thank you for the videos gregory. the last paradox is exactly what happened to me. my now ex, broke up with me early this year (after a 3 years relationship) after telling me that she has cheated on me with two others for a while (each one separately) and then she left me for a third one. so i was cheated on three times. and even though this year has been hell for me i can still say that i am glad that this has happened because as you said in the end of the video what i have gained is growth. it is the case that in darkness one sees that which still shines and what i saw in this hellish year is that it's best to focus on what truly has value such as watching these videos and learning philosophy and being productive and to challenge myself and to exercise and to make sure my apartment is clean and to remind my family that i love them....... your videos have been an aid in my recovery, thank you.
@@GregoryBSadler yes indeed. i've been watching your videos ever since march this year, 3 videos a day if i can. i must say though, i used to tell my ex who is also from milwaukee, that the only reason i would go to milwaukee is to visit her and you gregory :)
I like Catullus' poems for the very reason that love is a paradox. "I am in love and it's killing me" seems to reflect the risks involved in love relationships vs the proper Greco-Roman idea of arranged marriages and love that must be worked at over time.

+Anekantavad I like his poems for that, and for their frankness.
Yes -- these sorts of paradoxes keep popping up across cultures, and through history
