    Hello! I really like the process you're showing. Really clear and to the point. (I also like the humor of the video) The only thing I would like to know is where are you getting the textures you use for the details?

    • @PrimalVFX
      @PrimalVFX  2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hi! Thank you, much appreciated 👍⚡
      The textures are mainly coming from megascan library.

      @PrimalVFX ohh i understand, the megascans library is amazing. I love you content. If theres a possibility for a terrain (gaea) tutorial I would be eternally grateful!!

      @DestroVFX yep megascans are top notch! 👌 It's funny today I was watching stuff on gaea. I've used it a bit but not an expert though. But maybe I will do an introduction tutorial or something like that. Thanks for the 💡!

      @@PrimalVFX My pleasure! I've been searching for good quality tutorials on the software but haven't been able to find any.

    Very nice man! If you're lazy, like me, and don't like to UV unwrap complex models, you can always use a triplanar projection. No one will ever notice ;)

      Absolutely true-triplanar projection is a lifesaver for those 'lazy' days! 😄 I've actually made quite a few tutorials featuring them, so feel free to check those out. Triplanar for the win! 🙌

    This is great if you have perfectly layout UVs, but that's usually not the case with bought 3D models, so a version of this video focused on triplanars would be great, although much more complex networks

    • @PrimalVFX
      @PrimalVFX  วันที่ผ่านมา

      Totally get that! 👍 Honestly, it’s a rare treat to work with a model that actually has good UVs. 😅 But no worries, I've already got tutorials covering triplanar setups, so feel free to check those out! 🎥✨

    metalness shoud be either 1 or 0

    • @PrimalVFX
      @PrimalVFX  วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      @monocore You're totally right, PBR rules say metalness is 1 or 0. 💯 But after 20 years in CG, I’ve learned that sometimes you gotta cheat a little to get the right feel. It’s art meeting science! 🎨⚙️

      Exact if you scratch paint you don't reveal 50% paint 50% metal. It's metal or not. Dielectric or conductive
      two different types of materials: dielectric and conductive. Dielectric materials are insulators and conductive materials conduct electricity. Examples of dielectric materials include glass, plastic, wood, ceramic, leather and so on. Examples of conductive materials include steel, copper, gold - in other words: metals.

    The tutorial i needed. Right on time 🔥. Hey skart one thing i want to ask is, i bought S2M plugin from the gumroad, and i am not able to use it in maya 2025. Is it not supported yet ?

    • @PrimalVFX
      @PrimalVFX  2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Thank you! Glad you've appreciated it 👍🙏 For S2M it is not supported yet for Maya 2025 (as described in the product description). I'm using Pymel lib and it is not yet ported on Maya 2025, so for now I can't do nothing. It is a question of time. It will be probably in the near future.
