@@SVT512 That's what so confusing. I have the current Portable and a previous model and it's the exact same behavior. For a second, I thought maybe I plugged it into the audio port, but that wasn't the same. Then I thought my tv need too much juice to display anything.
Have you had to replace the battery yet? My battery is completely dead dead. Won't hold a charge at all. I can still play it if I have the cord plugged in like I'm charging it though but thats just a pain I'm the ass. Trying to find a battery that works for it but am having problems knowing what will and won't work. Thanks
Appears to have the contacts very closer together and not spaced out like a normal NP-60 battery. So a NP60 will not work. I could find nothing on a replacement aside form someone using a external battery bank to power a portable like the Atari one. th-cam.com/video/0WfhGonOKZU/w-d-xo.html
@@SVT512 awe man. I was hoping a np60 would have worked. I like the litter atari thing. It sucks that the batteries are so hard to get. I'll probably just use a small power bank with and attach it to that. Thanks for the help it was greatly appreciated!
@@420RyanBruce I think I found a substitute. Its smaller than the original battery but has the same close terminals on it. it is also 1000mah instead of 750mah. Trying to come up with something to hold it in place in the battery compartment. I dont have a 3d printer, otherwise I would make a adapter insert to hold the battery in position.
ineresting, you used one of those cables that had a 3 rca plugs to one 3.5mm plug? the jack on the portable is only 2 channel (video and 1 channel audio) The 3 channel cable may work but you would not get the stereo out. Can you make a vid showing you using this cable then unplug each one of the stereo out one at a time to see if the sound stays?
***** Send me a reminder or something,. I could show off the cable. I just don't have the camera work to show it in action. What you suggested with the sound is a good idea. I don't care if I get stereo, particularly with the Atari 2600 system. I am just behind on stuff, so I am thinking about what to do here. I know I need to go over my NX/Switch prediction. I was generally on surprisingly.
I used a two channel cable with one 3.5 mm plug on one end and two RCA jacks on the other. I used a second one plugged into the headphone jack to give it stereo to the TV.
I can't get mine too display video. I actually was able to hook up the audio, and I was able to get some pretty good sound, but for the life of me, I can't figure out how to get video. It simply won't work. With some of my yellow cables, the television displayed some static lines, but that's about it. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I'm thinking about buying an expensive 3.5mm to rca online, even though I already have one, but I'm not sure it will work. I've tested my tv with some plug n' plays, and it works fine. Can you please, please offer me some of your wisdom? BTW, great channel!
*Te felicito por tu colección....grandiosa!*
Great video , Does the sound also come from the TV your plugged into ?
Yes it does
@@SVT512 ok cool thanks
I bought a cable for my Portable but my tv keeps saying that there's no signal (or weak dignal). Do I have to plug in the portable to a power supply?
I didnt have to, very strange

No. Remove the battery cover and see what model number of battery it is and do a search on Amazon.com or Google.

@@SVT512 Nice! Please keep me updated! I don't have a 3d printer either so would probably try cardboard or Styrofoam or maybe some corrugated plastic.
Can you hook up a second controller?
I got working on Flat TV, but in a old CRT TV only got sound. Anyone teste in a tube tv?
If the same audio source is coming out of both channels wouldn't that make it dual mono not true stereo?
most likely, I just like hearing the sound come from both speakers instead of one :P
I managed to run one cable with one video, and two audio, and it worked.

Whats the av cables name and the tv you need to run it called
I just got my Portable and wondered how you'd connected it to your monitor? What cables, besides the one you showed, did you use?
