Our Dog Shows How to Blend into the Environment

A dog rolls (often in something we find unpleasant) to try and disguise its own scent and blend into the environment. One of the reasons it does this is to feel safer. If you were to shampoo your dog afterwards, he/she will be inclined to roll again because we place an unnatural smell on them. I choose to shower Bilbo with just water until I can no longer smell the unpleasant smell, but as a dog’s sense of smell is far superior to a human’s, he will still be able to smell it and be happy about it.
