Sureguard is my go to for dormant burmuda in round one. Coupled with round up and it’s excellent. It’s also great on poa if you can time it right in the fall. If it’s semi dormant, it’ll put it into dormancy.
great overview! FWIW I have a centipede lawn north of atlanta, I had a severe kyllinga infestation that was totally matted , i used Celero couple years back and it destroyed in completely. now this year's lawn goal is knocking out the star of bethlehem and grape hyacinth this spring.
I am dealing with Poa Annua in my cool season grass. My grass is a mix of BG and Rye and Tall Fescue. I am experimenting with my own mix and seeing if I can find some results with knocking down the PA. Currently using a mix of Sulfentrazone, Ethofumesate, Triclopyr4, Drive XLR8. I am usually making a 2 gallon mix and putting this down with my backpack sprayer. going to wait 4 or 5 days and then do a second spray. I did put down Prodiamine granular in the middle of February and planning to put down a second application in the next few days.
For for a rd 1 or rd application where your doing a blanket appl and targeting broadleaf and grassy weeds in bermuda, your go to would be Specticle or Prodiamine, combined with a 2-4 product, but what is your go to to add for the grassy weeds (thinking affordable on blanket applications). Oak trees are very sensitive to MSM, so I try to stay clear of it unless the yards im treating for that day have no trees. I get good results on broadleaf with Speedzone red, but my grassy weeds are still present unfortunately. For bad yards in can do the Celcius/certainy application, but those are $$ appls that I try to avoid if possible. Oh...and unrelated....today I went (drove 3 hours) to pick up my newwest piece of equipment....GOT ME A FERRIS Z1!! Excited
I use specticle flo in the fall and haven’t used it in the summer. The prodiamine in the spring doesn’t do well on stickers (sandbur). I’ve been wanting to use specticle but have been a little worried. You said 6oz in April. Is that on Bermuda and how is the yards doing that you use that on. I always get a little worried trying new things. Thanks for the content. Keep it up.
Very informative Jason. Your videos are great! Have you ever used Q4 plus? I use it in the summer time and for spring and fall I usually use Speedzone or if I get a patch of wild violet I use 4speedXT
There’s obviously a ton of great info here. But for those of us who are less than smart. Is there some type of website we can go into that we can input our grass type and weeds we see and it will give some form of herbicide or combination of herbicides to use? I have zoysia lawn in Western KY and I love it. Was a touch late on prodamine this year so I have weeds to deal with unfortunately. Mostly some Crab, Goose, Foxtail, Poa, and I think Bahia and Sedges or Kalinga. (Please forgive my poor spelling).
Why do you not use Specticle Flo on centipede? Does it damage the roots? I’ve tried it with mixed results on a yard overrun with henbit 6 oz to the acre and it was 3 1/2 acres
Just lyk Quinclorac at a high volume (like a spray hose) without mso doesnt do much to crabgrass. Needless to say dont drop mso in your tank and blanket with it
I have animals and a big area of weeds, I’m concerned that the animals would get sick from the weed killer. So I bought a weed burner instead and it’s cheaper than weed killer!
I can't tell you how much I enjoy your vids/knowledge of lawn care. Great vid!

Preach! He doesn’t know. He only does what the sales rep tells him to.
Excellent overview of some great herbicides. Keep up the good work!
The amount of knowledge bombs in this video 🤯
Thanks for this Jason!
I still got a lot to learn but happy to share what I know
Which is good for weeds and grass to spray on landscaping needs

Those weeds are tough. Blind side would probably be as good as any thing

Very good cautionary statement on MSM!! Thanks forgoing over this!
Cool season homeowner here. Looking forward to more cool season context. Turf type tall fescue in NC.
Great video and walk thru, out of all the products which are the ones applicable for cool season grass, e.g., KBG ?

What to use to treat grass in central Texas most likely St Augustine.
4 treatments per year what chemicals would you go with.

Will you start doing fertilizer videos?
Great video! Tks!

I haven't tried q4 plus
Q4 is garbage.
@@T1up4me12385 works just fine for me.
What do you use to control grassy weeds in bermuda. I believe I have some clumpy fescue (Not poa) and quackgrass. Thank you!
Tribute total or certainty. Katana if it's rye grass. I'm not too familiar with quackgrass

How much does that Harrell’s nonionic surfactant run for?
Do you have a sample of a lawn care chemical contract Cell I’d be willing to purchase an outline

4 apps a 3oz + Simazine in 2&3 @ 48oz/a.
What do you suggest to control Bermuda grass in Zoysia?
Fusilade II
@@ChandlerhopsonYes. For only suppressing it. Takes years.
Thanks for giving the mixing ratio of Change Up per gallon. Gonna try and kill Oxalis in Centipede.
I was hoping you would have included Fahrenheit. I heard it’s a good celcius substitute
I haven't tried it yet
Any suggestions for 'Star of Bethlehem'?
Sulfentrazone will knock it out.
Which one tastes the best though. Thats what we are really wanting to know
I drink a lot of Surge.
What about spurge
Change up

Way better to use low volume and a medium droplet for crab
XTS is great for chinch bugs

Depends on the animals and chemicals
