Thank you so much for this video I've been looking all over the place for proper advice, I'm currently in my first year of my general accounting degree and would like to touch the waters of education to see if its for me before doing PGD in internal auditing and get sucked by the world of commerce.
Hi @mosibudi ramalepe, i am a qualified artisan welder and i am interested in education. I don't know if my red seal falls under diploma or does it even qualify to do a PGCE?
I don’t think so as PGCE is an post grad in education... but you can use your initial degree to apply for another undergraduate, you can also get some of your modules credited
Please help. Life orientation does not show up as a teaching subject when I try to apply for the funza lushaka bursary and i am registered to teach life orientation
Hey everyone, Please assist me with other institutions that's offer long distance learning and PGCE as well, I tried to make an application at NWU and it's already closed. I'm currently doing ND Accounting at Durban university of Technology at the moment.
Thank you for this video. Question: say I have a degree in Education already in Primary, but I want to qualify for Secondary teaching, is it possible to obtain a PGCE in Secondary & FET?
PGCE requires you two have 2 teaching subjects( that they have in high school) already so I think you need to just do b.Ed, add the subjects that you wanna teach
Yes, provided that you meet the requirements. Check through UNISA, codes for local and international students are different so you’ll need to read through their requirements
Unfortunately there's is NO demand for French teachers in South Africa, in fact there's NO demand for teachers at ALL in South Africa. Have you considered other options? If you have an accounting degree you can qualify for a Visa to work in South Africa (Critical Skills)
So informationative thank you. I have two questions 1: For your practical, do you receive a stipend? 2: Job security, do you get placed after graduating or you still seek for employment?
Hi. I have a BTech in Biotechnology and a BTech in Quality Management. I want to become a Teacher. After ten years in the alcohol production industry I've discovered that it's not for me. So will I be able to teach Life Sciences (Biology), and maybe Natural Sciences and perhaps Math?
