Great Video Nate. I wanted to clarify on behalf of the Boost: The Boost product won't necessarily hold the target RH longer than the salts, but in many cases, it will still have the ability to hold some moisture long after other packs have dried out.

Been recharging bovida for years!, don’t buy new !, get some scales and weigh it when you recharge with distilled water (only distilled!), for about three days in a sealed type container. Job done.
It's really quite simple. Take 2 containers, 1 big n 1 small. Fill up the small container with distilled water n put in big container. Put your dried out boveda in the big container and seal it. After a few days, take out the pack n weigh it, if its 60 grams, perfect. ✌🏼
You mentioned that some people say, Boveda takes away the smell in whole stored buds. I read somewhere, this is true, but for good reason. Boveda traps the terpene's in the flower with a moisture barrier and they are preserved there. Then when the buds are ground, the flavor and aroma comes out, fresh and strong. I just started using them, so can't say first hand if it works like that, but if it does, it's very cool.
I dont think they are meant to bring the humidity down from like 80%, they work properly when the herbs are added at around that humidity +-5% or so. Curing is best at around 60% and herb wont cure at 50% but ok to freshen up old dry herb up

I disagree. I have tried both for a year or greater, and operating previously in medical cannabis dispensaries, and delivery services , and find Integra is a clearly better product for a few reasons. First, I have a sensitive nose and can't smell it on any of the 100s of jars ive had it in. boveda on the other hand. works fine for about 75/100 jars, but 25/100 leak smell of the pack it self. The boveda is a chemical salt (potassium citrate monohydrate) with water 20-50% RO water and 0-2 % xantham gum. Integra is a natural vegetable based gelatin+glycerin and water. As a grower who takes proper steps to dry and cure my buds, I don't use boveda at all any more and strongly advocate others avoid them as well. Maybe you don't have the nose to smell whats happening, but it leaves a stink in the jars and buds it touches that keen nose will not enjoy. Let the true terpenes shine and use nothing and naturally burp jars and cure to 62% on your own, or boost your buds with integra. my 2 cents. i got no dog in the fight, i purchased and used both, and I can't track down the ig posts, but ive heard growers with clean flower have their buds fail testing after being stored at dispensary using boveda, but not at others (flower was proven clean at multiple other outlets). Question for you guys. Right now I am sitting at 56Rh with a pack of boost 62 in the jar. Do I still need to burp them or do I allow them to reach 62 before doing so? Also how long would that that to reach 62?
The "red/blue" dot indicator on the Integra Boosts doesn't work (or I just got a bad Bunch)! I've used 30+ 55% packs. None of them changed. They work great tho (3-4 month lifespan)!😁 And that smell/taste quality with the Bovidas can be true, but that's after they dry up (I'd guess 5-7 months in complete storage). If you switch them up every 3-4 months you're good. He's right they both work perfectly fine!!!
My only question is what size packet to use for certain size containers?i usually buy an oz at a time, break it in half and store it in 2 medium storage jars from 420 science.420 claims that the medium jars only hold 10 grams but no problem fitting 14 in them.having said that what size packet would be recommended for a jar that holds 14 grams?just bought a 6 pack of the 8gm integra boost packets and wondering if its too big for 14grams or if its too small.any info would be greatly appreciated.
@@thunderjoy7250 It depends on the humidity of your flower. Mine have lasted through 4-6 harvests if you get your stuff down to around 65%-67% on it's own and then throw in the packs. I'm using the term 'recharge' loosely here but the reason being is the assumption that they've lost too much water keeping the herb proper, not the other way around. I think that's the assumption that we're all under. Gather the packs and pit them into a Mason jar.. Take a bamboo chopstick and skewer some orange rhine. Insert into jar so that the Rhine is suspended above the packs never touching them. I usually give it 3 days and bobs your uncle.
@@darthdiggler9914 Thats not good. Only use water and keep the packs out of the water. Orange peel can introduce mold and contaminants... All you need is a big jar and a jar that will fit inside the small jar... then use water not orange peels

True the bags get sticky and waste some resin, but we still get high. Kids these days are so spoiled and worry too much. Trichomes feel no pain, the plant is already dead.
The question is can u rehydrate the Integra packs. They are gelatin and Glycerin so it is doubtful. Look for Bovidia to change construction to deter recharging.
The less you open the container the humidipacks are in, the longer they will last. A container with them opened 12 times in 1 month will go bad about as quickly as one opened 12 times in 6 months. All depends on how long those little packs are exposed to air.

I think he was talking about something else. When cannabis dries out it releases the terpenes and when you open the jar those terpenes that have left into the air will be present in the form of a strong smell. What that means is that properly stored weed will be less smelly when you open your jar because the terpenes are kept in the buds. But when you grind them or smoke them larger amounts of preserved terpenes will be released and you will have stronger smell/taste.
Hey don’t try to rehydrate these things you cheep-skates, just buy a new one. Boost is the way to go. Bovida comes in Unbleached packaging I think that’s where the bad taste comes from.
@@faba1709 Make sure not to contaminate them. You can soak them in DESTILLED water but the best guess for me is to just let them rehydrate from high humidity. @@sacballa_kills_em_wit_facts If they touch the water, it can introduce contaminants. These contaminants can clog the pack and make it inaccurate or ineffective. That can cause mold... Dude, I want your shirt! That's badazz. Where'd you get it?
Question for you guys. Right now I am sitting at 56Rh with a pack of boost 62 in the jar. Do I still need to burp them or do I allow them to reach 62 before doing so? Also how long would that that to reach 62?
What about taste and smell?
How did the long term go? Is there a follow up video or?
The "red/blue" dot indicator on the Integra Boosts doesn't work (or I just got a bad Bunch)! I've used 30+ 55% packs. None of them changed. They work great tho (3-4 month lifespan)!😁
And that smell/taste quality with the Bovidas can be true, but that's after they dry up (I'd guess 5-7 months in complete storage). If you switch them up every 3-4 months you're good. He's right they both work perfectly fine!!!
where is the follow up video?
The big question is, can you smell the difference?
That's what i want to know
They will be less smelly when you open the jar and stronger in taste
My only question is what size packet to use for certain size containers?i usually buy an oz at a time, break it in half and store it in 2 medium storage jars from 420 science.420 claims that the medium jars only hold 10 grams but no problem fitting 14 in them.having said that what size packet would be recommended for a jar that holds 14 grams?just bought a 6 pack of the 8gm integra boost packets and wondering if its too big for 14grams or if its too small.any info would be greatly appreciated.
The 8gram integra packs are good up to one ounce jars.
So that should be fine for your 14 grams
good night, I have a question, if I leave the humidipak inside the jar for a long time it could generate fungi
No, these humidipak's will not generate fungi. They are designed not to :)
kushman green crack dope name that’s my favorite strain 👍🏼
@@GrowersHouseGrowLab how long does a pack last if I'm curing a 300g cannabis pack..
Roughly how often do you think I need to change them
Thanks
@@thunderjoy7250 It depends on the humidity of your flower. Mine have lasted through 4-6 harvests if you get your stuff down to around 65%-67% on it's own and then throw in the packs. (I also use way more than suggested...usually 2 of the 62 gram ones in each 2 gallon jar filled 2/3 or 3/4 of the way. Basically the only ones that ever had more than a light hard feeling on the outside are ones that were mistakenly left out of the jar for too long. Now the little tiny ones are another story, those seem pointless to me. I got them to use in my "daily smoke" container but it was hard as a rock after a week and they don't even stay hydrated while stored inside the ziplock they come in.
@@jackgoff4859 My bovedas (in case you aren't talking about boost) came in sealed packs and the ones i haven't opended are still good after a year. When you smoke daily a lot of dry air will come into your jars so that's my guess on why they don't last. Maybe trying to close the jar directly ater taking your bud out can help.
You could've make this video in under 3:00 minutes
He's mellow. if you're in a rush increase the playback speed.
you can also not have watched....booom!!!
That’s too funny! Oh the irony.
He said he put in two humidistats for his experiment. Those aren’t humidistats, they’re hygrometers. The funny part here is that products that he’s testing are actually the real humidistats!
That’s great, and this guy sells these.
Hello catamarac, I think you may have some wrong information. Maybe you were thinking of a dessicant? Here's an excerpt from Wikipedia "A humidistat is an electronic device analogous to a thermostat but which responds to relative humidity, not temperature." Link to Wikipedia article: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Humidistat
@@GrowersHouseGrowLab Ha.This just gets better doesn't it. I'm not trying to be rude, but sir? A link to Wikipedia? Here try this one www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/humidistat
That's an actual definition from an actual dictionary. ": an instrument for regulating or maintaining the degree of humidity"
Even so what you quoted still proves you to be wrong "responds to relative humidity" as in it adjusts it.
Mind you, you are also forgetting to mention calling the hygrometer a humidistat.
Why don't you look up hygrometer while you're at it. Here let me help: www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/hygrometer
": any of several instruments for measuring the humidity of the atmosphere"
@@m3rshylol Certainly not wrong, and there is no up to calm down from.
Wanna do a recap on this? The market is going strong, and I am curious about the 55 vs 62 percent humidity debate.
62 seems too moist to me
62 for cure, 55 for smoking.
62 w Integra Boost keeps it perfect, 58 is a lil dry and burns alot quicker. I do keep 58's to put in with preground and stuff like that. Is Rosin supposed to be stored at a certain RH, or only about temp and light?
add a raw hydrostone and you're good for ages. And i bet these packs can be re hydrated.
Makes your weed taste like wet grass .
Hydrostone to rehydrate packs packs to keep weed fresh/help with cure
Great video, have u tried the Boveda Butler for monitoring curing? It sells for about $20
DUDE...
Integra lasts longer...BECAUSE ...Their pack is 67grams!
I doubt it's any better!
MY QUESTION!!!
Can you RECHARGE Integra!????
Cause you CAN recharge the Boveda with distilled water!!!
I just purchased the Integra today and the store where I purchased said that you can put these right up against your material and he said the Boveda it’s not recommended. Not sure if that is accurate?
boveda give a bad taste
Sigmundy Freud I thought it was just me I knew I taste a difference
@@manuelclark2880 I picked up some integras today, I'll give em a try. If the product tastes better, that'll be great! Never thought the Boveda gave mine a bad taste.
@@manuelclark2880 apparently they use salt or something as opposed to integra
where did you find that shirt
Do u still need to pop the top a few days a week
Dude you need to cure the weed for 1 month. Once that is done then you do not have to open the jar, these will maintain the humidity, its good for long term storage. So you should burp the jars till the cure is done, that is 4 weeks
Can I ask what you !wan by burping the jars and how do you cure and why do you have to cure it if storing it. Sorry newbie to the stoner world. Just finally started smoking when I got ill after 30 years lol
What was your room temp
for a quart size mason jar, what size of packet is recommended?
I saw in the comments on products reviews/questions the 8 gram packets are good for quart size jars.
Love your T-shirt dude awesome 😂
Do you dry buds first or put it in straight off the plant
Dry and cure buds 1st and foremost. Then use humidity pack to store and keep fresh. :)
Dylabong420 nah use the packs to cure
@@Dylabong420
You want to dry it close to your target range (55%-62%) if you're not carefull you will dry it out and lose trichomes.
Try the old stem "bend but not break" rule lol
Always dry your buds first before curing
I found with the Boost pack that if it got to dry, that I could put it and the tag in a bag with some RO water and it recharges to pack.
not clear on how to do that specifically by what you say.
@@CottonBoxer I realize I'm late to the party, but in case you never got a solid answer
I'd like to share an easy method to recharge Integra packs.
All you need is a big jar and a jar that will fit inside the small jar... then use water not orange peels
if there's multiple kinds of flowers in one jar, can i a boost still? or do i have to separate each flower and give them their own boost pac?
Does vacuum sealing weed in mason jars hurt the trichomes?
pharmjar
A little bit but plastic bags kills terpenes
weed is not that delicate... Try making some ice bag hash and see how fun it is to knock the trichomes off... Dude, we used to keep weed in rolled up sandwich baggies, shoved in to jeans pockets... True the bags get sticky and waste some resin, but we still get high.
Kids these days are so spoiled and worry too much. Trichomes feel no pain, the plant is already dead.
Good explanation
Love the shirt
You can rehydrate your Boveda Pack by wrapping it in a damp paper towel with distilled water and placing it in a zip lock a while.
You can soak them right in distilled water
@@JS-te4gz The package won't last as long. Water degrades the paper when soaking.
The question is can u rehydrate the Integra packs. They are gelatin and Glycerin so it is doubtful. Look for Bovidia to change construction to deter recharging.
I rehydrated and it didn’t work anymore. It was crystallized and turned liquid but in the jar it didn’t regulate humidity any more 🤦🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
You can also recharge the boveda pack by submersing it in distilled water for 48 hours
I just wrap it in some slightly damp paper towel with purified water , rehydrated the pack and it works good as new
Do you have to weigh it back to its original weight ? Ex 8gr etc?
So, is there a way to mantain the buds fresh for a complete year? How big growers do it?
The less you open the container the humidipacks are in, the longer they will last. A container with them opened 12 times in 1 month will go bad about as quickly as one opened 12 times in 6 months. All depends on how long those little packs are exposed to air.
@@GrowersHouseGrowLab Thank you!!

Vacuum sealing in glass containers. No humidity packs needed.
@@ryanwilson5936
But won't you need the RH cure done first before vacume sealing? I was thinking about that myself
Steve Allen
Yes. But that can be done very easily without the need for any humidity regulating packet.
My 3 Hygrometer show 64% humidity
if your environment is 77 degrees, that's a little on the warm side, you should be using a 58.
Am I the only ones who feel that 62 is to low? I feel that the plant is a bit to dry in my cvault with a 62. Was thinking about getting the next one up next time.
not all all. i find it perfect for cure but too wet to use

great review
I had some super dry weed from tweed and the integra packs didn't do shit and it has been in my jar for a week. Bud is still damn near powder
Hey Matthew. Use a blimpifier to hydrate your dry weed first then use the humidity packs. This process works great. Cheers,
If Nate means at 5:40 that the Integra leaches terpenes to a lesser degree, he could just say so. I seriously doubt it.
Bruh, it's night and day, nothing about being more "attuned" to it.
What if it leaks
Throw everything away if it does leak
Hey don’t try to rehydrate these things you cheep-skates, just buy a new one. Boost is the way to go. Bovida comes in Unbleached packaging I think that’s where the bad taste comes from.
well I mean yeah the integra weighs 7 more grams l, I'd hope it would last longer than the other?? LOL
I'm sticking to 58% humidity Boveda.

Boveda packs can be refreshed and reused.
How
@@faba1709 Put them in a Tupperware with a wet sponge for three days.
@@faba1709 Make sure not to contaminate them. You can soak them in DESTILLED water but the best guess for me is to just let them rehydrate from high humidity. If you place them in a box with water and make sure they don't touch the water they recharge and you don't have to get destilled water. Takes a bit longer but it's the safest way.
@@christopherstein2024 safest from what??🤷🏾♂️💯🤣
@@sacballa_kills_em_wit_facts If they touch the water, it can introduce contaminants. These contaminants can clog the pack and make it inaccurate or ineffective. That can cause mold... So you keep the pack out of the water, it will just absorb the evaporated water from the air inside the container. Any contaminants in the water will not evaporate, so the pack wont absorb them. Contaminants is just normal stuff in tap water, minerals, birth control, etc...

62 or 58
62 for curing
The only problem with your test is the hydromer your using are crap. Control is what I do for a living.
My work meter costs almost a grand and we have to send them off every year to get certified.
Good revew anyway.
It’s hygrometer bro
only the cheap ones bru, the expensive ones are called hydromers LOL
A hygrometer measures humidity, the amount of water vapor in air. A hydrometer, on the other hand, measures the density or specific gravity (SG) of a liquid by floating in the liquid.
Just being a smartass here not trying to be a dick I'm just stoned and laughed while reading sv wild hair up his ass again stoned and being dumb but obviously your work don't care about spelling because it's hygrometer and believe not beleve.. lol it just made me laugh is all, I misspell all the time as well.
