I admire your ability to have this much focus, i couldn’t last 10 minutes without trying a loop or a barrel roll, but im a kid so i guess my brain works that way lol
Gotta love a simple to the point video. I’m finding that world map plans really don’t suit Concorde, turns onto final approach way too sharp or approaches to the runway are too short, only way I’ve found to auto land with any success is to make my own flight plan.
Oh I thought you had to turn the approach mode first but obviously no ^^ What's the difference between the two? Approach just going to line up with the runway but not land?
There’s a lot of videos like Swiss001 that are very fun to watch but your videos are so relaxing and super simple to learn stuff, definitely the best tutorials on TH-cam. But for all y’all that want plane craziness, check out Swiss001, he does daily flight sim videos on crazy landings, reaction videos, crazy plane mods, and similar stuff
Time to trust that autopilot hahah. I hope it doesn't screw up. Last time I used the autopilot was on the 747. Mid flight I went to get some groceries trusting the autopilot. Biggest mistake ever. It took a big U turn while I was gonne and started going the wrong way. And I thought pilots could sleep with autopilot on 😛🤣
Is this a proper ILS landing controlle by ATC because thats the part I find dificult, dont seem to have enough time to get the thing down, say i'M AT 60000' aTC say descend to 8000' by the time she comes down I've overshot the runway !
Dunno if I missed it in the video, but does the aircraft automatically enter the Nav frequency like some others if you entered a flight plan, or does it need to be done by hand at some point?
The alarm that you are getting sometimes has nothing to do with the ILS. It is an alarm when your throttle goes to idle and the landing gear are not down.
Unfortunate limitation of the simulator. For a plane like Concorde, what is needed is to have two sets of autopilot configurable rates. One for high speed and one for low speed. Currently, if you increase the sensitivity of the autopilot so ILS is more accurate, you will get horrible rolling when you are supersonic. The current configuration is the best compromise that can be had whe MSFS at the moment.

Yes mate. It reflects in the FMC, whatever you put into the ILS panels will reflect on the FMC. If you want to be 100% sure of making the landing, input the frequency for your runway of choice into both active and standby on both panels before you even take off.
Hey is the flight sim down for anyone else at the moment as of 7pm U.K. time? 🇬🇧. I am able to load up the game but it won’t allow me to connect and just says offline and has the market place greyed out!. My internets fine hence leaving this comment. It makes you paranoid your accounts been banned for some weird reason or something, really odd it wont let me connect either. I’ve exited the game and reloaded it with the same outcome!. Ah man fxck sake I just went to my hanger.. area to look at my planes before you plan a flight and it’s showing the premium deluxe planes in my hanger but I haven’t purchased the premium deluxe upgrade yet!. Wtf ah god I dunno what to do!.

Quite a weird one, on the starboard side it's British Airways livery and on the port side it's Singapore Airlines....

Where do you set the ILS frequency? Somewhere in the FMC or on the dashboard somewhere?

Yes mate.

For concorde to autoload, I set all radio frequencies to the ils, first in the fmc then both standby navs
