I’m not an introvert but I can strongly relate. I had difficulties with the easement of the lockdown because I’ve been avoiding going out and making plans with my friends. I’ve gotten so used to having cosy weekends with my partner 🙃

Gosh when you talked about lockdown lifting and your feelings about plans/ friends it hit me so hard. I have felt like that for so long. I don’t have many friends and certainly not the close best friends like when I was younger. Making friends as an adult is so difficult and very lonely sometimes.

Gemma I am the exact same. I’m 28 and I was worried about the fact I had absolutely no plans out of lockdown. The inner voice was like ‘people will think you are weird, people will think you are a loner, people will think you have no friends’ but the truth is I love being at home. This lockdown has made people think that because they haven’t been out in so long that the norm is to go out but when you are a home bod you shouldn’t change just because society thinks you should. I was actually crying with you when you were talking because I have never resonated so much with what someone said about lockdown so much and it honestly it was heartwarming to hear someone be so honest about it. You saying this has really made me realise I don’t need to feel bad for feeling this way. I’ll be at home with my snacks, tea and Netflix thank you! 😂 lots of love with the new brand as well ❤️❤️❤️

Your channel feels like home to me. I moved to the UK during lockdown and haven’t been able to make any friends yet, but you feel like a friend and you’ve inspired me to start up my own YT channel so that I can hopefully find my community ☀️ lots of love
You shouldn't feel bad for enjoying staying in and enjoying not having plans and being at home. I used to force myself out all the time over different periods to be sociable and drink etc and I realised because of my anxiety it gave me anxiety if that makes sense. So since I turned 30 I've gone out less and less tbh. I don't like crowds of people and only really enjoy 1 on 1 meet ups with friends and I no longer feel guilty for not doing what everyone else is doing, not having plans and going out because that's not me. Instagram is really bad for guilt tripping people to have plans and look a certain way and show off this ideal side of themselves where they look flawless and are living wonderful interesting lives etc and it's not realistic or maintainable. I don't care about impressing people or showing off. Honestly Gemma you are fine to feel the way you do. It's normal. It comes with age and experience that you end up just pleasing yourself and not caring what others think because that's what I do. I should probably do more and be outgoing and open minded and I try to be that and keep a balance but at the end of the day if I don't go out all day or doing anything it's up to me and there's nothing wrong with that. I love eating good food. Watching TV. Going for walks. Nothing much has changed just because we have come out of lock down. I can honestly say whilst everyone else was decrying how bad lock down was that tbh a lot didn't change for me before or after with my lifestyle. Don't compare yourself to others. You seem like you are a lovely genuine person who's fun and interesting as much as I and we can tell from the Internet and I'm sure you are the same in real life too. Just carry on being you. 😉😊😶

I’m so glad that you said about lockdown easing has made you anxious. I felt the exact same and I felt so alone and like I didn’t fit in and I’ve always been the exact same with friends and plans ect I’ve always been someone that actually prefers to be home. My home is my safe place to I can so relate to you I don’t like to be out and busy all the time I have 2 little girls to so I was never going to rush out with plans but I actually feel normal that you have said this thank you so much for being amazing and helping us all xx
Hi Gemma, I am an introvert to and being bedbound over lockdown I had my partner available to help me and now things are getting back to normal for everybody I completely feel your anxiety, it’s hard to explain but I bet a lot of people are having some type of anxiety with getting back to normal living, it’s very strange and you’re not alone❤️
I understand exactly how you feel! As an introvert I’ve loved staying home and being isolated. But of course I hope businesses and the economy can thrive once again, and most importantly Covid can bugger off!

I totally get the introvert thing. I’m the same, always been the quiet loner growing up. I love being at home and still not one for really socialising. When I do, I literally have 2 friends that I hang out with. I found myself today actually thinking about my future. If I was to get married, my guest list would be so small compared to my bf’s as he’s the opposite lol. But then I thought, doesn’t really matter because I’d have all my family and my best friends there....and save some money 😬

I've had such bad anxiety the passed week and a half to two weeks that it's been giving me tummyaches when I watch gemma and hear her voice it makes my tummyaches go away for awhile. Like I've said before this woman is a gift.

Yeah totally. Many dont like doing things with me because I prefer activities with not much people. Walking the dogs at the beach or in the forest. Watching a film at home or late in the cinema. Eating food in nature rather than in a full restaurant. And also the fact that i only can have like 4 people at the same time around me is a problem with friend groups. But i dont think thia should be a worry for anyone. Extrovert people be with extroverts and intros with intros. Try finding people who enjoy the calmness too. (Probably why we all hang out virtually with Gemma! 🤭🖤)
Whenever I watch a Gemma video it reminds me to drink lemon and ginger water because her skin always looks so healthy ☺️

Don't feel silly us Taurens love our home. Over lockdown my sister kept calling as I was shielding so have been at home for a year. But I love my home love cooking my cats and my TV I would be happy to work from home forever. Us Taureans are creature of habits change makes us anxious. Gemma, I am watching your video and have paused it at 34.01 and switched on my cell phone to say something to you. There is nothing wrong or weird in your choice of lifestyle....nothing. Don't worry about your preferences for hearth and home above "socialising". There's nothing wrong with that. I didn't even think of making any particular plans when we came out of lockdown here. I didn't even realise that I hadn't until you said you were worrying about not doing it It's nothing to worry about. As for any thought of you being an "outsider", you're right in saying you just needed to find the type of people who are like you. Of all the thousands of individuals who have TH-cam channels and who I could choose from to look forward to seeing each week there are only two people who I look out for, and one of them is you. By the way, you don't strike me as being an introvert - not with your own TH-cam channel and so easily talking to thousands of people twice a week. So Gemma, no worries.
Now that I've said what I wanted to say to you, I can return to your video. That strawberry drink does sound yummy!

Gem I feel the exact same about staying in. All I’ve ever wanted was a family and babies, I never wanted to go out and have loads of friends.. I have a handful of friends and sometimes I feel quite alone and down. I spend my evenings alone once my boys are in bed and your vlogs really keep me company 🤍

Being an anxious and depressed extraverted (in the group of people, colleagues, strangers feeling confident enough. outside at least) introvert I love home vlogs. When my favorite you tubers show 100th time of making coffee I really enjoy that or cooking or just chilling or grocery halls - yay, but when it's something out and chaotic 9in my own opinion) I doubt to watch every time.
so, please, for weird people like me your home vlogs are my rock, balm on my heart, wind under my wings after long days outside when I just want to relax and unwind.

I have no friends to make plans with at all and I suffer quite bad with social anxiety and panic disorder. It’s even stopping me from working at the moment.

I’m such a home person and my favourite thing to do is cuddle up on the sofa in a clean home with a candle ❤️. I love my home and garden. I didn't plan to go to any shops, I have no desire to go. I spent 15mins in garden section in B&Q as I was helping my son and fiancee get their garden done. So nice being with my son again. I did get to see a friend we talked until we were so cold we couldn't stand it. I love how open you are. Good luck with your venture x

I’m still like this and love nothing more than being at home and working from home has just reinforced this! I’m dreading the day I have to go back to the office and it’s making me nervous. Definitely understand the feelings about lockdown lifting, I start back to work after being on furlough for 4 months and I’m excited and anxious because we are still so short staffed and last lockdown I was left on my own a lot and it was so stressful, I’m hoping it won’t be like that again and that we get some more staff. I also only started having periods again a year ago after 13yrs on the pill and its taken me like 9 months to realise why I go loopy the week before my period - I get such bad feelings of low self esteem. So it's nice to hear someone else talk about it, thank you 🤍

GEMMA! Can I just say that as soon as you started speaking about your feelings towards the new lockdown lifting, I instantly resonated with you. Just listening to someone else speak the same thoughts as my own was so weightlifting.
