Man Hamamura Higashi is becoming a baseball factory. Kikuchi and Ohtani both being from there is crazy enough, now apparently the manager's son is a beast too!
Yeah! Rintaro is the son of Shohei’s coach Sasaki from HANAMAKI-HIGASHI High school. Coach Sasaki was managing both Yusei Kikuchi and later Shohei Ohtani. Much has been credited to Ohtanis Coach Kuriyama from Nippon Ham Fighters but according to Ohtani, Coach Sasaki had big influence on Shohei’s discipline and interest in reading many self improvement books. Sasaki was the one that made his students write the now famous MANDALA CHART of life. He also taught Shohei humility by making him clean the toilets saying: the one that stands on the highest spot, the mound, has to equally learn to do the lowest work. BALANCE…! Im sure, young Rintaro will do well. Heard papa coach doesn’t favor him over other students. Quite the contrary. Iwate has something the air. The Unicorn, the Pitcher Sasaki and now the slugger Sasaki…keep churning out studs!!
@@RussellRussell-wy2omwell, Ohtani soeaks for it self. I don’t believe Coach Sasaki made any decision on his sons choice to study in the US. Sasaki and Ohtani Sr, has in common never to tell their kids what to do, instead let them make their own choices and then take responsibility for it. Rintaro grew up watching Shohei up close.
@mirikaku5811 I see eventually many more Asian players playing College in the US because they eventually want an easier transition to the MLB level. Hyun-seok Jang forego the KBO draft and decided to sign to the Dodgers. He would have been the #1 pick in the KBO draft. For Rintaro to forego the NPB draft indicates his goal is the MLB.
@@RussellRussell-wy2omcould be so in the future when Japanese players now have more options. Thanks to Ichiro and others. Ohtani’s impact on confidence to try many new options are so impactful in the history of Japanese baseball ⚾️ hopefully, it will enrich the baseball and bring new audiences…
@mirikaku5811 ichiro definitely paved the way for position players. But, let's not forget Nomo. That was pretty amazing too. I'm excited to see Yamamoto and Imanaga here next year. Home Run leader Kazuma Okamoto has to wait, as Yomiuri Giants won't be making him available coming offseason.
My dad is close friends with the Stanford Baseball pitching and hitting coaches so I was lucky enough to watch him hit in an intersquad. he hit a ball into the pool across from right field
Thanks for this...But what about on the pitching side? Any interesting future phenom in high school baseball especially the recently concluded Summer Koshien?
What are your thoughts on Kiyomiya going for average this year. I think it’s great because this is the best version of him ever in the npb but it’s only 17 games and I might be reaching
When he played at spring last year he got dominated by ace Yoneda who was just throwing high fastball after high fastball, he needs to learn to lay off those
He enrolled at Stanford about a month ago. He won't be eligible to play in any games until next season but he is practicing with the team and has even gone on a couple road trips.
He's built like a tank. It looks like he isnt done growing either. 6 feet 250 pds. He hits the ball clearly, that ball is out. But, he is too raw. He needs more experience. And, perhaps, in 6 to 7 years, we will hear about him in the mlb.
I know he has young and has room to develop, however when i watched his games at koshien, it was quite underwhelming I know, small sample size But best of luck to the kid

Hello friend 😂its HANAMAKI (not Hamamura…😂) good try…it’s a long name..
Can’t wait to see him bashing HRs in the United States for CWS champions LSU next season

If he’s the Prince Fielder of Japan, he should come play for the Brewers. Us Brew Crew fans would love it!😂
17. Too young. Perhaps in 6 years.
Can you show us how the draft works in NPB? Maybe, show some clips of the draft too?
he already did a video about NPB Draft..
I think one of his first, in fact..
Just search it..
Future Fighter is all I heard when Ohtani was was mentioned. Welcome to my team!
RIP he's stanford cardinal now
Rintaro Sasaki skipping NPB to play college baseball in U.S. 👏 😁 🤟
just stumbled upon this as he is rumored to skip NPN and go to a US college to get to MLB faster. Sounds crazy, have to nickname him Godzilla
Thanks for this...But what about on the pitching side? Any interesting future phenom in high school baseball especially the recently concluded Summer Koshien?
Yugo Maeda For Osaka Toin, Daiichi Hirano For Sendai Matsudo, and then Kyoei has a pitcher that reaches 155
Rooting hard for this absolute unit
Are you going to follow his US college career? He just announced he is going to play baseball in the US.
@@RussellRussell-wy2om I’ll be keeping tabs!
At the very least i could see him becoming a decent power bat like okamoto or say, yamakawa
In regards to Rintaro his best bet is to join a PL team to play DH imo

is there a possibility of him going to college cause I would rather see him in pro asap
also the double you showed was against Koryo his freshman year at Meiji tournament not senior year
Yeah you’re right, I had a different clip from his senior year but forgot to swap it out.
College baseball is about to start. Is he on the Vandy roster?
