- Well, as the title suggests, join me for a visit to the Model Village, in my own inimitable style! Just a walk around the attraction really. So no timestamps today I'm afraid... It really is a great place to visit, with a fantastic amount of work gone into it. Enjoy! More Babbacombe content coming up during in the week... 👍👍👍

Fantastic bill its certainly changed a bit since we went in early 90's when staying in good old Bickford lane 😁looks so much bigger lots move model's too super stuff thanks for sharing mate

Lovely. Yes, been there too, way back in the 1980's and at other times. I remember one house had a fire.... I think there was a flying saucers cuz of the 'close encounters' movie whenever that was. Yes did Butlins' a few times as a child. Great memories.

Lovely video again Bill, so many memories from when I went as a boy. Nice to see that they have kept some of the older models and displays like Oddicombe beach and the Cliff Railway. Looking forward to more content from Babbacombe and beyond. 👍👍👍

We ladt visited in 2014.Absolutley loved it.We visited it twice once in the day and again on a night.
The only thing is the restraunt was expensive.My mum paid £2.50 for a pot of tea and a scone.
Loved the observation deck.

Hi bill super video, i went there with my parents one time on holiday it was of an early evening so everything was lit up it was wonderful, thanks bill brings back memories, we used to see there white pickup go around with it advertising model village,🙂
Very cool! Id like to have seen it lit up. Perhaps next year, as Ive already been back once again since then with my Granddaughter 👍
hi Bill, the model village gas certainly changed since I last went there There used to be a model of the Walls Ice Cream factory here in Gloucester. I do remember the burning house though.
Yes, I'm sure it has - I don't really remember that much of it myself from years gone by though - other than it was a yearly treat 👍

Hi Bill hope you're well. A most enjoyable virtual walk around Babbacombe model Village, i can remember going there, must have been in the late 60's during a family holiday and being absolutely fascinated by it. As my late father was a keen photographer I expected my Mum has some slides of our visit.

It is ironic that one of the earlier versions of the house on fire ACTUALLY caught fire and burnt down.

Always a good visit. Have you visited the potterries coming down the hill from Babbacombe to Torquay?
They are all gone now! 'The Range' a UK superstore chain, selling cheap homewares has taken its place - Remember them well though - Directly across the road from my Grannies B&B - And my Sons, Mothers, Grandfather, used to be one of the resident potters there, giving displays to the tourists 👍

Kents Cavern, further down - Yes, ben there in the past, and its also on my list for future daytrips - I actually shot A LOT in Babbacombe that day... Its all going to be appearing over the next couple of weeks - If I get a good response to it, then I'll make the caves part of my next excursion 👍

I have never seen a model village for real, all I have seen of model villages is photographs or television.
Thats a shame - Something for your 'Bucket List' then perhaps? Although, I can understand that unless you live near one, its hard to justify a long trip to visit 👍
