    Best tips ever! (Many were an idea in my head for a future segment!) I also prefer nesting needed pots rather than collapsible silicone (STS). A collapsible sink is about the only folding silicone I want to fight with.😅🤣 And still amazing to me is that the can opener is not on all camp essential lists.
    I would also suggest the rollercam tighteners for holding down shelters. And glow in the dark/reflective rope.

    Been a fan of your content for a while and happy to see updates from you. I will be purchasing a few things you suggested. I hope to keep the spirit of frugal tent camping alive for years to come, just like you and your family. Thank you for the content!!

    Heres one for ya... put pool noodles on your guy lines for tarps and tents to make them more visible and avoid tripping or running into them around camp.

    • @moderntentcamping
      @moderntentcamping  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@BrianSmith-ql5nj That’s a great tip. We use to trip over them often and, in fact, ripped a Eureka Timberline tent rain fly when we tripped over its guy line. Over the years, we have learned how to set up camp to minimize guy line problems and we have learned to be more careful around them. But the pool noodles is a great tip. Thanks for watching.

Although we don't camp out much these days, I always find something I can use from your videos. These are all excellent tips for having a successful camping trip. My favorite was the static and dynamic cords tip. I had no idea of that difference. It's easy when you know how, lol. Thanks once again for sharing your experience in these videos. As you know, I’ve mentioned several of these tips in other videos but I decided to put them all together in one video I have to confess that my video ideas are coming slower and my production is slower. And I see that my videos are now attracting much fewer viewers. Those old campground reviews were very popular but we can’t get out there anymore. The only place I can now review is our local senior center. They play some good domino games there. . Bless you for being such a loyal supporter.

    With the bad back and knees, I’ve abandoned hammering stakes and moved on to 1/2” lag bolts about 10 or 12 inches long and a lil cordless impact gun. Works amazing. I’ll say this about the can opener… it always finds its way into the house when the ones we buy at the store inevitably fail. Great product. I have a massive Kodiak tent and It definitely doesn’t fit every campsite, but man is it comfy. Good to see you again sir, thanks for being a resource.

      @@ProbablyStonedComments Hey man, Good to hear from you again. I hear you about those knees and back. I’ll have t check out those lag bolts. Do you have a Nogent? I’ll bet that Kodiak is heavy - especially after a rain? How do you dry it after your trips?

    • @ProbablyStonedComments
      @ProbablyStonedComments 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@moderntentcamping Yeah the Kodiak is heavy. I split up the poles into two different military duffels with the shoulder strap and I keep the tent itself in a big plastic container with wheels and a pull handle. I’ve been lucky enough to not have to deal with it wet just yet, but yeah it’s a concern for sure. I love the Nogent, I bought it on your recommendation and named it after you🤣.
