The Neo has digital stabilisation in addition to the single axis gimbal, this drone appears to not have any digital stabilisation, that’s the main difference.
Honestly it's mostly a great little drone and I got some decent footage from it but I realised that the Atom 4k with the gimbal was actually only £40 more expensive hence why I sent it back for an exchange. Let me know how you get on with it

I've orderd the dji mini 4 k basic pack for £264,,I was gonna get a cheaper one for under £200,but every review on the cheaper ones I watched was enough for me to realize that if you can't afford a dji then it just aint worth it!

@@neilwhitaker I have some DJI stuff it's absolutely superb 👍! I just didn't want to pay to much for a drone I might crash as a beginner so I've gone for a cheaper brand for my first, till I learn to use it effectively then I'll grab something from DJI 🙂
@@mywildadventures88dji drones are uncrashable so it was a complete waste of money imo. You can buy an air series for the same price and get a much better product. Why not just practise on a simulator if you’re not confident to begin with.
I have the 3 axis gimbal version of the Atom its a terrible camera with a good few issues (I'm on my 4th replacement now after having to send all the others back to potensic for various camera problems and one that would not hold GPS lock) the drone itself fly's fairly well albeit not as smooth as a dji but its OK for its price. I have a Neo and the camera is miles better than the Atom Camera even when i compare the neo footage to others atom footage who haven't had camera issues now don't get me wrong the neo camera isn't the best but its better than the Atom but i much prefer the camera on my dji Mini 3
@will keep fingers crossed dude :) I’m sure I saw a mini on Amazon for less than the one you’ve just bought… BUT I think it only came with one batt :( which as you say in here, you defo want more than one :)

I didn't wanna spend silly money at first really because no doubt at some point, I'll probably crash it or lose it in the sea 😂😂😂😂! The camera on the Atom SE is pretty dam good so if this new one is the same but with a gimbal, I imagine I'll be quite happy with it 🙂
The gimbal tilt is a well known issue on this drone, all,potensic drones, the footage is useless. I’ve been flying drones for over 10 yrs, trust me save your money as nothing compares to DJI there are many drones you can buy refurbished or 2nd hand if you can’t afford new, once you’ve flown a DJI drone you will never go back, do your research on potensic as you will find your wasting your time and money, thank me later
@ I wouldn’t waste my money buying it, I follow many drone channels who have reviewed this drone, it’s a fact you will have gimbal tilt, it’s been an issue for a long time, rendering the footage useless, I’m not disputing the video quality although DJI is far better even on the cheaper models, over the years I’ve wasted money chasing a decent drone, all you will get is false promise and a hole in your pocket, buy once not a number of times, you will have a far better user experience, many manufacturers try to emulate DJI but it’s fair to say many have failed, I’ve a fleet of drones , not all DJI but can say with confidence DJI are the clear winner for reliability, quality.

@@SJMDronesMedia I did expect that as some reviews pointed it out prior to me buying but as long as the footage is steady I'm alright with that (for now). If it isn't steady even with the gimbal, then back it goes 🤣

You should have bought the 3 axis gimbal version of the Atom since it is the gimbal that stabilizes the image.

You got the wrong one, you should have got the 3 axis gimbal version and not the SE

That's a decent little drone. I get some nice smooth footage. The way point mode isn't great but it's still good for the price.

You should have gotten the DJI Mini 2.
I bought an RC2 controller from Amazon. It was sold as new but was an open box model that was registered by someone else. Don't buy DJI from Amazon.

I got the 4K mini around christmas for £191 Black Friday, but yes you could get a dji mini 2s or I recommend the mini 4K.
It's down to the wind and you would not get this with the 3 axis gimbl!
