My partner Mark Schulze was a camera operator at this shoot (the angle from above). It was the first live concert streamed to the Internet (via Akamai). This was a historical event. Kudos to Sammy Hagar not only for his wit, charm, musical talents and great tequila brand, but also for being a digital-world visionary. Mark still talks about smoking a cigar together with Mr. Hagar over a shot of Cabo Wabo Anejo after the concert wrapped.
@@bb-gc2tx It's very difficult to do and takes a lot of technical know-how. Plus there's a lot of heavy equipment to haul around and set up, tear down, rinse, repeat. You have to really be passionate about it to do it.
Been a Hagar fan since I seen him on the "I can't Drive 55" tour back in the early 80's. definitely one of the most prolific talents in music history. It's all about the music and good times. Thanks for all the memories and enjoyment you brought to my life Sammy! May you Live long and continue to prosper!
Sammy Hagar you are the champion of the world. thank you for all the Kick-Ass music you gave us Sammy Hagar only thing I wish I wish I could have seen you play I've never seen you in concert that's my only regret probably in life but I enjoy your music very much thank you.
Going to see him and The Circle this month - Sept 2017. Saw him 34 years ago in Philly and I was blown away! He is incredible live and seems like a good dude. One of my all time favorites. Sammy rocks.
The first time I heard you I was 12. It was Montrose, with my first Colt 45 Malt licra, and a joint of Black African with my friend Pat Elder Hare. Been following ever since. And I did have red hair!! Happy birthday Red Rocker!!!
Sammy has been rockn my life since the first time I am fortunate to have seen him sing with Montrose at Winterland in the early seventies. The red rocker kicks ass.
Wow what a party, his voice is still very crisp here, his band and set list has changed, but he is still rocking.....I hope to be doing half what he does at his current age in 2023, I remember listening to his trans Am album in the library in our high school in "85"
Oct. 1999. Seen The Circle Aug. 2014 at The Tulalip and for a guy hitting 70 in a couple years, Sammy sounded GREAT. I loved it. He can't hit some high pitch vocals like he's in his twenties. He's probably lucky he hasn't had to have his vocal cords operated on. I bet Sammy will be performing on stage doing what he does best the moment he dies. That will be a great send off. I think, he wouldn't want it any other way... It will be a sad day... He drinks a lot, probably croak from heart failure. but I think he has some years left...

@jon luini Thanks for that clarification! Maybe it was the first from Mexico? There was something "first" about it, but now my memory is hazy.
another example of why ill never understand why more people dont become cameramen you get to do some real cool 💩 lol

Yes, that was an interesting comment. Perhaps he saw a lot of evil during the Van Halen days and needed a cleansing of sorts.
