    I enjoy this content a shit ton more than half the stuff here in Victoria, possibly because I’m from North of the Border and I’m not a fan of these Victorians and the shit they talk…..
    keep up the good work.

      Thankyou so much mate… tell the other Victorians!! 😂😂
      I love Backchat because in WA it’s like the best podcast that is a positive escapism from the negativity of the east. Schoey and Skeeter are a great duo. The banter is great, us Eagles (my team) and Dockers nuffies love it. It brings WA together 👍

      @@2_pelicans mate one channel you should avoid is a guy called “Kaleen” lol.
      This guys is a swans nuffy, but he is super pro Collingwood and a super anti-Eagles flog 😂 (he hates us). It makes absolutely no sense because Swanny boys are super nice in general. He must be an exception to the rule.
      The worst AFL channel = Kaleen
      My favourite AFL channel = Backchat
      Kaleen is a channel that would be like Greta Thunberg if she became an AFL fan.

    Good content gents.
    I’m not sure ‘a little bit wet’ will be much of a benefit to Freo though given Sydney kicked 98pts in the pissing rain against the Giants last weekend.

    Southwest sharks instead of busselton stingers. Could be Bunbury/Busselton

    • @BDub2024
      @BDub2024 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      South West Thunder. Needs to be based in Bunbury and Mandurah (Peel). Bunbury is close enough to Perth metro and rest of south west. Mandurah is only an hour from Bunbury and accessible from the rest of Perth. Being connected to Mandurah will give it more support, but it may hurt their south west support. It will also hurt Fremantle Dockers fan base. Busselton is too far from Perth, despite those areas increasing in population. You have to use Bunbury, along with rail facilities and it will be a comfortable 100 minute drive from Perth CBD.

      @@BDub2024 I agree with you on one hand. On the other hand Busselton has the airport equipped with a runway for big planes from interstate, they could run a few planes from Jandakot or Perth for WA fans. Let’s be honest, Mandurah is a hole and most people I know from Bunbury would rather drive 30 mins to Busselton than to Mandurah…. Also how hard would it be to extend the train tracks from Bunbury to Busselton? It would have many benefits for locals beyond just the footy

      @@milesnerva7162 Yes but Busselton to Bunbury isn't far. If you're going to get people coming from Perth then they won't go to Busselton, but some may come from Perth's southern suburbs.

    • @BDub2024
      @BDub2024 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@milesnerva7162 I don't think people would fly from Perth to the match. Only the very wealthy. There won't be a rail from Mandurah to Bunbury for 30 years if at all. Bunbury to Busselton never. There isn't the population in the south west and to make it worse its spread out over a large distance. While Busselton is central its further from Perth. I think that having it at Mandurah means that people in south west won't feel its their club and vice versa. Mandurah is a sleepy town and I'm not convinced the fans will embrace watching a footy team. But utilising Mandurah makes any south west team more feasible. It is one of the fastest growing areas in Australia. But certainly not perfect. South West Thunder.

    My view is that the club should be giving a premiership memento to all the players on the list. The club then gives acknowledgement to the players on their list for their role in delivering a premiership. The AFL gives the medal to those that played on the day (or alternatively those that played in the finals series). Quite different. Acknowledgement to all the players by the club is the right thing to do.

    The guys that play on the day should get the medal as normal, then all of the squad and staff members should get a ring. It is fair as it is the whole club that gets the team to the GF. Every year there is a heart break for someone going out that played all year and golden opportunity for another coming in via injury that was not good enough to crack the best 22 every week. Lets be honest every GF there are also players that barely contribute to the win, but still get the glory so the argument that it is the 25 on the day that won it is void .
    Out of curiosity how much is the GF medal worth $ wise as they were saying the AFL are not keen on the ring because they estimate they would cost around $50k each which seems excessive to me .

    • @BDub2024

      I reckon everyone that plays the finals probably should receive it by the AFL. Its all about a mindset. People get used to things. I reckon the club should give everyone on the list a presentation. It could be a medal, or framed photo with everyone's signatures etc. Everyone should be acknowledged by the club. Its really important. Its alright for guys that played 10 years to say that they don't want stuff. But for guys that sacrificed and then were cut, they deserve something.

  • @BDub2024

    The biggest injury list is Richmond Eagles Brisbane Fremantle. i think we're almost at tipping point, without enough skill to replace players. Even guys like Ryan and Sheed are just underdone.

      I reckon it can be also organised by the players association or the actual footy club itself. The club should recognise all the players and present them with something. will need sign off by AFL or will come under salary cap. It doesn't need to be too expensive.

    Darwin team isn't sustainable. The get small crowds at the game, with many of them being freebies. No corporate facilities. No one will want pay for premium seating. There isn't the wealth for locals to even be able to go to all the home and away matches. So you play them out of Cairns Darwin Alice??? Darwin Nomads? You already have the NSW Qld teams, plus Tassie and a handful of Melb clubs that aren't sustainable. Half the teams. Then you have Eagles Essendon Coll having lots of wealth. But for what purpose. Basically they just hand it back over to the poorer clubs who then are given better recruiting rights. Sooner or later the strong clubs will put a lot of pressure on the AFL to allow them to use their money for success. Darwin will just weaken the competition. If they want to, just send Gold Coast and Brisbane to play home and away matches against Melb teams in the NT each year. If home and away against Melb based teams then NT will end up having six matches against consistently the same teams. That's fair enough and will allow clubs to develop fan bases if its a signed commitment.
