I am getting an error when I want to use the "Convert to Mesh Body" function. The error message says; "Grouping facets into faces failed for one or more bodies". I only have one graphics body in the entire Solidworks file, which is imported with the settings you showed (graphics body). How do I solve this problem?
Seems like your geomtry is a bit complex for grouping facets into faces you can try decimate mesh by decreasing mesh if it is more refined or try to use segmented meshes.
ı am getting an error when ı try to extruded cut, it says "The feature cannot completed because you cannot merge mesh geometry to regular geometry. If applicable, please uncheck 'merge result' to create this feature" What Should I do????
Hi, I am having a problem with making a STL to Solid body when Importing. The File must be to large and is taking so long that it does not work. Any fixes for this problem, thanks
Solidworks 2022 is good for STL editing and didn't gave much errors like previous version because it can directly edit mesh. Blender is Good But if you need accuracy then I think Solidworks is good too.
Finally found a real explanation. Thank you!
Been trying to find a video like this for a while. Perfect length and right to the explanation great job
Finally found the real explanation after watching so many videos...Thanks bro..
I am really glad that I found this video
This was a great video. Thank you very much!

Can I know how to unfold using mesh method. Is it possible to make it? Thanks
you have to convert it into surface then you will be able to unfold it.
@@solidworksandansystutor can I know to unfold radius part
Is the mesh modelling available only in recent upgrades of solidworks?
Yup, it is only in Solidworks 2022 in you can directly edit the mesh model.
Well it seems to be working in my student SW 2020 edition as well
So helpful! Thank You!
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for making this nice tutorial. You are a great teacher!
Thank you.

Which version of solidworks you are using ?
@@solidworksandansystutor i got the same problem i use solidwork 2021 version
I have the same problem in 2020 version
Truly excellent video! Thank you.
thanks
Can i do it with 3d scan mesh data stl to surface body?
yes it can be done on 3d scanned mesh data
This does not work for complex surfaces, only on dumb basic parts that we could rebuild in a few minutes...
Yes exactly. I need to convert something like 3d human face Photogrametry scanned to work in Solidcam 5 axis. Any suggestions please?
Did you ever find a solution?
@@Rohan3CAV nope. This works only on very basic planar geometry is useless 95% of the time
is there anyway i can change the dimensions of a part i downloaded?
You can scale the body
Weldon sir
So weldon sir,
My system settings under import does not look like this
thank you man!
welcome.
Great videos. Please recommend some books/link on how to read drawing for DFM, angles of projections etc or make a video.
Thank you!

It is a organic shape (hand) for a custom keyboard molded to the hand. The group facets does not work for my use.
thanks mate.
welcome.
just got bunch of errors as allways so i just gave up and edited it in blender i have solidworks certificate btw XDDD

Not working
Lost interest. Boring intro and jawing on. Switched off before, if, you even got to the point.
Thank you!
