There Was You" to "Nowhere Man" or even, "The Night Before", but these 10 are the ones I elected, and I hope you like to watch it.” The point of this video isn’t to find the correct or definitive list, as that’s completely subjective, that’s why it’s my video. If you feel like creating your own list, go ahead! Yet, i didn’t choose good morning good morning, because i felt like favouring different kinds of solos and good morning feels closely in tone and performance to “taxman”, both being played by Paul. And and your bird can sing doesn’t have a solo, it’s the main riff of the song… Have a nice day!
Yawn. Here’s a real Beatles mystery. How did they write so many great songs while hardly ever using a minor flat five ( or half diminished) chord - which is present in so many standards. And, who can name an instance when it was used?
hi paul! george used diminished and half chords a bunch in his solo career, on songs like my sweet lord, isn’t it a pity and others. now regarding the beatles, one that comes to mind is michelle, right on the “go together well/vont tres bien ensemble” but i’m not sure now it’s diminished or half diminished… and another one is i want you she’s so heavy, but it’s augmented not diminished, i think. anyhow, maybe someone will comment with a song in mind hahah 😬

Well done! But you gotta tell me something...I noticed all your left-handed guitars had backwards lettering on the headstocks. I've never seen that before and one of them had a vibrato and even that tailpiece had backwards lettering. Are you really right-handed and filming in a mirror? Regardless, I enjoyed your vid!

If you search the web you’ll find different speculations around it.
Some people believe it’s a George solo, due to some melodic bits, some people argue it’s John’s, cause lots of John’s solos contain double-steps, and in the Beatle Bible forum there’s even people saying that it sounds like a Paul Solo, cathartic such as Taxman and others.
There is a video of them recording it and in it, you see both John and George playing the Gibson Sg, which is known to have been the guitar used in the solo.
But if you ask me, I believe it sounds to me like a solo George played but since it’s been overdubbed, possibly John overdubbed it!

Yawn. Here’s a real Beatles mystery. How did they write so many great songs while hardly ever using a minor flat five ( or half diminished) chord - which is present in so many standards. And, who can name an instance when it was used?
hi paul! george used diminished and half chords a bunch in his solo career, on songs like my sweet lord, isn’t it a pity and others. now regarding the beatles, one that comes to mind is michelle, right on the “go together well/vont tres bien ensemble” but i’m not sure now it’s diminished or half diminished…
and another one is i want you she’s so heavy, but it’s augmented not diminished, i think. anyhow, maybe someone will comment with a song in mind hahah 😬
