- PLACEBO - PROTECT ME FROM WHAT I WANT
It's the disease of the age
It's the disease that we crave
Alone at the end of the rave
We catch the last bus home
Corporate America wakes
Coffee republic and cakes
We open the latch on the gate
Of the hole that we call our home
Protect me from what I want
Protect me from what I want
Protect me from what I want
Protect me protect me
Maybe we're victims of fate
Remember when we'd celebrate
We'd drink and get high until late
And now we're all alone
Wedding bells ain't gonna chime
With both of us guilty of crime
And both of us sentenced to time
And now we're all alone
Protect me from what I want
Protect me from what I want
Protect me from what I want
Protect me protect me
Protect me from what I want
Protect me from what I want
Protect me from what I want
Protect me protect me
Protect me from what I want
Protect me from what I want
Protect me from what I want
Protect me protect me
Protect me from what I want
Protect me from what I want
Protect me from what I want
Protect me protect me
Protect me from what I want
(Protect me protect me)
Protect me from what I want
(Protect me protect me) - เพลง
Protège-Moi De Mes Désirs
C’est la blessure de notre ère
Celle qui nous manque à en crever
Seul lors de la descente du trip
On chope le dernier bus
Wall Street s’éveille
Coffee Republic et gâteaux
On ouvre le loquet de la grille
Du taudis qu’on appelle maison
Protège-moi de mes désirs
Peut-être sommes-nous les victimes du destin
Souviens-toi lorsque nous faisions la fête
Nous buvions et planions toute la nuit
Et maintenant nous sommes tout seul
Les cloches nuptiales ne sonneront pas
Tous deux jugés coupables
Et tous deux condamnés à vivre
Et maintenant nous sommes tout seul
Protège-moi de mes désirs

I used to obsess over this song...
Over this song? More like over this band...period!
me too :-)
great song and great band
I love this sing because it perfectly describes our society today.
+Ciel Phantomhive well...it's about going into a mental hospital and trying to get out but considering how jacked up our society is I can see why you would make that connection.
kailyn pavlicek Either one works.
Ciel Phantomhive true
kailyn pavlicek its about rehab isnt it?
Can kind of relate love this
I love this song

more than a song it looks like a prayer
remember nothing to say
remember nothing to play
Two stories told
Same yet different
Yet which will you believe
Which side to choose
Both dangerous in there own way
One hides it's lies in honey and tricks
One hides in plain sight you needed something so i gave it
But now you see the truth or a version of it so again which to choose
Danger and safety?
Freedom and a cage?
God is the only one who can protect you from the evils you want! and in his grace you will actually want things that will help you grow and make you better...
God is the greatest thief of joy. His demands and restrictions and guilt is designed to enslave the human soul.
Freedom is found in personal responsibility, not the ramblings of a mythical scapegoat, judge, and jury.
God represents the worst of us, the poison in our souls that separates us from our common man based on judgments of sin.
Sin is the purest expression of humanity, free from the shackles of artificial morality passed down as gospel from one bowing scraping sheep to the next.
There is another version with totally different words.
Existence was forced upon me...I had no say in the matter...most unfortunately..!!
...because it has had it's way with my pride...it's hostile and so impersonal..!!
So I just want to stay numb until it's finally fucking over!!!
This is so weird in English.

Isn't it "the hovel we call our home" instead of "the hole that we call our home" ?
i don't think so
I think thats the direct french translation?
