Your encouragement really reaches out. I used this kind of squatting to recover my knees years back after a really bad long board crash, this kind of work actually feels incredibly satisfying.

As usual, very useful, practical and effective. I totally agree with and am grateful for the inspiring thought at the end. Cheers

Tony Ferguson would approve, I like to believe. Outstanding insight and perspective, thank you.

What an exemplary Guru. As if he were addressing only me; that is definition of Teaching. Once again, this body appreciates the Knowledge. One love

Excellent lessons. I enjoyed your comment about the "mature warrior". Its somewhat annoying when you know your physical limitations by previous experiences and people who have not witnessed them attempt to encourage you to do them anyway.
    Great talk, thank you!

Sitting is a sin deeply engraved in our culture. Many sit 8h a day in their work, perhaps 1h a day for commute and 3h at home and then sleep in a sitting conformation... (legs up, neck and arms forward). This makes 20 of our 24h!
If you have only a tiny table and Tatami, you´ll move a lot more and use more of your body's mobility. Similarly, I see a lot of old Europeans that struggle standing up or going downstairs, but in Asia, many still sleep on the floor even in old age.
The one thing that really blew my mind was watching people in a park. Yes, I was sitting there. I saw a kindergarten group running around and they were clearly not used to uneven ground and they kept falling and crying. Later, I saw a kid getting his kite entangled in a tree and an African guy in his 60s, maybe older, climbed that tree in seconds got that kite down. I don´t even know if I could have climbed that tree, being physically fit and half his age... I know for sure that most people I know certainly would not have been able to climb that tree even if their life was on the line! That tree had no low hanging branches and a smooth surface. Thus, you needed to be able to apply a lot of pressure to the stem in order to climb it. On top of it, most people I know can´t lift their own bodyweight in a pull-up.

I can´t do cossack squats/fisherman/archer or whatever you want to call them. I can squat down (with my heel hovering) and then stretch out one leg and stand up, but I can´t go down into this position. I don´t feel any resistance. It´s like trying to move my toes individually, or move them in-plane (yes, these things are possible, but many people, including myself, can´t!).
    What should I do?

Did you and the Russian Systema channel both try to post videos about the squat at the same time?

Trinidad Molina really not. I just had a request for this yesterday on two aspects of squatting so this is a response.
